When her foot cracked a branch underfoot she closed the distance with Chi right behind her. Before the bandits knew what was happening she was in between the first two. She brought her great blade to bear and slashed the first bandit on her left savagely. As Chi struck she spun her blade in an impossible arc and buried it into the bandit to her right. Hoping they were both down she planned to contend with the last bandit in the next few moments. Hopefully though Mulray would bring him low...

Chi snapped at the bandits calf, hopefully gaining a good grip and tripping the man...

All three fell before her and more would soon join them. No mercy. No regret. She kicked him off her blade and stood there looking lost for a moment as her mind reeled from the neat death she dealt the thug.

The shouts from the west side of camp made her turn to look in that direction, the struggle was coming to a head.

If anyone approaches she gives a growl, low and aggressive as another sought her out to die...

Chi waited, licking the blood off her feline lips and lazily watching the man die, giving a low purr of pleasure as another fell before her master...

Xi reeled in horror as Chi's blood splashed against her stiffened legs. It wasn't until the smell of burned flesh and the thugs horrible words that Xi lost control completely. She wouldn't be caged again! She couldn't lose Chi! She wouldn't lose her too!

With the strength of insane desperation she strained against the magic that held her. Her muscles bulged as hate flooded her being and for a brief moment magical symbols appeared, ringing her muscles, holding her fast. As soon as it appeared it started to strain to hold the mad Ranger and, with a final mad roar, the magic shattered completely in a spray of sparks...

The bandit in front of her nicks her throat and draws blood unknowingly as he blinked from the flash of the broken magic. But in that moment she brought her blade around again with such blurring speed that he never saw or heard her move. He opened his eyes near the end of her two handed swing. Just before she slammed her great blade down with such murderous force that Xi's muscles screamed in agony. Yet she didn't care, she would end the bastards that harmed her only friend...
