Corsario's Kingmaker: The long way home (Inactive)

Since I haven't had an update I will roll out what I have from Corsario.

Diplomacy - Improve Attitude: 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 11 + 2 + 2 = 33

Eventually Danath is able to coax more information out of them with Symon and Janus's help. It's then that you all discover you are far to the west of Pitax. Your currently in the Thousand Breaths forest and Ni'Tir roughly calculates you are close to five hundred miles from Restov. The mother and son are people of note from Pitax as well, ever so grateful to have avoided this close brush with the fey and most likely death...

Will leave it at that for now. I believe now we advance Characters to Lvl 8 Myth 2 and Cohorts to lvl 6/Myth 1. We will also begin Kingdom building, posting some ideas in the ooc thread to get things started.

I have no new information about the other two threads so for now we are on hold. Thank you, lets have fun and have some great holidays! :D

The woman thank you profusely for saving her and his son.
"Who are you, my saviors?"
The Barons are now Level 8 / Mythic Tier 1, and the Cohorts Level 6.
How do you want to reach Sloboda? On Foot? Look for horses? Go over to Pitax? Over the river?

Szymon replies, "Szymon, ma'am. Who did we save, and where are we?" He cleans his sword and sheathes it.

"Venetia Medvyed, of the house of Medvyed." Venetia adds, though her heart clearly isn't in it, seemingly still shaken up a bit by the party's loss.

Still shaken with her brush with defeat Ni'Tir nods to the woman and her son. "Ni'Tir."

Danath approaches the woman and her son, checks them for injuries while ignoring his own. "Danath of the house of Orvolsky, Son to Baron Poul Orvolsky ma'am."

She stands as tall as she can, and looks at your eyes. Her son, at her side, also stands proudly, following her example.
"I shouldn't be telling you this, but you have saved our lives and you deserve the truth. Also I think I can trust you, and your honor. I am Sovella Artume, rightful queen of Artume, and this is the prince Edryd Artume, heir to my throne."

Szymon is nonplussed with the day that he's had, "Where's Artume?"

The "Queen" answers:
"The kingdom of Artume lies along the western fork of the Sellen River within a day’s ride of Daggermark, Gralton, and Sevenarches, and 3 or 4 days ride Southwest from here."

Arv bows. "Thank the gods we arrived in time. Are there others from Artume here? Does your majesty imply that there is someone unqualified currently on the throne in Artume?"

The woman face gets a sad grimace.
"Sir Bransen Waike, and old templar, was selected by my husband, the late King Drellis Artume, my husband, as regent while Edryd come of age. But he has allied himself with some "Queen of the Green" and betrayed us. We escaped, but the "Queen's" minions are after us, trying to murder us. But on our kingdom he has usurped the throne. And no, we are alone, and unprotected. We would have died if not because of you."

"Well, ma'am, you're welcome to accompany us. We're returning to near Restov," Szymon offers.

Addressing the rest of the group, "Anyone got a direction for us to head next? Do we need to explore those ruins over there first? The scenery around here is fine, but I would like to get home soon."

"Yes please Your Majesty, I assume returning to the throne will not come easily with your return to Artume. We would be honored to travel at your side in the meantime, and you will find no better tutors on benevolent and forthright leadership for your son than among our entourage."

Arv responds to Szymon regarding the ruins. "I am hoping a cursory look will suffice. I too am anxious to return with haste."

As you had seen before the ruins are from the House at the Edge of Forever, Nyrissa's home in Thousand Breaths, in the First World.

Knowledge Nobility: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32 Outside of the River Kingdoms, does this Sovella Artume have any other ties to nobility?

"Sovella Artume, I'm sure you are well aware of what you are describing is quite a common occurrence in the River Kingdoms, if your kingdom was ursurped, and you have no where else to go, you are welcome to accompany us."

Ni trying to recall the map they had seen of the River Kingdoms hoping to take what information she heard and use it to get some type of bearing as to where they were now...

At least a rough direction they needed to take. She even goes as far to transform into a pteranadon so that she can fly far above the group and get her bearings...

While the others talk, Janus looks rather longingly at the ruins of Nyrissa's madhouse. As such, the Haunted Oracle is silent as the rest of his group talks to Queen Artume. He is still very confused about everything that just happened, and part of him wanted to write the entire experience off as a bad dream. However, the lack of over half the Barons was evidence enough, and he at least had an inkling of where his mother might be.

Moreover, he would not forget Marius' betrayal. He wished Eidolons were more portable. Destroyerman would have been great to have along in that battle.

Noelle constantly poking his cheek bring him back to reality. After the Faerie Dragon brings him up to speed, Janus nods and says his piece.

"I concur. We would be delighted for you to accompany us. As I might mentioned earlier, I am Janus Sevenstar, Priest of Erastil. I can heal any injuries you might have."

Noelle pipes up, "Did Queen of the Green send that giant black dragon and redcap army after you? That was overkill."

Janus taps a finger on his familiar's tiny head and chides, "Noelle! Show some respect!"

Not anymore... his late husband, Lord Drellis Artume, was an Andorean nobleman displaced by the People's Revolt of his homeland.

Janus still hear his mother voice... "Save me...", and Marius hate after their battle.

