I'll add this note to Campaign Info, but it'll also be posted here for clarity: you guys have the option of starting your Mercenary Guild in Arenstone (my original plan), or, you guys can work out some other location for your Mercenary Guild (Netherwell would probably be the only other area I can think of as being reasonable, but outside of Zelnite and Arcadia, anywhere will work really).
Or, we can look for an alternate method of starting you guys off. Go ahead and discuss! I'll look to have the opening post made on Saturday at latest.

End game? I guess, I am unfamiliar with what is coming up if your talking end game. I already know barbarian's can be something quite frightful in combat. I'm just an interpreter. I talk to people. I don't fight, unless I have to.
Arenstone sounds good. Shadow is old enough to realize she is dhamphir but she probably hides it.
He's talking about what he wants his character to become by the time he hits level 20. I personally, would settle for making a staff imbued with a 9th lvl spell from each school.
Exiled Zelnite is the background I'm thinking of for Piroska. Arenstone sounds like a suitable starting place in my book.

Besties could be an interesting dynamic. If you guys want, go for it. I'm updating more on the lore and creating the opening setting.
Aside from what you have purchased, any remaining gold you guys have left over from character gen is / will be your Guild's initial funding for purchasing whatever enhancements you want for the location, as the leftovers will be pooled and form initial funding.
The starting guild will be otherwise abandoned and unused Guard Barracks, so there will be the basics needed for you guys. General essentials such as food and stuff, will be assumed covered under generic cost of living, and so don't worry about it at all.
Keep in mind, you can request upgrades for the building if you guys want through contacting the local authorities. You'll also be in charge of recruiting NPCs ala Pokemon Mystery Dungeon or Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, to round out your Guild's roster, or send on missions you guys cannot tackle or refuse to for whatever reason; yes, if you want, you can recruit some NPCs as you find them (all up to you).
Just wanted to clarify these small tidbits before adding them to Campaign Info, so there is no surprise. First post for Gameplay will likely be on Saturday at latest, so you still have some time for discussion. I'll also message the others interested who haven't posted if they haven't said they're in by Saturday.

Here's a thought... what's the general opinion on the Necromancy school of magic in a city where undead (apparently) live? In most of the books I've read it's almost universally reviled and outlawed. If I start studying Necromantic spells, am I gonna have priests and knights trying to bash and whack me?
In Arcadia, Feyfaire, and Zelnite, Necromancy is outlawed (with one small exception in Zelnite).
In Netherwell, it is feared highly by the non-living citizens, but is allowed otherwise.
Arenstone and Craterwall have no opinion on it whatsoever, leaving it to the individual to decide if they like it or not (don't expect the guards to help you if you don't, however).

Oh by the way, I think i forgot to ask. Korvek is using breastplate for his armor, I was wondering if you would allow me to change the appearances of it for the sake of flavor? That is, rather than his torso covered by plate I'd like to have him covered from the waist down.
Thematically it's exactly what I'm aiming for. Theoretically it's reasonable as well. Still only covering half of him, and leaving his top half bare gives him lots of mobility for duck'n'weave. :D

I'll treat it as the roll for where Shadow asks about the friend and whether they're a historian or not, so your result will stand. I did specify a 24 or better was needed for you, and 28 exceeds that amount.
As far as Breastplates for Korvek go, go ahead. As long as it's mechanically equivalent, you could have it be made of pink rubber and red stripes.
I personally prefer excess flavor to strict adherence myself.
Speaking of spare change, since it was stated that the guild's starting cash is equal too what was leftover from character creation, my input is 177 gold.

I think it is easy to hand wave us getting supplies and getting ready for the trip.
I'm totally fine with glossing over the thrills of shopping.
