Back in Portsmouth now, so the holidays are almost over, hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Normal service should be resuming, especially when I get back to work on the 5th.

Just tell me where you want to place yourselves. Also not sure if everyone has finished their surprise round if you want to get straight to the rounds. Also I was going to say that I'll roll the inititive, which makes things easier for me to keep track of everyone.

Solaria Jesari
I'll place after Agathon to form a proper wedge formation.
Solaria and TzeTing follow Badger's instructions to form the wedge.
Badger you can place Solaria and TzeTing when you place Badger and the dogs, so we don't waste time waiting for me!!| Badger Woods |
Since people are following my lead on this then I will do my best.
Place Agathon at G -3, Badger at G -5 on Victor, Fox at G -6, Hound at H -5, Solaria with TzeTing at I -3.
If that doesn't quite work for you DM Aron then move us to where you feel is appropriate but generally keep the same sort of spacing.
DM Aron Marczylo
I assume H -7 and I placed the cleric on there as she hasn't spoken up it seems

Given her more than enough time, I'll post for Kyrina

Seeing that the Orc has not done anything she casts Guidence on Mal before attempting once again to try and convince the Orc.

Half-Orc
Orc
Moved TzeTing to the other Orc as it was never defined which Orc he was attacking and you all know Kyrina has possibly enchanted the Orc before he acted.
Solaria Jesari
Solaria, seeing Mal up against an orc on his own, decides to give him some help and give him an advantage in the fight. She shouts to TzeTing, "Leave, come be ready to attack the orc there.", as she points out the orc. Then she starts to jiggle her body and say strange arcane words. As she moves her hands in a spherical motion, a brown gaseous form takes shape, it concentrates until a small dark ball that hovers above her index finger. She points at the weapon held by the orc in front of Mal. As the last syllables of the final word of the spell fade into the ether, the brown ball flies towards the great axe.
Cast grease on the Great Axe wielded by Orc at (G,-7). reflex save DC=16 or drop the axe and it would need a reflex save each time to use/pick up the axe for the next 2 minutes.
On TzeTings turn, hearing the words from his friend, the great serpentine beast roars a word of acknowledgment and withdraws from combat with his current advesory. The beast moves backwards defensively, before turning and slithering towards this new target.
TzeTing Withdraws to (D,-5)

Kyrina Round 2
Kyrina casts Cure light wounds on Mal
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
This the half-orc continues to maintain his grip as the great covers the weapon, but there's still the chance it'll fall when he uses it.
Mal stabs deep into the half-orc, it looks angry as it's stabbed, but remain standing as it seems to struggle holding the axe.
There are a bunch of misses on the Orc that the Gnome, dogs and Agathon are arracking. He doesn't appear to have been hurt.
Wow, you guys were doing a me with those rolls...
Half-Orc:

Fox damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Badger feels the thump on his hide armour from the Half-Orc but the hide and inner padding deflect and absorb the blow from biting and inflicting any lasting harm.
The Half-Orc pulling so close gives Victor a good chance to set his teeth into the thigh of the humanoid while Fox rips at a hand of the Half-Orc.
Solaria Jesari
Solaria speaks from under her hood, before pointing at the half-orc. A colorless streak of hissing liquid launches from her finger and hurtles towards the half-orc.
TzeTing, continues his movement to get behind the half-orc, attempting to bite and then trip the creature before it does any more damage to Mal. TzeTing flanks the half-orc with Mal

Round 3 - Kyrina
Kyrina again touches mal with a healing touch, channelling positive energy into her hands and through into his body.
healing: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
The attacks of all the dogs tore into the Orc's Flesh and Agathon's blade finished him of, thrusting the blade deep into his chest and slicing up all the organs with the thrust and then pulling the blade out to let the Orc fall to the floor, dead.
Acid burns the Half-Orc and he groans out in pain and rage, screaming at the top of his lungs and in a fit of rage turns to face the Orc who has been charmed and swings his axe at him in such a incredible rage.

Damage: 1d12 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
The half-orc brings the axe down which slices through his head, watching the Orc fall to the floor dead and still acting up in a intense rage.

Solaria Jesari
Once more a streak of hissing liquid launches from Solaria's finger and hurtles towards the half-orc.
TzeTing launches a ferocious attack on the half-orc, yet in his enthusiasm TzeTing appears to lack the accuracy required to do real harm to the deadly enemy.
TzeTing takes a 5ft move so he can flank with Mal.
Acid Splash Touch Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Acid Splash Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

The final assult by Mal's attack manages to peirce thehalf-orc, finally gutting it and letting it fall to the floor once again letting silence fall upon the battle field.
I should be faster with reply. Recently bought hero lab and just bought a whole bunch of other stuff on it. Will certainly make more encounters balanced.
Malstei Alenuath
Mal drinks a potion to heal the wound delivered by the half orc. "That was a lot closer than I would have liked. Let's see who these prisoners are shall we?"
Mal searches the half orc looking for a set of keys to open the cage.

