You should be at full, since you got healed 46.
Kersey smiles as Lyraesel awakens, alive. Sorry Bailey, no playmate for you today, the Hawk would have been sad... she probably wouldn't go up there anyway. Maybe back into the woods or the sky.... probably not the water. Definitely not the water.
But you already knew that. Sorry for bothering ya, I know you're busy and got other people to watch over. "Just wanted to chat." Kersey mumbles.
"Okay, seriously, you have crabs that damn big in your front yard you surely have pots sized for them... kindlings gonna be a pain in the ass," he suddenly asks along with a chuckle to Kelda.

Kelda says to Kersey, "Oh yeah, if you get one with a harpoon you usually have to cut it into chunks. Sometimes we just get a claw." The Ulfen woman seems happy, in good spirits, brighter than you've seen her since rescuing her from the Brinewall dungeons.
"But," she says to Bernard, "it's already dead! Kersey here thumped it good. It won't feel anything if we boil it up. Look, it won't stay good if we leave it out a whole day, so let's get this raid on the ship done and then I can talk to a few people and we can have a big crab-bake, eh?" She pulls off her helmet and tosses it in the sand so that she can wipe the sweat from her long flaxen hair. "It'll smell so good, people will come for miles!" She grins at Kersey. "You could make a living as a whaler or a shark-hunter, I bet. But with a sword instead of a harpoon. That's a heck of a thing!"
Shinrin Alara
Alara breathes a sigh of great relief as Lyraesel's life is saved.
"Oh, praise be to Desna--I thought we lost you. And I-I can't believe I couldn't do anything to help!"
Kersey Rofocale
She grins at Kersey. "You could make a living as a whaler or a shark-hunter, I bet. But with a sword instead of a harpoon. That's a heck of a thing!"
Kersey smirks under his helmet and chuckles back. "Thanks. That's not a half bad idea, I'd need a crew though, don't know s+$& about boats. Got any pointers, Miss... Kelda?"
I think that's what someone back at the caravan called her... I think...
Lyraesel
Shalelu frames Lyraesel's face with her sandy hands and says with a laugh, "You almost got eaten by a crab, you silly wolf! That's so absurd. Next time you want to go skinny dipping, tell me first." She winks.
"I will.....in a nice quiet lake or something." Lyraesel responds with a glowing smile as she sits up. "Thanks for the cloak, I should probably get dressed." she says with a hint of a blush.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Kersey, could you see to passing me that wand, as I could probably use it as well.
As for the crab, I hope we cook it for dinner after we get back.
Morgrym sheepishly strips out of his armour in order to roughly dry it and his gear that can be damaged by water.
Once he is redressed in his damp armour, he walks over to the crowd by Lyraseal
That is a first, nearly eaten by a crab.
He then starts tapping himself with the wand.

Lyraesel
Drying herself off, Lyraesel dresses and gets her armor on. Standing beside Shalelu she looks at her companions. ”Before that thing attacked me I was able to commune with the river and see what it sees. A funeral ship, maybe a hundred feet long with a single deck. There is a large pyre on the beach with more warriors that we faced back at Asvig’s farm, many of them drunk, giving speeches and the like.”
Kersey Rofocale
"Their heads are in their drinks and their thoughts to their stories, we probably won't have to deal with them. That's good, too many civilians around." Kersey thinks aloud before turning his attention to the now clothed Druid. "Do you think we can sail unnoticed right up to the funeral ship?"

Way to late to edit, but I will use my pearl of power to recover the Shield of Faith spell

Kelda says, "Most of the warriors will be sotted with drink and won't be looking at the ship until it's ablaze at night. Before? We can probably sneak on - especially if one of you has a spell that can raise a fog. There was fog all morning, nobody would suspect."
Shalelu helps Lyraesel get armored back up and unknots some of the druidess's damp hair, then she wraps her hand around the back of Lyraesel's head and pulls her forward to press their foreheads together. "Please be careful," she says quietly. "There's kind of a shortage of elves around here. Good information, though." She smiles.
Bernard Mason
Bernard does what he usually does when he's pretending to pretend not to eavesdrop: dances a few steps to music only he can hear.
"I hope you'll go somewhere eventually, or else our destination is much closer than I anticipated. Besides, we have a boat to catch!"
Everyone patched up from the unexpected hunting expedition, Bernard takes Kelda off to see about commandeering a canoe or similar small riverboat.
Shinrin Alara
"..."Please be careful, there's kind of a shortage of elves around here."
"Hey, I'm here, aren't I?" Alara speaks up, scratching her head.
"Granted, I was pretty useless in that fight, but still..."
Kersey Rofocale
"You. And the tens of thousands of humans."Shalelu wrote:"..."Please be careful, there's kind of a shortage of elves around here.""Hey, I'm here, aren't I?" Alara speaks up, scratching her head.
"Granted, I was pretty useless in that fight, but still..."
"I don't think any of us were prepared for giant-ass crustacean from Hell, but you also still have most of your stuff for when we most likely have to fight later." Kersey offers.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Morgrym chuckles quietly at the byplay.
I guess that proves why I didn't like those little cockleshells to begin with.
He does choose one, and starts looking it over and stows his gear.
Sorry, I cannot do any fog right now.
He quietly asks for assistance in getting his armour settled on his body.
DM Jesse Heinig
Shalelu says to Alara, "Well, we only just met you, so that hardly counts! Also, shut up!" She looks quite flustered, perhaps blushing a little?
With your close encounter barely saved from a fatality, you ready yourselves for even more watery "fun."
Your guide finishes giving you the basics of kayaking.
I did some kayaking a couple months back. I had never done it before. It took me about half an hour to feel like I could safely paddle around and have a good time, so I presume that for your characters it's similar!
Making your way down the waters, two to a kayak, you slide in undetected as the great ship is pushed out into the river, and the revelers on the beach cheer and whoop as it floats away from them and into oblivion. Or, well, closer to your waiting reach.
Kelda notes, "Odd, they didn't light it before pushing off. Well, someone will shoot it with a flaming arrow or something."
Now! In each kayak, at least one of you must make a successful DC 10 check of: Profession (sailor) if you have it, or a Wisdom check if you don't. (I guess a Wisdom check is the same as an untrained Profession check...) If BOTH fail, your kayak overturns, and you can't right it until you make a DC 15 Strength check, which could cost you valuable time!
I believe the kayak assortment is:
Lyraesel & Shalelu
Bernard & Morgrym
Kelda & Kersey
Alara all by herself because everyone forgets her
Feel free to swap around if you want. It's a... let's say a 'snug' fit.
Morgrym Stonestepper
wis check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 Not sure of the DC for the untrained check
A little wary of the water, all Morgrym seems to do is flail around in the water.
Of course, the RNG seems to hate me. Hope Bernard can keep us upright. :(
DM Jesse Heinig
DC 10!
make a successful DC 10 check of: Profession (sailor) if you have it, or a Wisdom check if you don't.

