"Nay,"Isaac replies, "We come seeking aid of the 'Halanidrim' as you call them. We have come under a powerful curse of the elven gods after a... misadventure. It was told to us that they would have the means of ridding us of this affliction; we hope only that the price isn't too dear. What we hold is the burden we must bear until we obtain the powerful magics to be rid of it."

Justin arcs a disbelieving eyebrow, then barks a short laugh.
"No. We're not servants, just new found friends who don't. like. bullies." He says with a smirk in elvish, then turns to glance at Isaac.
"Hm. 'Trading Info' usually doesn't work out much better than parley, but at least they're willing to give it a try now. What do you think?" He asks in common, glancing at both Isaac and Karrin. He also glances briefly at Nari, a speculative look on his face.

Quietly in common, Isaac says to Justin:
"We try to string them along, then we try teh give 'em the laugh. Hopefully we leave them without a sodding clue o' what we're really here for. Comes down to a dust-up, we can always put 'em down but I get the feeling we'll get to the temple and they'll say,"Thanks for the Seed, but first we need yeh teh solve all our Ice Spider problems 'fore we can give up that magic thing ye need." And I'm not inclined to dive into a plane-wide war without namin' a price first. Let's just see where this goes, I reckon."

The woman calls back.
"Who are we to stand in the way of relieving a curse? What is it that curses you? My master is powerful as well, and no friend of the Seldarine or the Whore of Arvandor. Perhaps we can work out a mutually advantageous deal?"

The woman calls back
"You stand with our sworn enemies. That is not bullying, that is war. If you have found friendship with the Halanidrim this quickly, then your allegiance is quickly given indeed."

"It is a curse of memory.", Isaac calls back, "Each night after we have rested we can recall less of our pasts- slowly it will consume our minds until we are cast adrift, forever devoid of identity. I was assured that only a powerful priestess of the Seldarine could lift it- who is your master, what can you tell us of him?"
Do I need to make another bluff check?

I'll let it ride
The woman shouts back
"My mistress is the Winter Queen, Morgadril, most favored of the Demon Queen of Spiders. I am Helegungol, but most call me Hel. I am of the Morkarthau, who rule this world, save for this small realm."
The woman pauses and resumes
"My mistress is a powerful priestess, imbued with the very divine spark of the Queen of Spiders. If anyone will be able to lift your curse it will be her, not some pallid strumpet cowering in her brothel temple."
The party notes the pale complexions of the elves they stand next to flushing at these words

Justin nods at both Isaac's and Karrin's whispered words.
"It is a curse of memory.", Isaac calls back,...
"Nice one." Justin murmurs in common, barely moving his lips.
He notes the reaction of the group of elves they are with to the wolf-rider's words. He speaks in elvish, just loud enough for the sharp ears of their escort to hear him.
"Wow. Insults already. And you guys haven't said anything yet. You must really have ticked them off. I like you lot better already." He murmurs, hoping to keep the mood of the elves mellow enough that they won't do anything stupid. At least not until the Rose group does.
He calls out loud in elvish to the wolf-riders; "Ah. I see. No offense my lady, but we were given this information by someone that we still retain enough memory of to know we can trust. By your own words you are at war with these folk, and therefore anything that you say about them, we must understandably take with a spoonful of skepticism. Our most sincere apologies, but you surely understand, we are most eager to be rid of this curse before it can inflict further damage."

The woman replies
"As you say, we are at war with these Hanalindrim. Thus, if you stand with them, I will assume that we are also at war with you. The friend of my enemy is also my enemy and all that. So, if we can't come to a mutually-beneficial compromise?"
The nine worg-riding Svartafardrim ready their lances

Ekuur speaks loudly. "These dark elves do not wish to talk, they wish to destroy us. I believe they only talk to try and get into a position more for their advantage."
Can I ready an action to cast fireball the second they make a hostile move?
Merle nods at Ekuur's words
If possible would like to ready an action to use a scroll. if they try anything hostile
| Justin Case |
Justin nods slightly to acknowledge Ekuur's whisper, then shrugs.
"Sorry my lady. I wish we had the luxury to discuss the possibilities further. I'm always interested in a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge. And your benefactor sounds to be a most interesting source of information."
Justin casually pulls back the sides of his coat, revealing his own sword and dagger, and the wands tucked into the belt next to each.
"But you heard the man. We're on a bit of a schedule. So, if you don't mind, stand aside or get fried! Please." He adds smiling, flexing his fingers as if preparing for a quick draw.