Potion Cure Light Wounds - 1d8 +1
So far you notice that he was wearing shining masterwork quality breastplate, large pouch of gems and the keys.
The prisoners in the cage started calling out to you all as the battle ends. They all appear to be humans and nearby on the treasure pile is a pile of shining armour with emblems matching those of the Flaming Fist group like the armour Captain Frakes was dressed in.
Solaria Jesari
Solaria checks TzeTing over for any injuries. As she does this, he returns the favour, but neither seem to have injuries. She asks TzeTing to gather the bodies, so they can start a pyre.
DM Aron Marczylo

You manage to make the pyre with ease with the two Orcs and half-orc, though you have not declared if you're searching them first.
Agathon Myrdalon
"Whoa there. Easy now, we should search the bodies first. For clues, and... such." Agathon stops Solaria before she can set the bodies aflam, strips them and tosses the corpses back on the pyre. "Go on, I'll sort through this." he says. Turning to the pile gathered off the bodies, he sifts through it.
DM Aron Marczylo
The armour on the two orcs appears to be studded leather armour whilst the half-orc is dressed in very nice looking breastplate.
The half-orc also had a pouch of gems and the other two had pouches that appear to have once held coins in them.
There is a large chest close to the huge cage with the humans still inside. The few men and women still left there calling out to you all.
Agathon Myrdalon
"Oh crap!" Agathon curses as his head snaps up at the sound of the prisoners calling. "I thought somebody was seeing to that." he mutters accusingly as he gets up and heads over to them.
"Hi there, hi. Yes, I'm coming." he says trough a stiff smile of pearly white teeth as he waves to them on his way over to the cages.
"Hi. I'm Agathon. How are you? All right? Ok.. Let's see about this lock now." he says, maintaining what he is sure is a winning smile for the pesant rabble. Looking at the lock he gives it a tug to see if it will open. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Mal had the keys off the half-orc, I assume he'd hand them to you
You manage to open the gate and all who are within shout thank yous and head over to the pile where they're armour was piled up, though not everyone's armour was there and some had to go for the orc's armour, assuming you're not taking it but it us only mundane leather armour.
"Thank you, all of you brave warriors for saving us. Many of us have been taken prisoner up north through the mountains by the powerful orc kin. We only wish we had your foresight and tried to surprise them than brute force, but they were too powerful." this man shaking his head as he remembers and recalls how they were all knocked down with ease "They did dark rituals before devouring the flesh of our numbers who were killed. I think it was to some dark lady. They had a leader but he had a bodyguard who had large bat-like wings, but remained looking like a orc."
You are certain that the orc he just described was the one that you saw in your horrific image that the drow lady had forced upon your joined dream.
Malstei Alenuath
Mal hands the gems to Badger. "See if you can determine what they are worth my friend. It appears that we are on the right path. My destiny is laid out before me. I must ascend this mountain and confront this foe. I know he is the one that this foul Goddess has set upon me. We must be cautious though, this beast will prove more dangerous than anything we have faced before".
Badger Woods
Badger looked at the armour and noted, 'Looks like our messengers are not going to be carrying word much farther then this camp. So much for trying to get word out to the other towns on the backs of these Flaming Fists. I'm afraid we appear to late for Captain Frakes.
Turning to Mal, 'I understand if you feel that you have a destiny to confront but I'm not much on playing by some demented God's rules. The Forest Lord teaches that trickery is as valuable as heart when facing a conflict. There is nothing that you need to do that you can't do it with us accompanying you to make sure that you have a fair trial by whatever fates that you choose. And if you wish me to stack the deck in your favour then I'm more than sure that I can help find you a way to do it.'
Solaria Jesari
With the bodies searched, and a pyre ready to accept them and burn their remains, Solaria asks, "Is it OK to burn the bodies now?"
When Badger or one of the others agrees, she instructs TzeTing to take the bodies across to the pile of wood and she sets light to the pyre.

The man looks a little confused at Mal
"You are willing to head up the mountain? They had ogres with them. You must all be mighty warriors if you're willing to go up these mountins against ogres and other giants." he seemed to be measuring you up as if wondering what power you had "We only failed because we didn't know of that beast and ogres they had with them."Just a reminder, you guys still have the letters from the noble in that town up north of Beregost where he tried to pay for a half-elf child.
Malstei Alenuath
To Badger. "Badger, I have no doubt that without all of you I can't survive. Your enemies are mine as well adn I am sure we will confront them soon enough as well".
To the mercenary, "Then it is good that fate has sent us here to you now for without such information we may too have fallen to these creatures. Do you wish to accompany us to rescue those of your friends who may yet live?"

To the mercenary, "Then it is good that fate has sent us here to you now for without such information we may too have fallen to these creatures. Do you wish to accompany us to rescue those of your friends who may yet live?"
The man shakes his head
"I'm sorry but I can't risk losing the numbers we have. We have family to think about and need to report back to the captain. Is he still in Beregost? Have the children been found?" he asks, curious as to how long they have been stuck out here. He looks over at the chest wonderingly. "You can have whatever is in there along with our own coin which is in there too. You have saved our lives and I promise you, the flaming fist will repay our dept when we are at full strength." as he says this you notice that they all look very tired, probably kept awake for all the nights they have been there to demorilize them.
