I'll be taking another level in Warpriest.

As for your window jumping. You could take a hybrid class like Slayer, which is rogue-ranger combo.

As far as I can tell, Valia, the lack of rogue levels isn't keeping you out of windows so far. :)

2nd level alchemist hit points: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

To the peanut gallery, any input on Discovery choice, between Freezing Bombs (cold damage + stagger target) or Smoke Bombs (fog cloud, leading to cloudkill bombs later...)

Holy Bombs are another option, but I think you need to be higher level for that.
They would not do any damage to Good-aligned people (like party members) and or creatures.

If we want to coordinate our skill increases then really Anody has a lot of stuff covered. Completely hopeless at Disable Device though.

Will update my profile once I get a chance to level in HL. I'll most likely stick with ranger for this character. Originally, I did want to roll Slayer, but just couldn't find a build that I liked. And I think for the most part I should have Disable Device covered.

EDIT: Profile has been updated. Skill ranks went into Disable Device, Perception, Kn Nature, Survival, Spellcraft, Stealth.

Chose the archery combat style and Rapid Shot as my bonus feat.

I think for rangers it's still better to take the archery line no matter what just because the archery feats are more expensive to take otherwise, it frees up the regular feats for two handed feats which are very low in number anyway.

Source: Read up a bunch on rangers when I built one for a Rise of the Runlords that didn't get picked :).

Cool, Aid Another's are always good but I'll focus on face/knowledge from my end. I think all three of us are probably going to be taking Technologist to have our skills be applicable to the weirdness that we'll probably see when we get deeper into the AP.

Yep, going the switch-hitter ranger route, as it seemed like a mechanically sound build. I appreciate that it alleviates some of the feat issues so I didn't feel pigeonholed into human.

chill, can you clarify: we've got enough xp to level, but unless/until we rest, we are still level 1s? Or did you mean for the summary/montage of clearing the gremlins lair to include the level-up point?

You are level one until you have had a nights rest. If you continue without resting (sleeping, shut eye and so on) you do so as first level characters. You may also wish to purchase gear. Report back. Many different things. Also you have a time limit based on the water breathing spell. There seems to be no other way in or out of the caves.

Four hours each is the duration of the spell. You have been in the caverns about two hours, although your characters are not certain.

On future days, if you could persuade the casting cleric to memorize the spell twice. That would allow two trips a day, returning once to renew.

The silver discs are valuable, so you could sell them for more income. Also news about the dead bodies (and their recovery) will gain rewards.

A silver disc is a battery. If charged its circuitry glows, other wise it is blank.
If charged a silver disc is worth 100gp, if not 10 gp. To know this you either have to have the technologist feat, and make a DC 15 appraise check, or have been told about them by someone
You have 49, none of which are glowing.

Actually, pretty good time to ask. Not sure if Ardash is hiding the fact that he's an Android but he's never brought it up so I'm playing it like Anody is blithely unaware and thinks Ardash is just an odd looking and acting human. Meeting an Android would be a Very Big Deal for Anody.

Yeah, I think we've briefly touched upon the issue earlier. The way I see it, he is an android, but to him that is normal, so he's not prancing around with a big sign on his back. So if someone were to ask him, he would tell them, but he's not going to go out of his way to make it known to all.

It would be like if Anody showed up and starting yelling at the top of his lungs, "Hey look everyone, I'm a gnome!" That would just be silly.

The issue will be made plain the first time Ardash uses his nanite surge ability and his tattoos glow like a torch. :)
