Two arrows hit with solid thunks and stick in the man's armor.

Then Kelda Oxgutter lets out a roar and rushes to the front.

Her raging blow cuts down the warrior!

The tall Ulfen knocks aside his goblet and instead snatches up a small potion bottle from one side of the table. He quaffs it, then stands from his chair and rushes toward the door, pushing past his allies and stepping over bodies. "I know not who you be, but you'll pay for this with your lives!" he shouts with an angry snarl.

Bernard pulls back out of the thatch and moves along the roof, out of sight of the people still inside.

That should be total concealment, right? So sneak attack again?

He pokes his head and bow back through and launches two arrows at the leader's wife.

Damage: 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3, 4) + 4 = 15

I am at work, and cannot access Roll 20. For the next few nights I will have to describe my actions. Hope that this isn't going to cause to many issues. :(

Bernard steps up across the roof and feels the thatch bow alarmingly under his feet. While it's possible to walk across a thatched roof, they do tend to become brittle and fragile and need to be replaced frequently. Still, with his acrobat's precision, Bernard is aware that he has some options.

So here's the deal with moving across this semi-shoddy roof. Whenever you move across it, it must make a saving throw, or part of the roof will cave in. That will precipitate you making a Reflex save to avoid falling, and will leave a large hole.
You can avoid this if you go prone (thereby distributing your weight).
Pulling open a space to fire arrows through the thatch counts as opening a portal, so it requires a move action if you relocate to a new area.

Bernard peppers the lord's wife with an arrow from above, which hits her in the hip and skids off her skirts, leaving her scowling and looking about for the assailant. "Someone's on the roof!" she shouts. "Get out there with bows and javelins!"

She moves into the circle of warriors near the south door, then points at Kelda.

Whatever the woman tried to do, Kelda shakes it off.

Alara looks the leader in the eyes and her eyes narrow to a glare.

He looks quite mean to her--and perhaps, susceptible to the whims of fate. May you live in interesting times, may you catch the eyes of those above you, and may your every wish come true.

In her mind's eye, she pictures a clear glass mirror with the man's image reflected within. With but a thought, the mirror cracks, and then explodes into a thousand shards of glass...

And he doesn't get a saving throw!

If the Ulfen leader understands what Alara has done to him, he doesn't show it.

The warriors continue to boil out of the house into the crowded doorway. The stunned warrior remains down, another moves up, and one in the house hurls a javelin at Morgrym.

A small detachment makes it out the back of the house, shouting as they go. One shouts, "Hey! Up there on the roof!" and points at Bernard. You hear more shouts from inside the house from rooms you can't see.

Easily sidestepping the clumsy swing of the drunken warrior, Lyraesel slashes at the warrior on the ground.

A brutal combination of strikes from Morgrym and Lyraesel eliminate some of the huscarls while Kersey steps up and slams down a tremendous blow at the tall barbarian leader. The strike slams into his shield with incredible force and you hear the snapping of breaking bones as he collapses under the mighty blow.

Shalelu steps closer to the door and launches an arrow at the next warrior inside the house.

Her arrow grazes off the warrior's helm, startling him slightly.

Kelda takes that opportunity to roar into melee with him.

Her sword catches against the warrior's axe and they grunt and struggle against one another before pushing back into a guard position once more.

The thrall near the door flees in terror from Kelda's approach.

...whoa. That acted a lot faster than I thought it would.

Earthbreaker is a heck of a thing.

My god that's a lot of Korean spam on the boards lately.

Bernard hustles around the edge of the house and drops back down to the ground and hides hoping to ambush the men coming around the corner.

A look of horror comes over the witch-woman's face when the tall man falls, and she turns and races into the other parts of the house.

Bernard catches one of the advancing men in the face. He stops, momentarily shocked, as it pierces his cheek and he's forced to actually remove the arrow and toss it aside.

Alara circles around, spies two men coming around the side with axes raised. She steps in front of them, smiles sweetly, and a burst of colour explodes from her eyes to engulf them!

DC 15 Will Save to avoid being Unconscious, Blinded & Stunned for: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 rounds, Blinded & Stunned for: 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds, then Stunned for 1 round.

One of the warriors collapses under Alara's blast, but the other gets his shield up in time to protect his eyes from the coruscating colors.

The one who fought off the spell advances on Alara and swings his axe at her.

His ferocious swing gives her second thoughts about joining the front ranks!

The other near the back of the house advances rapidly and likewise attacks Alara.

This time, the psychic is ready and backpedals from the attack.

Two more drunken warriors stagger out from one of the back rooms.

The three in the doorway all press their attacks against Kelda.

Note that Kelda is blocking the front door while she's raging, and since there's a wall of enemies on the other side of that doorway, there's no room to move past her and into the house. Oops. Morgrym, if you wanna take a chunk out of someone, Alara could use some help.

Growling as she notes the enemies coming around from the back and unable to get to those inside, Lyraesel begins a druidic chant calling upon nature itself to join the assault.

Cast Entangle, centered so that the enemies facing Shinrin are at the outer edge of the 40ft radius (should be fun for everyone eles who tries to use that exit)

Marked the center point and front edge on the map, would also extend 40ft back from center point as well as to the sides (eitehr blocked by the wall or up the walls if there's vines or something)

"I like her!" Kersey says with a chuckle as he watches Kelda hold the door. Glancing over to Alara he calls out "You doing okay, pup?"

You can take your action now if you want Kersey - you don't have to wait on Morgrym; you, Morgrym, and Lyraesel can act in any order within your particular place in the initiative, then the other NPCs will go.

Okies, I was mainly trying to think of what to do, can't help Kelda, and I could double move to get to Alara but that would block Bernard.

Fine to wait and see what other folks do too. Or you can Delay and then jump into the order later when you want.

I'll do that then.

Morgrym hearing the cries of pain around the corner, backs up, and then tries to act like a little wrecking back as he moves into combat to protect Shinrin.

Yeah that was a survivor of several mind-changes. I only meant to shoot one arrow since I don't think I have the angle on the one by Morgrim. I shot the one straight ahead of me.

Kersey struggles into the main room through one of the windows while the Ulfen warrior to Alara's right falls from Bernard's arrow.

Morgrym bashes the soldier, and his urgrosh slams hard into the man's solar plexus. Scales fly off his armor and the sound of several ribs breaking is quite audible. He spins sideways into the wall and falls to the ground, dead before he even hits it.

Shalelu spares a shot at the prone one in the weeds, then fires over Kelda's shoulder.

The awkwardness of the angle is a problem and her sword slides off his shield and bounces off the wall; she barely gets her guard back up in time.

Bernard goes to find a window on the side and hop through it.

Not sure where the windows are on the side where Morgrym is, but he'll just hop through the nearest one.

That side of the house is all under an entangle spell.

Ok, let's retcon that to going up onto the roof again.

Bernard easily leaps up to the edge of the roof, grabs hold with one hand while holding his bow in the other, and uses his momentum to shoulder-roll up onto the rooftop.

No problem for an acrobat like you.

Alara starts racing aroud to the far side of the house. The warriors continue to fight, two hacking at Kelda and two at Kersey. (They must not like K-names.)
