For distribution later:
potion of nondetection, a potion of gaseous form, a rope of climbing, a wand of air walk (7 charges), a hammer, a score of iron spikes, two blocks and tackle, and four 50-foot ropes.
Crasius Leone
Where is a greatsword when you need one.
Crasius does not need any of those items. He can help carrying some items, but I am not sure its worth bringing the two blocks and tackle.

The block & tackle might be useful if we were trying to mundanely get back down the cliff face, but we probably won't. I think we have a bag of holding or two, so we can still grab things just in case there's a puzzle where they're useful
Ingrit
Plus, with the Hefty Brute feat, Wapiti's carrying capacity is ridiculous (Heavy Load: 3,120 ) so carrying stuff in saddlebags etc. won't be all that difficult.
Clebsch RoW
When you are finished with the conversation with Jadrenka, the first stop on the Artrosa railroad will be Caigreal. From there, you'll need to explore. The rat familiar of Jadrenka will get you past some encounters that don't contribute to finding the interlopers with the centaur follower of Kostchtchie or the hag coven members. Other rooms have traps that are pretty easy to avoid.
Hadda Sogard
Are we level 8 now or do we need to rest first? We have expended quite a few resources, so it might be useful to recover spell slots and such if there is a safe place to recover.
Clebsch RoW
Level up and assume you have a place to rest and recover. Best place would probably be the first room you entered, with the ettin witch. She'll (they'll?) keep watch. Then decide where you want to go next. The first place to look for the head hag would be a room off Seke's garden room, which I'll uncover and mark on the map.

I mentioned this previously, but Hadda is officially in retraining mode to swap out Magic Trick (Mage Hand), Lingering Performance, and Disconcerting Knowledge for Point-Blank Shot, Precise Shot, and Rapid Shot. Just a bit of fireside RP to launch that. GM, please let me know when the retraining can be considered complete, whether it's all at once or feat by feat.
Each feat takes 5 days of training 8 hours per day. Per the rules, this cannot be done while adventuring or other strenuous activities. So it will probably have to wait until this book is finished and there is some down time.
Hadda Sogard
Well shoot. I was hoping for some on-the-job training. Well, she'll do her best. I'll use my existing chassis as best as I can. The old cold iron dagger might come out more often, whenever we run into things with DR/cold iron.

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving.
Yes! Happy thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Clebsch RoW
I'll post something as soon as I can. I didn't sleep well in the early part of last night, so I slept in and am now out of time for posting. Will get it rolling soon.
Seke
Thanks! Take good care of yourself!!
Clebsch RoW
I'm at the end of the term, which means grading and prep for next term takes precedence for a bit. Will post soon.
Seke
Thanks a lot! Happy holidays to all of you!!

Happy Holidays, everyone. I'm going to be doing holiday stuff on Saturday and Sunday but will get some time to post both days. Then I'm on vacation from work until Jan. 4. Should be able to post daily for a while.
Crasius Leone
Hello, I will be on vacation from now through Jan 8th. I will have access to the internet, but I am not sure how much I will be able to post. Bot me as needed. Happy New Years!
Clebsch RoW
Thanks. I hope everyone else had a good weekend holiday.
This week, I'm back to working M, W, and F, so most of my posts those days will either be early in the day or the evening.
Domitian Olavsgaard
Hadda has been out of pocket in a lot of games, I would recommend botting her for now.
Clebsch RoW
There is an opening in another Starfinder Society PBP game just starting. It is the The First Mandate. The GM is therealthom. The campaign name is Opening the Scoured Stars Chapter 1. The plan is to go through a series of the early Scoured Stars modules. Most PCs at present are 3rd level, I think.
Hadda Sogard
Hi all. I want to apologize for my extended absence. First things first, I fully intend to keep up with the campaign if you’ll still have me. Second, I’ll offer an explanation. (Posting this to all of my currently active campaigns).
I wish I could say that there was one big thing, but instead it was a lot of small to medium things. Physical and mental health problems, almost 20% of my waking hours spent traveling in the last month and a half, some work-related woes, the stress of the holidays, internet outages, writer’s block, etc. In the few times that I had sufficient time and energy to even look at the Paizo boards, I found myself overwhelmed by the high number of new posts and was experiencing terrific guilt and anxiety about having missed so much. I have been composing this message for a couple of days now, trying to provide a semblance of apology.
And now I am trying to catch up in earnest.
Thank you for your patience with me, especially those who reached out here or on Discord. I tried my best to respond as I was able, but I know I missed some of you.
Ingrit
We're happy to have you back. Don't stress yourself out more than you need to. Breathe.
Hadda Sogard
Thanks again. Sorry to have messed up the possibility of near-daily progress over the holidays.
Domitian Olavsgaard
Welcome back, Hadda! Glad to have you back, and no need to feel guilty at all.

