"Lets smoke the bastard out." Alwyn points his sword at the shielding pillar; suddenly it is boiling with stinging wasps.

I'm casting Insect plague. It's an overrated spell, but kinda usful here. The swarms fill the F-G 31-32, F-G 33-34 and H-I 33-34.

Also, Dravite and I are in wrong positions. The dwarf's in K13 and I'm in O12.

Dravite switches targets to the onrushing fighter.

Dravite's on initiative 13+. No move. He's firing on the stone giant using Deadly Aim and Multishot.
Attack 1 (w/Multishot): 12+9+4(favoured enemy)+1(Big Game Hunter feat)+2(Giant Bane bow)-2(Deadly Aim)=AC 26, damage 2d8+6+8(Favoured enemy)+4(Big Game Hunter)+8(Deadly Aim)+4d6(Giant Bane bow)=10+6+8+4+8+12=48.

Ouch! Thankfully he didn't confirm the critical.

Dravite drops his bow and draws his ogre hook in one smooth motion. He then proceeds to bury its blade in the giant's side.

5' step to K14. Single attack only, unfortunately. We gotta get rid of the regular giant to Dravite can get back to peppering the wizard with arrows. Attack roll 12+11+4(Favoured Enemy)+1(Big Game Hunter)+2(Favoured Terrain)=AC 30, damage 1d12+7+4(Favoured Enemy)+2(Big Game Hunter)+2(Favoured Terrain)=25.

Sefayll, then Camlo.

PS: In his new spot, Dravite allows for Camlo to sneak attack the giant, right? Or does that only apply to melee attacks?


Only to melee, I believe, but if Camlo surprises him it'll work (assuming he's within sneak attack range).

Dravite hooks the giant and rips, a look of grim satisfaction on his face as the warrior roars in pain.

The warrior just carries junk. The wizard has a wand, a ring, a Sihedron medallion (though somewhat large), a bag of black onyz gems and his spellbook.

"Heh. He has a Sihedron Medallion... Hellknight, take his spellbook and look through it at an opportune time. Anyone badly hurt? If not, let's keep moving. We can toss the whole complex once all the ogres are dead."

Man, you're like a broken record. 3,200xp each for the ogre mash.

The wand is a Wand of Enervation (20 charges remaining), the ring is a Ring of Cold Resistance. The medallion is a standard Sihedron Medallion, albeit a big one.

The adventurers check out the room to the left. A shrine bearing the feral visage of a brutally beautiful monstrous maiden with the head of a three-eyed jackal and the belly of a pregnant young woman leans against the far wall.

No prizes for guessing this is a shrine to Lamashtu.

Things tend to go south around here which ever way we go.....


Fire and thick black smoke reign here, spewing from black pits in the bedrock where forge fires glow. Anvils loom throughout this enormous cavern. This is where the ogres now lying stacked like firewood in the corridor came from. A number of narrow works tunnels branch off from here. Down them in the distance can be heard the distant sound of picks on rock and the rumble of ogrish voices.

"What kind of question is that? Of course we want to waste more ogres! Both to safeguard places like the Black Arrow fort and Turtleback Ferry, and because killing ogres is always the right thing to do." Alwyn cracks his knuckles theatrically before leading the way towards the ogrish voices.

"But before the fun starts - Dravite and Camlo, please go and find out how many of them there are."
