It is pretty simple, and right now has three big benefits.
1.) it is a single quick way to view all of your PbPs (on Paizo) at one time, and will show new posts.
2.) it has the bbcode hotkeys already added, so using a lot of bold, ooc, italics, spoilers, and dice rolls is very easy.
3.) it removed a lot of the extra features, market, and banners from the Paizo site, so as to make the loading time much quicker.
I'm not going to lie, I can use it but not post from it due to my Galaxy phone being too old until he can update it again, but even just getting all of my games in one spot and seeing which has new posts is great.

He is. I have him in a few of my games.

Also, if it's not too much trouble and you wouldn't mind, I'd like to try the Faction Missions on the side (for fun).
Zantir Mendoza

Well, whether we do them or not, I at least want to know what they are!
| DM PeteZero |
No problems with faction missions, enjoy them:
Your latest exploit takes you to the Katapeshi villa of Temel Passad, a most challenging rival of the Satrap’s
business interests. We have suspected for some time that our mercantile delegation to the Kalistocracy of
Druma has been compromised and that Passad is the traitor’s paymaster. Seek out a book bound in purple
leather and check the entry for 20 Abadius of this year. Note any names, activities, and amounts exchanged
and bring that information back to us.
Warmest Regards,
Trade Prince Aaqir al’Hakam
We have managed to infiltrate the Aspis Consortium with one of our agents. Her name is Thaemis Renald
and she is posing as a priest of Asmodeus, though she is actually a devoted servant of Iomedae. She has been
unable to pass on a report to us for some time. It is our understanding that Thaemis is being dispatched to
one of Temel Passad’s properties, as are you. Though the probability is low that the two of you should meet,
if by the grace of all good gods you do, see to it that you find a way to obtain her report to pass on to us.
May Right Prevail,
Ollysta Zadrian
I have a delicate assignment for you that illustrates my perfect confidence in your absolute loyalty to the
Society. Your journey to Temel Passad’s Katapeshi villa offers a priceless opportunity to obtain another book
he is rumored to possess. It is an old tome bound in leather with only three words on its spine: “The Lost
Fifth.” Locate this book and bring it back to me—unopened. I realize that I am asking a great deal of you with
this cryptic proscription, but by returning with the tome and obeying my request you will earn much esteem
in my eyes and those of our comrades.
Success!

GM, if you post the link to the map in the short description section of the Campaign tab then it will show up at the top of the page. That's really nice so we don't need to hunt for the map post and you don't have to repost it all the time.

Oh, well if it is your first time I will throw out a few more hints then. PBP is inherently a slow medium of roleplaying, so anything that speeds up the process without changing the game significantly is good.
The GM should roll Initiative for everyone. This allows the first round of combat to be set up right away and players can jump into that action instead of waiting a day for everyone to log on and make a single, brainless die roll.
The GM should roll Saves for characters when the outcome will impact the flow of combat. A Will save vs Hold Person will change the decisions of other characters while a save vs poison that deals 1d2 stat damage is not a big deal to other characters and the player can roll it for themselves when they post.
Don’t be afraid to move the story along. If a side conversation is taking too long, skip it and move on with the plot. You don’t need to wait for everyone to post before taking the next step. The GM sets the pace for these games. We don’t want to stall out and be here for 3 months. For myself, I lose interest if things are too slow and then my roleplaying quality and post rate declines rapidly.
On the flip side, this medium provides a grand opportunity to play up NPC and PC interactions. Take the time to breath extra life into your NPCs that you would not have in a table top timeframe. As a GM, show off! As players we can rise to the occasion and enliven our PCs! I have several characters and my favorites are the ones I developed and fleshed out in PBP scenarios.

Not first time - first time on paizo boards, but still thankful for tips. I prefer group initiative, yes, I roll all, then see which group goes first, players or enemies, speeds things up.
And I like games fast, but guess we won't break the record when I was playing in Mists of Mwangi - 8 days for PbP.

