Oh yeah! Three dimensional space!
| Emalliandra |
I believe we have a jar of the mucus and one or two water breathing potions.
| Emalliandra |
Yep! It probably doesn't hurt to let Simon check any other doors before we head up. If we see anything that looks too dangerous we can go back, though I think getting these people out of here now may be of greater importance as they may be new mutants by the time we get back.
Simon Hollybaker

We conveniently have 3 oils of water breathing. Might as well leave the mucus for us, since it both has a longer duration and has harsh conditions that would not allow us to move them to safety.
We also have the bottle of air, if needed.

So far, we don't know that Ontooth is actually here in this building.
If it is, I wholeheartedly agree that we will need to regroup. Even I am almost out of magic.
I do have an Invisibility extract (and 2 potions) left. Maybe we can explore the northern room and take a look at the vault door before we leave to camp at least? After we get these three topside, anyways.
| Emalliandra |
I agree as well, we don't know if he's here but is best to be careful and assume that he is while we explore. Finishing up the floor above may well help us figure out how to get to the next chamber down here when we get back to it.
| Emalliandra |
Lol! I thought the same thing!
Simon Hollybaker
|
I was thinking of the ear worms from Wrath of Khan. :D

BTW Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
This has been an absolutely wonderful experience, and I am eternally thankful for being granted the opportunity to experience this with you.
| Victrix Bloodmane |
Happy American Thanksgiving!
And apparently, I was wrong--Onthooth used the Uroboros virus instead of facehuggers.
Simon Hollybaker
|
OMG! I read that wrong at first. I thought the tentacled things were what was crawling around on hands and legs, not the people!
We are never dropping that force field!
Simon Hollybaker
|
Yes, but later.
Meta-game, I imagine this is what we are supposed to use to travel down to the aboleth's domain.
Simon Hollybaker
|
Not sure. Somewhere in the Hollow Forest, I think?
Maybe this actually IS Home, but I didn't think so. We followed the Clockwork Bee here.
| Emalliandra |
Alright, so I made some change ups in my spell list today and left no empty ones. I swapped out acid arrow for spectral hand and filled the empty slot with touch of idiocy. I swapped out spiked pit and filled the empty third lvl slot with dispel magic and lightning bolt, and added enervation for my remaining fourth level slot. I am going to debuff the living hell out of the aboleth wen we find him. Of course watch me have done this and the big bad be something already mindless and undead or something.
Simon Hollybaker

Don't forget to look over the loot list to see if any of those items are useful for you.
In that regard... A Page of Spell Knowledge with Detect Magic? Really? Is there really a spontaneous spellcaster out there who doesn't know Detect Magic?
It could be useful if you were creating a character and knew that you had this item, freeing up a slot for a different cantrip, but otherwise completely useless.
Simon Hollybaker

@GM The Skum Alchemist's formula book contains Deathwatch, but that spell doesn't show up on the Alhemist's spell list.
Is this correct?
Simon Hollybaker
|
Corrected. MUCH more useful!
| Emalliandra |
I will make sure to do that Simon. And I have built sorcerers without detect magic, it depends on my build. The ones I run that are not the brightest or have a different focus I won't take it and their excuse is along the lines of "I don't know anything about magic, I am magic".

As Victrix and Simon already have a means of swimming underwater easily Calamity or I should be using the slipper of the triton, it gives both water breathing and a swim speed. I'd recommend giving those to Calamity as I can pretty easily navigate my own way if I need to move.
We also have an amulet of nat arm +2 one of our front liners should be using.
Simon Hollybaker

Calamity is already using the slippers. (I may not have marked that on the sheet, I'll take a look.)
I am currently using barkskin to give myself +4 natural armor. I *think* Victrix has an amulet of natural armor, but it may only be +1.
The cloak and ring of resistance are big items that anyone without resistance should be using. I considered taking one, but my Prot. vs. Evil is better (for most of the monsters we are encountering)
| Emalliandra |
Already have a cloak and ring +1 but if no one else wants the amulet I'll take it. It might better go to Calamity as well though.
Simon Hollybaker
|
Lesser Restoration??? Not sure...
I think you still have an oil of that.
Simon Hollybaker
|
Orca FTW!!!
Those damage rolls are insane.
Simon Hollybaker
|
I'm anxious to join in the RP, but it will be a couple of hours before I have time to post.
| Victrix Bloodmane |
Y'know, it just occurred to me that I never established what Victrix's aasimar physical features were.
I think I'll go with unusual hue (I mean, she's a redhead whose skin tans properly instead of developing freckles) and sweet taste. Rolled those on a different dice roller.

If Ema doesn't want that headband, I certainly do! The +Dex Ioun Stone as well.
Although, the headband would help Calamity out more, so I'd be glad to give it to her.
(If she is still with us, that is... If she has dropped out, I wonder if Kip is still around and looking to get back in?)
| Emalliandra |
You are welcome to the headband. It hurts me to give it up as a player but Ema simply would not touch the nasty thing.
I used an actual potion this time Simon. Dont worry though, I'll roll with it when I get a post up.
| Emalliandra |
Woot, Lvl10!
I would like to take a bit of down time. I'd certainly like to try and get the stuff for and build my tower. Investigating the clockwork "foundry" we found in the last ruins would be good to. Ema would want to try and get the start of production on some clockwork soldiers to help protect the colony before we get going under the sea.
Also curious to see if the "Colleague from Absolom" has arrived that I mentioned.
Ema reached out to embrace her apprentice for a moment, not saying anything just holing her, before releasing the young woman and stepping back. "I sent a letter to a colleague in Absolom to come join us out here and help kick start a program to create clockwork constructs to help protect the town. He's very brilliant but not very good with people, in fact he doesn't care at all what they think of him." She smiled in amusement, "He's also easily distracted by his work, cantankerous, has a very foul mouth, and I'm entrusting his well being to you." She smiled in amusement, "Oh, and he insults people all the time so when he starts doing it to you don't hold back, give him everything you've got to insult him right back and he'll respect you for it."
Not sure just how long it has been and whether another ship has come in or not so it may not be possible yet anyway. If he has I'll get you a bit of a write up about him tonight/tomorrow.
