Eventually. We're not going to play out every round of the fall.
Lets assume you hit terminal velocity at roughly 55 meters per second. Let's say you're falling from (very) low atmosphere at about 20 kilometers (which is still much higher than airplanes fly at). It would take about 6 minutes of falling, which would be 60 rounds.

Well, my archetype is in. Hopefully I can give DMing more attention until Round 2, but the instructor for one of my classes would like to disagree. I have a paper to write with a very vague prompt that includes "What do you think?" Fortunately, it's not long at all (3-5 pages) but still aggravating.

An hour and a half later and I still have yet to start the paper.

Urirawa |

I was wondering if Urirawa could do something like sink his Ryyk blade into the surface of the building or spot weld with the Laser welder of the Tool kit something to the roof (if the roof was Durasteel and too tough to jab the Ryyk blade into; another tool from the tool kit or a piece of a glider) to provide the focus for a bit of mechanical advantage.
Urirawa has Climbing of +11 and Mechanics of +8; so, he should know the basics of block and tackle for lifting and mechanical advantage. This should give an equipment bonus to lifting and redirect Urirawa's motion away from the combatants pouring on to the roof.
I'd use a piton gun but I don't think that comes in the took kit.

Sho Larn |

For a bit, I thought I may have thrown you guys a bit more than you can chew.
I was wrong! Sho Larn's a defensive beast! He just absorbed/negated like 60 damage.
And I thought you just didn't like me. ;p
I should have put my Shield back in my powers suite but forgot. Glad Negate worked out as well as it did. First time using it!

Sho Larn |

Remind me not to piss off Urirawa. It would hurt. Bad. ;D
Thoughts on our mission?
I suggest we carrry the gliders. I don't want to have to fight back to the deck for them. Also, the enemy could disable them and then we'd be screwed.
Perhaps Urirawa can slice the computer to see where to go next?
I can heal anyone up who needs it. I am only down 6 right now. How is everyone else?

Urirawa |

Dropping speed by 2 space is a pretty hefty penalty if we have to run.
We have our ship on standby if we need a fast retrieval though we might have to knock out the fire control for the Vigo's building if we want to bring the ship in.
Any trip out is going to likely involve more of the Vigo's guns and Call's glider will need some maintenance work before it flies again.
I'm betting a minimum of five minutes if the ion damage just involves some fuse fixing and resetting but if the motors got really smoked then it would half an hour to an hour to get it air worthy (going by droid repair times).
I don't think we have the time to do the repair that Call's glider needs.
That means jumping while leaving Call behind or we need to think of a different extraction plan.
We also have to consider the Vigo. If we are grabbing him for intel then we have to extract him along with dealing with the canisters. The Vigo doesn't have a grav chute and we didn't bring spares.
----------------------
I'm always impressed by how much damage Urirawa can do. :>

Urirawa |

Yup, the mission is;
1> Find and eliminate Vigo
2> Find and recover the Bio-toxin
If the opportunity comes up to grab the Vigo then I would be pro doing that. He might have more intel that can be useful to higher ups if we can grab and take him with us.
We also have to be prepared in case he chooses to surrender rather than be killed. Urirawa isn't the type of soldier to kill someone outside of combat or who isn't fighting back unless there is no choice.
There is a limit on how 'dark' he is willing to get his hands.

Got it. Point taken. Let's cross that bridge when we get there.
Question is, do we hide the gliders per Raal's suggestion or carry them.
We have 1 vote to carry them and 1 vote for hiding them (Urirawa).
Call, Raal. What say you?

Looking at the map, I was thinking it might be better to move to the room area below us on the map if we can.
Call has set explosives; so, we want to draw them closer. After the explosives go off, Call can then hose them with his gun.
Anything after that should be a mop up for Urirawa and the Kensae.

Sounds good to me. I have very few Force powers left since this is the same encounter.
My thought was to go invisible and sneak up with the thermal detonator.

Isn't a Thermal Detonator light enough that the skill, Use the Force, covers moving it around?
No need for a force power, just hover it in the air or if you make a perception check and spot them carrying any grenades, pull the trigger on their grenades. TK101

Smerg: Regarding your zombie game, I suggest you read the histories of Shuriken's other characters and his posts. He is on my all-time blacklist as a player. Specifically, one of his characters (a 10 year old girl) was designed for sexual exploitation. Some of his writing borders on written child pornography. Just a warning from one DM to another.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, you'll have the chance to take a breather on the lift, so it will be a new encounter.
You guys okay? We seem to be experiencing a slowdown. Is the mission not your cup of tea? The next arc is more Jedi-oriented, so we can put a double-time order on this one or combine it with another planned arc.

This mission is great, as usual. No worries. I have been travelling, going to school, etc.
Such is the nature of the PbP to have lulls.
I think this mission balances the team quite nicely, which I am a big fan of.

It won't be a guarantee to take down the droid in one barrage but we should be in good shape.
Each ion grenade is 4d6. Times 4 would be 16d6 or an average of 16 x 3.5 = 56 or at half if all miss of 28 damage (AoE is nasty when you are on the wrong end of but great when you're dealing it against high Reflex targets).
The worst case should put the machine at around 7 hit points left. Lightsabers and near misses from Call's blaster are more than enough to deal with it at that point.
Even if the model has been modified somewhat, we should still be in pretty good shape.
If not then it will be back to basics. Ryyk blade and lightsabers verses the droid.
Sho is right, we should all go on the same initiative with Raal giving us his leadership boost.
We should move to spread out as our move action and throw or shoot as are standard action.
