Shalelu nods and says, "When we were at Brinewall Castle, it was filled with dire corbies - crow-like humanoids. Their leader was a demon that took the form of a big, dark crow-humanoid like them, and his, um, 'ex' was a mute harpy."

I am not there. :(
GM:
Morgrym grins, and joins in on an Ale, or two for his shopping trip.
If you can direct me to the excentric one, I would appreciate it.
Morgrym tucks the bow back away, and continues to stroll along, looking with unease but wonder at all the activity going on around him.
He then starts looking into purchases of some axes.

Yeah you are. This is after the fact.
Quote:
You reassemble after handling some of your errands, so that you can compare progress. Morgrym's been shopping for weapons, while many other members of the team are checking out leads.
Shalelu frowns slightly and says, "I've no idea what you're talking about."
I'm fine with doing some "backdating" of your explorations of the city, Morgrym; I want the party to be able to reassemble in the evenings for dinner so that they can share information.
Morgrym:
Kerra has a drink with you and then introduces you to Tryggvald, the aforementioned eccentric. His home is a small single-story building with a staircase down to a substantial lower level, and the place is stuffed with unusual mechanical devices: Wind-up birds that chirp, sing, and flap metal wings; automated bellows systems for blacksmiths; self-loading crossbows and spring-loaded toys. As you're taking in the strange sights in his showroom, Kerra rings a bell, which makes a chiming sound heard in the depths. Tryggvald arrives about two minutes later.
Tryggvald is a dwarf as well, white-haired, with bushy eyebrows and a singed white beard. His weathered face is creased and lined. He wears a smock with many pockets and lots of small, intricate tools in it, and has a jeweler's loop attached to a chain that goes into a pocket near his shoulder. In some ways he seems to lie on the boundary between dwarf and gnome.
"Good day, what can I do for you?" he says in a raspy voice. Kerra gestures to you and says, "Good afternoon, master Tryggvald. This fine dwarf is named Morgrym Stonestepper, and he is visiting from the south. He is interested in some of your work, specifically involving bows."
"Is that so!" says Tryggvald, his white eyebrows shooting up. "Well please, come downstairs and we can discuss business. I can show you a few examples of that kind of work. I have some beer and tea-cakes that we can share." He ushers you down the stairs and into his underground workshops, where you can feel the warmth of the coal-burning stove heating the earth and smell the good scent of metalwork. It is a familiar, homey sensation.
"Stonestepper, you say? Auspicious! I knew another Stonestepper, actually. Came through here decades ago. Said he was trying to locate an ancestral cache somewhere north of here, partway between Kalsgard, Turvik, and Ice Spire. Funny coincidence. So, bows you say? I do make some, a little unconventional as I use bent bronze for the stock and a pulley system to get more power. Is that what you're looking for?"

I meant a statue of Pazuzu.
Bernard continues. "I recall some art though. Evil-lookin' fellow, with four wings, a scorpion tail and a bird head. Paintings of that figure were all over the place. There was a statue of Desna that had been altered to look like him too. Any of this helping...?"
Bernard gives Kersey a skeptical look somewhere between a grin and a grimace.

Oops, I missed the assembly part. but if I am there, I will throw my reminder of the bird demon in, I hope :)
know religion:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Bird Demon That Bird demon that we ended up fighting, I am not sure, All I know is that I saw spots. Trying to jog my memory.
As I recall, we destroyed that statue, as it was of one of the evil gods.
gm:
Aye, something like that would work wonders for me.
Morgrym sheepishly pulls his bow off his back.
The reason, would be how difficult it is for me to use a regular composite bow of normal length.
I have been looking everywhere so that I can get a bow that I do not bounce off the ground when shooting.
As Morgrym tests the draw,
Aye, that Stonestepper that went north, was my Uncles Daughters Brother. I was asked to look into seeing where he went if I happened to find myself in this area.
He takes a biscuit and a cup of tea.
That was a sad story all in all, but it boiled down to him looking into lost herlooms.
So how much for this bow, and is there any way of increasing the draw weight ??
"Very," says Shalelu dryly. "So now what? Are we going to go see this Asvig Longthews first, it sounds like?"
Morgrym:
Tryggvald hrrms for a moment, then says, "This is a pricey piece of work, but you seem to be a dwarf of some means."
A composite longbow, mighty 2, masterwork, costs 600 gp.
"The pulleys mean that the tension can be adjusted. If you need to increase the pull you'll need a stronger pulley and reinforcing of the beam, but that can be arranged by a suitably skilled craftsman such as myself."
Kerra says, "That's quite a powerful bow. Are you a good shot?"

"Sounds like the best plan. Maybe find the drunk girl and have her lead us there." Lyraesel answers. "And find out why raiders wearing his armbands attacked us."

At the meeting
Sounds like a good plan.
I know I didn't find much, but I did look around the merchants to see if I could find some weapons.
Does anyone want me to get them anything the next time I am in the market?
GM:
I think I might be able to come up with that Tryggvald, so long as you can come up with a handful of other pulley's and let me know how to do the reinforcement.
I intend to be the one that adjusts it in the long run, as I will not have access to an Engineer such as yourself.
Thinking 100gp per additional +1 mighty adjustments, which is the book price for additional mighty bow increases.
And getting 2 Additional increases to add over time.
Morgrym looks at Kerra, and states modestly Am I a good shot, I don't think I would fall under good shot, but I think I would fall under a decent shot.
After all, I have seen better shots in our caravan.
He grins at her, as he passes the cash over for the bow as it sits.