Alternatively, something you can also try, under your DM PeteZero "character sheet", the first three lines will appear under your avatar, (that's how I have my quick stats there for each of my posts). If you copy the BBCode and link the map, it will also appear each time you post, which can be very helpful. When I DM, I also try to make sure that I post the Init fairly close to the top of the page each time, even if I just posted it one one of the last posts. It makes it easier to quickly scroll and find without trying to repost it all the time. I have found that Google Drawings work amazing for maps, and are also something that is interactive, allowing everyone to move their pieces around with ease. If you need any help or advice, feel free to ask.

Here is an example of what I was talking about with the map links. Feel free to click on the AotKotI (Assault ont he Kingdom of the Impossible), which I just finished, and it shouldn't be an issue if you want to mess with it a bit.

I wasn't going to buy anything, but would still like to switch out a few spells (in a few minutes). Last chance, is there anything the party would like me to get specifically?
Sometimes just not understanding these mortals, Ignatious will follow to the best of his ability, but is partially know for standing out in a crowd. After a short prayer <Guidance>, he begins to move.

EDIT: Posted in the wrong forum, will copy it over, but the dice roll is not going to look right.

I like Hold Person, Dispel Magic, Prayer, Air Walk, Lesser Restoration, Resist Energy Communal, Debilitating Portent, Weapon of Awe, and Blessing of Fervor.
Specifically for casting on my character, I would request Weapon of Awe and Blessing of Fervor.
Ignatious the Seeker of Flame

Dispel Magic, Blessing of Fervor I have. :)
Bless (for Prayer). I have a scroll of Lesser Restoration and also the Temple vanity to help with that. I have Magic Weapon wand, so I'll hold off on Weapon of Awe and see if anyone else has any suggestions/requests.
Actually, I did want to pick up 2 Spring Loaded Wrist Sheaths, (I might have already purchased and not updated to this character sheet. In them I will put Wand of Air Bubble, and in the other Wand of Cure Mod, both also having a Weapon Cord attached. :)

Also, I guess this did not take last time:
Hey guys, I just saw THIS and wanted to share. Way to easy to miss this sort of thing, so please pass it along.
<DM Rah showed me, so lets give credit where credit is due :)>

I already have a +1 Weapon, so Magic Weapon is useless to me. BUT Weapon of Awe stacks because it is a Sacred Bonus. :)
Also, I have an 18-20 crit range.
Lirianne - Gunslinger
|
DM, I've just been going over my character sheet with Beckett. It turns out that I'd forgotten to copy in a few of the gunslinger abilities (nimble and gun training).
I've added those now, but while looking over the pregen pdfs, I noticed that the lvl 7 Lirianne sheet lists her iterative attack as a mwk pistol dealing 1d6+4 damage, despite the fact that pistols should be rolling d8s.
Am I missing something? To be honest I'll probably not even use both pistols at once, since I need a hand free to reload them, but if at some point I do need to use the mwk one it would be good to know what damage it is supposed to be dealing.
Should I just play it as written?

Do we want to start moving on?

I have not played Zantir since leveling him to 6. I forgot how ridiculous he is in melee combat now. :)

Im cool with that. Something else that speeds hp games is either if for Know checks if you simply put the checks under spoilers.

I certainly don'y want to rush the game or take anything away from it for the others. It was merely a question of whether or not you thought this was a quick scenario, i.e. three railroaded encounters or more RP heavy. If he doesn't get in, so be it. At the moment there is only one other player signed up, so it may very well not happen. Just want to restate that I don't want to rush this one. Thanks.

I'll pop into the kingly guest room, try on his crown, sit in the throne, pop out my cell phone for a few pics, and then we can move on. :)

Ok, I bought it. So far I like it.
stars: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2.
One improvement I see right away. It would be nice to have the ability to hide campaigns in your list. So I can ignore the dead ones.
