Um..if it's a muscle type strain? I was in a similar position a while back and locally there is a muscle relaxant called "Mersyndol" don't know what it might be called where ever you are. After taking a couple of those babies? It was like I'd gone to sleep and had a full body massage when I woke up. :)
Sorry to hear of your pain.
Best wishes.

Just wondering if we can do something about the intitiative thing? I have a fairly hight init which works with sneaks attacks etc and as per the last combat the person with the lowest initiative rolled and we got hit first. Only a small thing but kinda nerfs me a bit...

Option 3 would be one person rolls the Init d20, then the DM just applies each person's init modifier. You end up with fast people still being fast and slow people still being slow, with minimal delay to the game. So long as you don't require folks to post in init order, summarize events logically based on stated actions, and allow lower init players to redo actions if something happens that would affect their previous action, you should be good to go.
Okay, just checking due to the confusion of the map situation. I was just updating the map with each post update I was doing.
So, what should I have done differently this combat?
I usually updated the map at the start of each init cycle.

Erian basically covered any suggestions I could come up with, but really nice map and just use single rolls for things like initiative or sense motive checks, since we shouldn't be able to know if someone is telling bluffing with us, except for combat feints obviusly.

I usually just post updates once all actions have been declared. I update the map once per round and expect players to post (approximately) in order or initiative. With this many players it may be more difficult, but not too much. Here is an example from a game I DM. Feel free to borrow the template, if you like.

QUESTION
I've noticed that (a) our party already has a holy warrior and (b) my mount is going to be useless for a significant portion of this AP. I should have read ahead, but I forgot.
Would you mind terribly, DM, if I did some tweaking with this character?
What kind of changes?

Black Fang |

Switch around his class. I wanted to change him to a rogue/monk. I figured since we've only had two fights (it's been two, right?) that it wouldn't be too hard.
I'd rather it be a completely different character. Ilya can "feel a pull" to a different place and ride off in the morning. The party will find your new character soon after that. Acceptable?

** spoiler omitted **
Tanner
He is a blackscaled kobold.
Last survivor of a doomed attacked on the mites.
He and three other kobolds attacked to try and retrieve a statue of "Old Sharptooth" the mites managed to steal.
Edited with additional info for Tanner.

One more thing, O-mighty-DM. I noticed that Initiative and Perception checks seem to really slow down posting. Perhaps you could roll them for us and post the info in a spoiler? I think that would speed things along. Just a thought.

I've been thinking about doing that, just wasn't ready to ask the group if it was okay or not yet. I'll do that from now on.

So, just letting you know, I have to work a double tomorrow, a double Friday, a double Saturday, I'm off Sunday but have my RL D&D game and will be catching up on sleep. I work 1 shift on Monday (my other day off) and a double on Tuesday. After that I should work fairly normal schedules, so my posting will be sporadic but I will try to keep RP things moving. Feel free to do all of Constance's other posts if need be, ie rolls, Combat etc.