Missed that.

Smiling slightly at Shalelu's flustered response to their moment being interrupted, Lyraesel squeezes her hand giving her a little smile before they turn back to the matter at hand. "I can make fog when she get close."
Inspired, both by her close brush with death and her proximity to Shalelu, and having spent far more time in the wilderness than most of her companions, the druidess effortlessly handles the canoe after only a few moments.

Oh gods.
Why am I in a boat with Iron Man?: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Bernard manages to keep the kayak steady, to his surprise as much as anyone else.
"I can't believe how difficult it is to pilot a damned boat..." he mutters to himself.
Morgrym Stonestepper
Pilot, I can just hope that I don't capsize us, due to the dice hating me. :(
Flailing around in a bit of a panic, Morgrym finally settles down when Bernard manages to keep the boat on an even keel.
I hate this large amount of water. Why else do you think that us Dwarves prefer land under our feet.
DM Jesse Heinig
The team quietly reaches the longboat from the far side, away from the revelers on the beach.
The deck of the longship has been built up with planks over the old rowing benches, creating a space belowdecks. It appears that the funerary treasures have been placed in this hold, as the deck is empty save for a silent, shrouded form resting atop a bier in front of the mast, surrounded by stacked wood. A leather sack sits atop small pile of sand at the base of the bier, the glow of flame and wisps of smoke escaping from it.
Map updated. Feel free to move onto the deck if you like.
Lyraesel
Nodding, Lyraesel degins to whisper in druidic, summoning up a fog cloud that rolls over the area.
DM Jesse Heinig
Your fog cloud easily obscures the ship.
"Good," says Kelda, "the folks on the beach will just assume it's more natural fog. C'mon, let's get onto the deck!"
Shalelu uses her bow to plant an arrow into the side of the longboat, then helps push Lyraesel up onto the deck. From there, Lyraesel is able to collect ropes from the rest of you so that you can secure your kayaks.
The deck is as described before, with just the shrouded form near the mast and the small pile of sand with the smoking leather sack on it nearby. There is a small trapdoor in the fore of the deck, currently closed.

percep: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Morgrym looks up at Kersey through the fog.
Chains, I don't hear anything, I guess I was to busy.
He then gathers himself and moves up to the bag.
Should we douse this, and then start the fire when we leave ??
Kersey Rofocale
”The incense? Best not to mess with it, if it’s part of the funeral process.” Kersey offers, though he was unsure if it was or not.
Lyraesel
Helping to pull Shalelu up, Lyraesel moves to the trapdoor, drawing her sickle and staying in a low crouch.
DM Jesse Heinig
Bernard makes almost no sound as he moves to the trapdoor.
The leather bag continues to smolder. It seems like it will take a while for it to actually burst into flames.
Nobody responds to your arrival on deck, though.
Sooo what now? Down the trapdoor? Check the body on the bier? Something nutty?
DM Jesse Heinig
The trapdoor opens easily to reveal a four-foot-high hold under the deck. It's stuffed with crates of grave goods, and you can hear the rattling chains from somewhere in back.
No check to drop down into the hold. It's dark, and you have to squeeze to get in there if you aren't Small size.
Lyraesel
Staring into the darkness for a moment, Lyraesel closes her eyes for a brief moment, calling her lupine nature to the surface, the air coming alive as she opens her golden eyes and drops down.

What is up
Morgrym comes walking up, staying near the centre of the boat.
He then watches as both Lyraesel and Kersey drop down.
He looks down, Sighs, waits until there is an opening, and drops down with the group.
Why are we down here, he whispers to Kersey
Morgrym Stonestepper
Slinging his Urgosh across his back, Morgrym drags out his Warhammer.
Not much space, but do you know the way that we should be going?
He whispers back to Kersey.
