I will be traveling starting tomorrow afternoon to attend Mid South Con where I am helping run PFS. I'll be busy and often without access to the internet so my posting will be very limited if at all. Everyone have a good weekend.

Saw THIS POST yesterday, and wanted to ask youse guys about, especially point 1. Would it be helpful if I post the critters AC / DR / SR for you to see, to help speed along game play and make it easier on you to be more descriptive of combats?
Let me know what you think please,

Agreed. I can't think of any bad reason for it, assuming the players in question are mature enough to separate personal knowledge from character knowledge, which I'm sure everyone here is. It allows more player narration in their posts as well as speeds up things on your side by making it easier for you to determine if something has hit or not.

That would work for me but I am fine either way.
I am in Breckenridge Colorado for a quick ski trip. I hope to have time to post some, but that did not happen this first travel day. Totally exhausted and have to get up early. I'll be home Sunday.

OK DM Papa.DRB, you are "killing" me with anticipation. I find myself holding my breath every time I check the list updates. lol.

Pity. One round away from a win. Wish I could have rolled higher to-hits.
Each character in the group seemed to be a good build, but I always felt that the group did not mesh well with each other. With only one healer maybe we should have tried to hold Gundar back from combat, at least initially. But that was not his build or inclination.

I understand the player point of view, but this is much like to me about online MMO RPG thinking: “You each have a predetermined role and you cannot leave it.”
I think that the character motivation should dictate how he acts, not his ‘role’ in the party; also, an outgoing Gromff was much more funny and enjoyable for us, and the player, than a held back dwarf, even if a held back dwarf could have saved us! :D

Yea, I am not saying we would have been able to hold Gundar back. :) He played his character great. I certainly did not mean to imply anyone did anything "wrong", but only that it seemed to me that the mix of characters never meshed as well as it might have.

I am running two other PbP at this site, as well as a home game.
In the PbPs:
In one, there is a Cleric/Sorcerer/Mystic Theurge (only 1/2 level behind in cleric) that was made before the 2nd update to the FAQ, as well as a Bard who took cures as some of her spells, so there is a healer and a half.
In the other one, there is a Cleric and an Inquisitor, so again a healer and a half+.
In the home game, I am concerned because of the four characters, only one has healing and that is a Druid. Even with a wand of cure light (they just made 5th level), they blew thru most of that in 3 fights.
I have figured out that the secondary healer is really needed in the Paizo APs if the group is going forward. Also, I think that a fifth character would have helped tremendously.

As far as what I am running next, it will be a Darklands campaign:
.
.
.
.
Based on the "Rise of the Drow" trilogy from Adventure A Week.
Book 1 - (Prologue 1-6) ---- The Darkness Arrives
Book 2 - (Main AP 6-16) --- Rise of the Drow
Book 3 - (Epilogue 16-20) - The Commander of Malice
and it will be five characters. I will get the recruitment post up within a week. It will be titled: DM Papa.DRB – Darklands Campaign – Recruitment

Gundar Ironbeard |

It is always tricky to play a combat orientated cleric, a couple of good hits (which happened here) and the party is without a healer.
BTW What is everyone thinking of submitting for the new Darklands campaign so we don't duplicate submissions?

DM Papa.DRB |

Just to make sure you all understand, I am opening this up to everyone when I set up the recruitment post, so while you have a "leg" up on getting in, it is not a guarantee of acceptance.
Not sure if that is what you were saying Gundar, but I want to make clear that this will be an open recruitment, within the parameters stated.

Yep. I figured it will help competing against others if we are not competing against each other...
