I am debating about picking up shadow conjuration, spell focus illusion, and umbral spell for the sheer utility but have not decided yet.

Other Possibilties: Expanded Summons, Summon Good Monster, Superior Summoning, Versatile Summons. Any of those would ditch the Shadow line at this point and change some choices.

Any suggestions?

I am assuming that we won't level up until resting. Is that correct?

I believe before that we did but anything like new spells per day, extra HP, and other limited items did not replenish until we did.

...hmmm, might be worth considering expanded reservoir again. Gods know I \need it with the cost of these summon monster casts.


You can level up now and spend 10 minutes per spell slot to prepare new spells or extracts. Expended resources will not replenish until you rest.

I'll likely either take that or Inspired Alchemy as my feat.

@Ema, I very little input on your feat selection. The summoning feats are probably useful considering how often you summon things, but I am not really familiar with the named feats. Ditto for the other tree you mentioned, as I have never heard of those.

If I did go with Leadership, my initial thought would be to recruit a cleric, ideally a Desnan (like Simon). Someone to focus on protection and buffing spells, freeing Calamity up to focus on debuffing spells.

I shifted my choices a bit on the feats/spells.

Taking:
summon good monster, enervation, black tentacles, and dimensional slide

They fit better witht he build I've been doing and the good monster summoning adds some really nice choices to my options, like a celestial killer whale at summon monster 5.

Good pull, Victrix. You pulled it free, so it is fine for you to keep it, if you plan to use it.

I would definitely use it as my primary weapon, but the bane property would be better in your hands than mine.

Question, if I were to summon a lightning elemental and have it delay it's action to charge when the electricity discharges, would it be able to draw that energy behind it and into the target of the charge?

Ran out of time to get a post up this morning, and missed it yesterday as I wasn't feeling well, so it likely won't be until after work this evening when I can get it done. Sooo, just realized I'm not sure how far the elemental can move. It has a fly speed only so does it move that, a fraction of that?


It will have to make a DC 10 Swim check to move 1/4 its fly speed as a move action.

Mutated humans (they have the mutant template). Their abilities are hard to tell just by looking at them.