"With all due respect your majesty, why would she go to such extremes, after all the biggest law in the River Kingdoms has always been 'you have what you hold' and judging from what I see here, yourself and your son no longer hold much of anything, let alone the ruler-ship of Artume. How long has it been since you have seen your kingdom? I fear it may have already shifted hands by now."

The child stands before her mother.
"I am Edryd Artume, heir of the Kingdom of my father. I will reclaim my throne someday."
Sovella Artume tries to calm him.
"I have to say I don't understand it either. But we are in danger. We will accept, and thank, your protection."
Edryd then continues.
"And when I get my kingdom back I will repay you in full!"

Ni'Tir lands and informs the others of where they are.

Looking at the child seriously, Venetia speaks once more, "It's a promise then, our services are not cheap Edryd Artume." She holds out her hand to shake on the deal with the child. "I trust you understand the importance of such a promise."

Danath smiles at the conversation as he watches Venetia as she appears to be sealing a treaty before his eyes. He whispers to the Queen. "Your son has a way to go but if he holds firm to his resolve he will succeed. It may take some time but I promise you if we can aid you we will. It would help if you'd be willing to agree to a treaty with us that would only be in effect once you've regained your Son's throne."

Janus nods at the Queen's request and turns his attention to Edryd Artume.

"I am going to use some positive energy as a general panacea. It covers the bases in terms of injuries."

Channel: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 6) = 21

Janus pauses at the sheer strength of the Channel.

"Huh. That one was rather strong," he remarks with mild surprise.

As though suddenly rising from a stupor, Kiri looks about the other Barons. Suddenly realizing that the woman and child are before her, and also realizing how draining all the magic she had used was, she lets out a long exhausted sigh.

She then walks over to the woman and curtsies.
I am Kiritta.

She then moves her hand across the gathered group.
And these gentlemen and ladies are the Barons of Slobada. You may not be familiar with Slobada, but it is a nation which will soon encompass the land frequently called the Stolen Lands.

And, as far as your Green Queen is considered, I believe we may have a common enemy, and a common threat.

Knowledge(nobility): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Knowledge(nature): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31
Knowledge(geography): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

Does Kiri know anything about the Green Queen? (I assume it is the fey queen we just escaped from.) Anything about where they are? Or anything about the nobility of the woman and her son?

As Kiri stops talking, her diminutive companion suddenly flies to her and settles on her shoulder.

Xritha looks at the boy and then flies down before him.

Xritha then whispers in the boys ear:
Watch this.

The tiny flying woman speaks some arcane words and then a moment later she has a tiny lyre in her hands. She begins to strum it and sing, except rather than the sound coming from her, it appears to be from Arv, with a high pitched girlish voice.

After playing the song, which seems to involve drinking too much and bodily functions, with several girlish giggles thrown in, she once more whispers to the boy:
Its even more fun in a throne room or a judge's chamber.

Edryd seems enchanted with Xritha, and overwhelmed with Venetia's charm and presence (and other attributes :P )
Her mother, on the other hand, seems to like Danath syle, and Janus abilities, and tries to keep near both of them.
Sovella Artume talks at length with Kiritta and the rest of you, and you all are very convinced "The Green Queen" is in fact Nyrissa.
So... where (and how) to?

I think we should quickly search the ruins to see if anything of value remains. Then we need to make for Slobada as fast as possible. I have some magic which might speed things up, but it is going to take days at best. And I do not know what dangers may lie between us and home, but if that dragon is any indication, they will not be simple.

Ni'Tir transforms again after Janus heals her. Turning into the huge dinosaur like before. Her voice rumbles as she speaks from her now massive and toothy maw. "I can carry a few of us as well, I don't know if it will speed dis up but it will cut down the number Kiritta needs ta cover in magick"

Danath looks at Ni'Tir's huge dinosaur form and shakes his head before looking to Kiritta and nodding. "Agreed, we can make a quick search and back towards Fort Serenko in Southern Brevoy. It would be an excellent place to start our search for everyone and borders alongside the Stolen Lands." He had been carefully considering idea's and strategizing on where their companions could be by now. They had been gone awhile and if there was any news it would be at Fort Serenko. He turns to the Queen and her son, waving his hand towards Ni'Tir. "I think it would be best to ride on her back for now. Hopefully it will be safer but as she said, we have no idea what lies ahead of us. Excuse me for now Lady Artume." He nods to Arv and begins making his way over to the ruins to start searching.

He would suggest the Levington's but I don't remember if the Barons saw the same map as the Kingless Did?

Perception Take 10 + 10 = 20:

Yes, they did, but the Fort is not so far, and is not a bad stopping point. But it's your call.

I can cast Mount as many times as we need. I have 6 first level slots, and can use second level slots if necessary.

I will need to rest before casting any of these as they are not my normal spells.

Now that some of his fellow barons appear interested in entertaining 'queens' and boys, Szymon bows out of the conversations and starts walking to the ruins. It would be worth his time for a quick search of the house if it yields in clues about the recent weirdness.

Seeing some of the men heading toward the ruins, Kiri heads there with them.

You are going to need someone to determine whether anything we find is of value.

This form is free for Ni'Tir to use, selected it with my Mythic Power. So I can use it unlimited times a day as I understand it but mount would be a very useful spell. :)
