Yeah, holidays will be busy no matter what. I should still be around most of the time, aside from the main event.
By the way, writing sonnets is freaking hard. I spent hours on that little bit, and it still doesn't even fit the damn metre.

Hey guys! Happy Holidays! I'm working back into my games from my absence, but I've been battling Vertigo these last weeks and it's making reading more challenging than I would like and turning posting into a chore. I'm still here, just wanted to let you know why I'm not super responsive.

Okay, you had me confused there for a moment.
So, uh... aside from being dreadfully cursed, does anyone mind if Naberius claims the items? I don't know if Mera or Monday can get any use out of the scrolls, but Naberius is the only one that can benefit from the pearl of power. The handy haversack could be useful as well, seeing as Naberius is the weakest member of the group. He's already only barely above his light load limit.

Assuming there are no objections, Naberius will claim the haversack and its contents.
@DM RichD: There are some good questions in the gameplay thread, but I don't know if Naberius has the answers. Is there a way of determining how long it will take for the curse to go off, or what the "predetermined event" is?

Naberius finds all necromancy distasteful, but mostly as an extension of his revulsion towards the living dead. I think he can stomach spells that don't deal directly with undead creatures. Even then, I think he'd rather take control of a hostile zombie rather than have it claw his face off. Creating undead is where he draws the line.
With that said, the scrolls are totally up for grabs, if Monday can use them. I agree that they're more her style, anyway.

I have a few friends that are really hyped about it, so I'll probably end up trying it at some point through them. Personally, I can think of a bunch of other scifi RPGs that I'd rather try. My main gripe with D&D/Pathfinder (as much as I love the latter) is that they make it near impossible to get anyone to try out new systems, so I'm sort of hoping that Starfinder bombs, honestly. :/

Okay, DM help-Can the howler even climb out of the pit if it makes its clinmb check because half of it would be out and half in or does it need to bull rush Tal?
Male Human (Chelaxian) Infernal Binder 4 | AC 12 | HP 32/32 | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +6 | CMB +1, CMD 13 | Init +2 | Perception +2 (+4 with familiar), Spellcraft +12
The squares surrounding the pit are sloped. Because the howler failed its save, it slides in and falls to the bottom of the 20-foot pit (meaning it should take falling damage accordingly) and is now located in the same 10-feet area which the pit occupies on the grid. It can't really be "half in." As for climbing out, it could either squeeze into the space in front of Tal, or get out on the other side where there is more space.
NARRATOR Skirgaard GS Map / SS MAP/
Got it. So 20 feet should be 2d6 damage and a climb DC 25 to get out of the pit on the side furthest from all of you.
Male Human (Chelaxian) Infernal Binder 4 | AC 12 | HP 32/32 | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +6 | CMB +1, CMD 13 | Init +2 | Perception +2 (+4 with familiar), Spellcraft +12
Yup, unless it wants to fight Tal while standing precariously on the sloped side of the pit and suffering from squeezing penalties.

Hmm, I'm not sure if the pit goes away at the end of this turn or at the beginning of the next one. It's been around for four rounds now, in any case.
I got some real mileage out of that spell, that's for sure.
NARRATOR Skirgaard GS Map / SS MAP/
I would think it goes away in this round. My question is...when it goes, what happens to the howler inside of it?
Male Human (Chelaxian) Infernal Binder 4 | AC 12 | HP 32/32 | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +6 | CMB +1, CMD 13 | Init +2 | Perception +2 (+4 with familiar), Spellcraft +12
Create Pit wrote: "When the duration of the spell ends, creatures within the hole rise up with the bottom of the pit until they are standing on the surface over the course of a single round." So yeah, it is actually the round after.
NARRATOR Skirgaard GS Map / SS MAP/
Two things:
1. I am assuming that even though the pit is filling in, it won't be completely filled in until the end of Naberius' turn meaning the howler can't make an attack.
2. My understanding is that Tuesday, while at 0 HP does not go back to the Ethereal Plane until his negative HP is equal to or greater than his con score. Is he conscious or unconscious?
m Human Ftr 10 HP:122/122 AC*:33,23,30 Saves:11/8*/9* CMB: +20 CMD: 39 Init: +3 Perc: +15 Link to the spreadsheet
I believe that the pit would be fully filled in at the start of Naberius turn much like how a summoned monster would get its attack and then have its duration expire.
I always considered all spells to expire at the beginning of their casters original init. It makes tracking more difficult but it keeps from having a character delay so the spell never ends.
As for Tuesday...I have no idea.