Take you time getting back to speed. I can 'bot Hadda if her turn is up and she doesn't post in 24 hours. Post when you can but keep your mental health as your top priority.
Seke
Hi GM, I just thought of a question: Is this deeper darkness? Because in case this only magical darkness then those with darkvision can still see which would be the case for Seke.
Clebsch RoW
It's the spell Fog cloud. "The fog obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can't use sight to locate the target)."
Seke
Ahh very good! Thanks!

Crasius: Maybe a morningstar? Or a longspear? Obviously exotic (or martial) weapon proficiency would open up some juicy damage dice.
All: in Hadda's spellbook, she has access to the spell ashen path. If she falls back, she should be able to cast it on multiple people to deal with the fog. A wind spell would be nice as well, but I don't think any of us have something like that.
She'll need to draw out her spellbook, get to where a group of people are, and cast the spell. She'll say as much to Ingrit on her next turn.
Crasius Leone
A simple reach weapon would be very ideal. A good morningstar would work. Anything else would require a feat and at that point I might as well go with some exotic weapon.
My currently available option is to use natural weapons if I need to be in melee, but I am not feeling that with Crasius.
Clebsch RoW
I'm at the end of a term, which means grading for the previous term and posting grades, plus prepping for the next class. I think it will be less time-consuming this go-round, but it I will still be a little slow for the next few days.
Hadda Sogard
Ingrit: I don't think that there are any additional enemies within the fog. I think Caigreal, who is currently out of the fog, is our only combatant.
I can still provide ashen path so that we can shoot at her from the fog, though.
---
Thanks for letting us know, GM. Good luck with the grading, and I hope that your students gave you more pleasant things to read than trash.
Crasius Leone
I will be traveling from 1/26 through 1/29. I should have good access to the internet and be ble to post in the evenings. But feel free to bot as needed.
Domitian Olavsgaard
I'm entering a busy period at work that may keep me tied up until February 12 (Super Bowl Sunday). I'll still try to check in and post, but I can't guarantee I'll make a consistent appearance. Please feel free to bot me.

Seems we are all slammed. I will get things moving again later today. I have a task to take care of this morning and then I'll move things along.
Hadda Sogard
I'm having a hard time figuring out who is up in initiative. As best as I can tell, we're in Round Four. Seke used her Misfortune hex, Caigreal laid out massive damage to Dom, Dom retaliated but couldn't give quite as good as he got, and then Hadda double moved into the fog. I won't be able to cast Ashen Path until Round Five with the action economy afaik, so Ingrit, Wapiti, Crasius, and Rurik are waiting until then to move out when they can act in spite of the fog. So I guess that technically, if Ingrit, Crasius, Rurik, or Seke have actions that they want to take, they're up. Is that correct?
Clebsch RoW
I've been meaning to get things on track. I explained in the gameplay thread that Hadda's calling people together to cast a spell on them was actually in the next round (now the current round).
So I'm expecting posts from Hadda, Crasius, Rurik, and Ingrit. Since Hadda called them together for casting a spell on them, she should probably do what she planned, so the others can decide on their actions. I believe all but Crasius had to move to get there, so they have just a standard action or a second move action this round. Crassius can take his full turn, since he was where the others moved to.
Seke and Dom have acted this turn.
Rurik Voralius
I'm gonna go out on a limb and ask for input from my teammates. I'm not sure how to help, since I dunno if Rurik's weapon will hurt the hag (it's bludgeoning/piercing and magic but not aligned or made of a special material). Hadda? Anyone? Got a suggestion?
Normally I wouldn't ask someone else to make decisions for my character, but I'm kinda at a loss at the moment, and Rurik is supposed to be much better at making decisions than I am (his Wisdom is much higher).
Clebsch RoW
I'd suggest moving toward Dom and the hag after Hadda casts her spell. If you cannot contribute to fighting the hag (and I'm not saying you cannot) you can always heal Dom, who has taken some wounds and may be in trouble.
Hadda Sogard
Yup. Hadda has essentially nullified the fog cloud for most of us using ashen path. And unless Caigreal can identify the spell via spellcraft (which she might from the verbal components alone), she might not formally know that we can see through the fog. That could give us an advantage if we can draw her into the fog. Otherwise we can attack from the fog at range (if we remove the barriers between us).
But for Rurik, your weapon bypasses her natural DR/bludgeoning. If she has another source of DR, we don't know about it.
Ingrit
Also I'll have Wapiti wade in to handle some of the pressure of melee for a bit which should provide the opening to get in and drop a high level healing spell on Dom to get him back into the fight.
And yeah as an archer I'm completely dependent on Ashen path as Imm essentially useless if I can't see my target.
