I have a player who is creating a character as we speak, should be up and able to play by tomorrow. But I have no problem running an extra npc, to give the party some extra muscle.
Truth be told, Mel is growing on me as a character.

but I'd need more then a height of 5 foot 3, and orient heritage.
i.e build, hair style, hair color, eye color, clothing style just to name the basics.

Ayla thanks for the offer. Sho is 5'3', 160 lbs, tanned skin, black hair, violet eyes. He is fairly slim with more athletic muscles than bodybuilder muscles.

In combat he wears O-yoroi armor (samurai plate) that is fairly simple in design, no real embellishments to speak of. He has a red cloak and carries a naginata to war.

The body and hair is doable, though the armour and cloak are not possible, since I don't have that pre-made content for Daz.
In fact O-yoroi is not in their library at Genesis or newer quality.
Though they go have a few other oriental armours at that quality or better, I'll need to check my library to see if I have any.

notes. The wood you are in entends north and west to the edge of the map. the wood near the enemy is not there, though the rock is. The bridges do not exist, neither does the other bank (the sellen river is quite wide)

have a look at this. This is the kickstarter page for 7th sea, a game I really liked in its day. Well they are putting out a 2nd edition, and wow, look at the response.

Alright. Anody is going to make a suggestion but he really leaves all the tactical talk to the actual fighters. Plus I think this is the first time we've actually got a decision to make and I'm guessing that Sharae, Ayla, and Sho would want to try and help the fort.

Sho is quite disappointed in the uncaring attitude of the captain. Not to mention if the boat and the crusaders joined forces the pirates would be unlikely to win.

Unfortunately while Sho is a fighter, he is a dex-based fighter with only 13 Str, he may not be the best to release the ship, but he would be the best to lead the defence afterwards.

You can assume that you are all talking to each other.
Information for you
the captain is neutralish in alignment, and is focused on his survival, his crew, his ship and his profit line. Why should he want more than escape from this situation. The crusaders are warriors, so this is their issue.
further more, sho, he has around 7 crew left, out of 12. None of whom are dedicated warriors. He will not charge the barriade, not without large incentive. He has enough to crew the ship, little more. He could be persuaded to give missile support for you to attack.
It is up to this party to win here, not the npc's. Roleplay and diplomacy will determine how much the captain will help.
criek, the captain is not against ratfolk in specific, just short people.

Sho understands all this, he just doesn't understand why someone would not want to win glory and honor. He doesn't think the captain or his men are cowards, just different.

Besides, Sho is more than willing to put himself in harms way rather than risk someone that does not wish to fight.

Kickstarter for Legendary Games' "Trail of the Apprentice"

Something for Pathfinder parents - an age appropriate 'Adventure Path' with some simplified rules as well... I've got my eight year old who is an avid reader and loves playing games, but things like Carrion Hill and From Shore to Sea probably aren't so appropriate... I am hoping this is going to be a great entry point. I've backed and it's already funded so now it's really just a case of what else gets added to it...