OK, here we go .....
Six of the dark elven knights and their worgish mounts begin a charge down the road, red lances couched at the ready. Three stay behind, unslinging wicked-looking red bows. Lady Hel points what looks to be a large icicle at the party. Suddenly, a frigid gust of wind hits them. A swirling roil of cloud appears above them, raining down massive clumps of hail.
Lady Hel has cast a >Ice Storm<. Everyone in the radius (on new map-white swirl takes 3d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 5) + (3, 5) = 22 damage, no saving throw. Everyone is in the effect AFAICT.
OK, Issac's go ..

Merle lets out a cry of pain as the Ice storm hits her but it is nothing compared to the animal shriek Seph gives out as the blast virtualy shreds him* Seeing her brother's batterd cat like form trying to pull itself free from the ice something inside Merle snaps ignoring the scroll she was origonally going to use she draws a diffrent one

Where is Eekuur casting his fireball at? The near group or the far one? If he takes the closer, I'll take the farthest as my greater CL gives me greater range as well. :)
My coat gem absorbs 1 pt of dmg (or is it one point from each type of damage?) leaving me with a whopping 11 HP! (I'm still better off than poor Seph!) ;P After I cast my Fireball, I'll move to U10 looking for tree cover as well.
Justin holds his arm up, his glowing shield of force from his ring trying to shield him from the deadly hail, and not doing a great job so far. He does manage to keep his brains from being bashed in by the giant iceballs, but the rest of him looks and feels like he's been pummeled by a giant that he owed money too. Lots of money. He knows the feeling because he's been there before. Sigil's creditors don't fool around.
"Not bad lady." He coughs as he wipes blood from his eyes with one tattered coat sleeve.
"Now try mine!" He shouts, and sends a small, innocuous looking flame speeding from his finger to fly at the far group. And go boom,...
Fireball at P30, that should catch everyone back there in the radius. After that opening barrage, I'm also using my ring of mystic fire (all 3 charges) to add 4d6 damage to the fireball. So damage is 10d6+4d6 :)
10d6 + 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 4, 5, 4, 1, 1, 3, 1) + (6, 3, 2, 3) = 42

Justin I need a caster's check on that fireball. I am assuming Ekuur is cool with hitting the advancing Svartalfdrim
Justin gestures and there is a blast of fire from the back of melee where Lady Hel sits astride her nightmare. he smell of buring pork and hair scents the area.
Jena gestures and a pit opens up in front of one of the wolf-riding knights. He falls into it with a howl from his mount.
Ekuur's blast hits the riders, and two tumble down with their mounts. The others ride on, but their armor looks almost as if it has ...melted somehow.
The cloud continues to vomit down a pelting sleet, but the damaging hail is now just a thick morass of icy goo making everything slick Difficult terrain in spell effect

Not sure if it was missed or not but Merle moved towards T14 snd Seph headed for tree cover so about T4
| Karrin Kind |
Karrin casts swift fly and lands in the squares 15-16 PQ, then she makes tries to chop down the lead wolf and rider:
(attacking the wolf first)1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
3d6 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2) + 13 + (3) = 25
(if the first attack hits she attempts to cleave into the rider)1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24
3d6 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5) + 13 + (5) = 30
If the other two riders don't have lances, or if they try to attack with their wolves Karrin will take an AoO when they move into attack:
(attacking a wolf either way) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
3d6 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5) + 13 + (4) = 27
