Of all my PbPs, I get most excited by a new post in this one. Pirknok's development so far has been /awesome/, primarily because of the fantastic NPC interactions, unique opportunities and experiences, and the masterfully-injected tidbits of development fodder.
I'm definitely having fun.
(Edit: With all that said, if someone ever has an issue with something Pirknok does or says, please say something. I'm not unwilling to figure out how to change something about a character if it causes unhealthy conflict.)

I'm having fun. Most of the games I've ever been in have had LESS character development and it's something I want to learn to do better in the games I run. Being a DM as well, I know how hard it is. I appreciate the effort you're putting in and that you're making the AP your own. Thanks!

I've been very impressed with the quality of role-playing here. If anything, I feel like I'm dragging it down, as I feel like I'm still trying to get a grasp on Jessamy and integrate her into the group. I feel like she's more reacting than acting at this point, though part of that is also me trying to catch up on everything going on in the campaign. Are you guys pleased with her so far, is she being too flip (i.e. the attitude toward dwarves/believe about Ventus' addiction) for your tastes? I'm a little worried she's too cartoony.
I like Jess. She does seem a touch unbelievably naive at times, but then, Pirknok had never seen a book before when he first came to Sandpoint...
Dwarves aren't all that common, and Shoanti dwarves with scary tattoos are even less common, so I can understand her... hesitation? about him. :P
Yeah, I think the naivete worked a little better when she came in as a first-level character and encountered a grippli (which is where it developed from). Having her start at 4th here (almost 5th), I'm not sure it works quite as well. As long as it's not annoying anyone, though.
