Hey all. A question and a request.
Question: are there any objections to reading spoilers text, whether in play or in a character's profile background? I just saw in the general discussion a thread on this and noticed there were a range of opinions. I have to GM all my F2F games so I think I'm pretty good at separating what I know in character from meta game knowledge, but I also want to respect any boundaries folks want.
Request: I've been playing F2F exclusively the last seven or so years. Before that, my "text-based" experience was in old school MUSHes and MUDs, where interaction was live and constant. So, this is a new format for me. (To wit, I'm trying to refrain from over-posting or writing long walls of text.) I've read the guides and a few gameplay threads (for inspiration in my F2F games), but if you have any suggestions of feedback on what I could do better, please let me know.

I don't mind having mine read either. If something is especially private we can pm the GM or put a comment next to the spoiler to warn each other off.

Hey all I was in one of Mathpros rotrl campaigns before he took his hiatus...
I noticed this campaign yesterday...If you have any openings... I have a Kensai (not the shocking grasp type, but a tripping dirty trick maneuver guy) that I would love to play..
OK, that is all...Had to give it a shot. If there are no openings, that is cool and I hope you have a great campaign

Mathpro's exam is today so hopefully you and the Druid will get approved soon.
I love seeing people make use of combat maneuvers.
For once, I don't really have a long term plan in mind, but I'm leaning towards a mix of buffs for you guys and enchantments for enemies. Probably make up my mind after seeing how the group is working. I don't see Fyn being much of a warrior priest; you guys seem to have that covered. (Was someone also going to be rolling up a monk, or did that person decide on a different class?) I feel like there was a 7th PC in the wings.

I'm torn between a classic minmaxed-for-CAGM barbarian and a less classic but still awesome spirited charge jump-on-the-druid-and-go RAGELANCEPOUNCE build. Either way I'm getting Spell Sunder at 6th and aiming for Greater Beast Totem by 10th, and probably going to jump on the druid and go anyways (but at x2 damage instead of x3).

Hey guys I just wanted to pop in and say I haven't disappeared...my exam is today as Fyn pointed out and I have several proofs I need to memorize(I.e write over and over and over again until they stick) so thats what I've been doing...I will post tomorrow and get more active after this blasted exam is done. I think I've earned a day or two break from studying before I start studying for my linear algebra exam on Monday...thankfully after Monday exams are done for another month or two.

I plan to use dazing fireballs as my mainstay, admixing for best effect depending on enemy resistances.
I might splash in a single level of cross blooded sorceror, orc/primal fire, but I'm not sure. That would give me +1 damage per die, +1 damage per fire die, and 4 more cantrips. Maybe at level 6.

Barbarian A. Barbarian |

Gotcha. In that case I'll go CAGM for my main plan then, and leave trying to jump on people for a desperation tactic borne of desperation and... tactic.
Since trained dire bat mounts are probably going to be rare around here and all.

Alrighty, this is Warforgedman here and here is my rogue for the AP. It has been a long time since I did a two-weapon fighting rogue blender, so here he is. Unbelievably good at noticing things and at 3rd level, will be adding my Dexterity to the damage of my short swords. He'll specialize in flanking and supporting the front line. He also is pretty decent in finding the best item in a treasure horde with that Goblin Watcher ability.
He also is friends with Ameiko, which gives us a little more moolah every time we sell things.

If Krios was in town during the Chopper murders, I wonder if he and Fyn would know (or know of) each other. Fyn grew up in town but left after the church burned down. With 1,000+ people, could be easy to miss each other, but not exactly a lot of non-humans either so they might stand out. Tots up to you.

Krios Kulmollva |

Yeah, he was definitely in town during that time. His mother was one of the Chopper's victims. Krios himself and his father tended to keep to themselves for a bit but he's a young elf and used anything as an excuse to try and escape his boredom/loneliness. As an aasimar, Krios could've definitely known you previously. Maybe acquaintances and almost-friends before Fyn left?

Krios Kulmollva |

Sounds good to me!
@Gurich - If you're interested, perhaps Krios is the one who is trying to get you to meet the people of Sandpoint? He is a friendly sort and maybe helped Gurich out of some trouble at some point, maybe his "mother" was sick and Krios helped pay for it when the the wild child was caught stealing?
I just like the idea of the rogue and the druid being friends. :D

Krios Kulmollva |

After reading the story written so far and seeing our current cast of characters, I'm excited to see the shenanigans we'll end up in trying to save Sandpoint.

Fyn Sil'forrin |

Barb/Trinam-- so, the other night, I was rolling up a barbar for an Iron Gods campaign and I do a search for an archetype and guide, and this guide comes up with someone typing in all caps and with funny phrases like "THIS AM GOOD BARBARIAN YOU AM TELL FROM +5 CLOAK OF RESISTANCE AND NO SHIRT".
I LOLd. Fun guide. Had no idea we had someone "published" in the group. :-)
Of course, this means, Barbarian A Barbarian better be flawless. ;-)

Barbarian A. Barbarian |

It's still derivative either way, it's just that I'm copying myself to follow through with this one fresh prince of bel air meme that I did one time like four years ago.
@Fyn: I make no promises whatsoever other than the promise of SMASH. And probably never wearing an actual shirt if I can help it. And hopefully a tragic allnight addiction starting at ~6th level. Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed the read and good luck with your barbarian. :D

Gurcich Morbet |

@Gurich - If you're interested, perhaps Krios is the one who is trying to get you to meet the people of Sandpoint? He is a friendly sort and maybe helped Gurich out of some trouble at some point, maybe his "mother" was sick and Krios helped pay for it when the the wild child was caught stealing?
Sounds great! Let's do that!
Krios is the one trying to get Gurcich come and live in Sandpoint, and right now would be the person Gurcich trust the most.
Krios Kulmollva |

Cheers to that! I hope you're exam went well Mathpro and that you bless me with your wonderful approval powers :D

Well, he told us life has the habit of mess with his playing. I hope he comes back soon.

Uli Sabaniero |

I was in a game with him before (One of the best groups I've worked with, still going strong) it was a shame when he felt he couldn't run the game anymore but, crucially, he was very communicative with us. He explained what was going on and that he had to pull out.
I don't see why this would be any different. I'm still hopeful he will be back.
