[Closed]1 v 1 Pathfinder tournament

Game Master caster4life

Kill your opponent and advance. Determine which build is the strongest in pvp.

Build Details:

Builds will be level 10 with standard wealth (62,000 gp). All officially sourced material that can be found online is allowed. Crafting and other reasonable prep ahead of time is allowed.

15-point buy for stats.

Multiclassing is allowed. Qualified prestige classing is allowed.

Hit points are full at first level then hit die/2 + 1 at each subsequent level. This means 4 for wizard, 5 for cleric, 6 for fighter, 7 for barbarian. Bonus hit points from favored class bonuses, constitution modifier, toughness feat, etc of course apply.

You get 2 traits, no drawbacks.

No variant multiclassing, mythic, gestalt, or templates.

PC races only. Max RP 20.

Alignment must fit the rest of your build. Necromancers with an undead minion will almost always count as evil.

Unchained classes are allowed. No skill unlocks.

Arena Details:

Battles will occur in a 100 ft by 100 ft arena with a 50 ft by 50 ft square wall in the center to prevent competitors from having immediate line of sight and line of effect to each other. The arena is 50 ft tall and the walls are 3 ft thick hewn stone. You may attempt to destroy walls if you wish but leaving the 100 ft by 100 ft by 50 ft arena counts as a forfeit. Forcing your opponent to leave the arena also counts as a forfeit.

The arena is lit with normal light level. The lighting is provided by permancied light cantrips all around the arena. The arena is a dungeon and therefore counts as underground for terrain purposes.

Tourney Arena

How the tourney will run:

The winner is whoever kills their opponent first. The winner advances to the next round. The finals will be played best 2 out of 3. Games will be played by pm to maintain secrecy and results will be published afterwards for the enjoyment of all.

You may prepare spells and cast long-duration buffs before the battle. You will then be knocked out before entering the arena and wake up in the arena as you roll initiative. This means that you can only pre-proc spells, etc with a duration of 1 hour or more.

Your build will be entirely reset between rounds. That means no looting the opponent but consumables expended during the fight will also be returned to you. Your hp will be reset to full, curses acquired during the fight removed, etc.

Unfortunately, the message boards don't support dice rolling so I will be making all the rolls. I will tell you when it is your turn. You declare your actions, I make the rolls and let you know the detectable results your character would see. I'll keep a record of what the rolls were in the battle log if you want to know after the battle but I think it's helpful if a player doesn't know if their perception check was a nat 1 or a nat 20. This will reduce meta-gaming, which is hard not to participate in when the goal is winning more than RP. To save time, you may post what your character will do with the remainder of their turn should an action or series of actions succeed or fail in a way your character would be able to detect.

E.g. "I attempt to jump over the conjured pit. Should I succeed, I attack the wizard with my earthbreaker. Should I fail, I attempt to climb out of the pit."

Banned Elements:

No blood money spell.
No leadership feat.
You may only have/use/bring with you one minion prior to entering the arena. Be that a bound creature, an animated undead, a familiar, an animal companion, a simulacrum, or an eidolon. Once your round has started in the arena, you may summon/bind/animate, etc to your heart's content. Hiring a caster to permanency a spell on you does not mean they count as a minion. They're basically a shopkeeper in that case.

If your minion is a simulacrum, bound creature, etc its total HD must be equal to or less than 10.

No synthesist summoner.
