Artemis would just watch a bit as the Night Hawks retreated back, "I'm gonna stay up here and continue sniping for now... its not like they are gonna get me anytime soon." he says, before firing again at the Orange Troll.

Joe and Serill get 2 move actions away?, though Joe does provoke one attack of opportunity from the purple troll. Its large claw easily misses as Joe dodges the attack.

It looks like Joe just went 30 feet, is that as far as you want to move in Round 13? Neither of you stated how far you would move. I need to know this before I have the trolls act in 13...

Round 14

John runs beside Serill, in front of Joe. Getting 40 feet ahead of Joe. As Joe takes a double move instead of only 80 feet. Delman unleashes several arrows into the troll after Joe.

The huge troll seems to run the same speed as the large ones. With their double move there is 20 feet between Joe and them. All of the trolls but the hiding orange troll and the one that must have died.

Markas stands ready with his longspear pointed out in front of himself, the tip of his spear begins to glow.

She continues to run, jumping over any obstacles in her path with ease, maybe a few orc bodies.

She slows down only taking a double move to catch her breath and comes up to Delman.

"How are you guys on fire resist? Joe you up for another stand or should we retreat back to the fort? Oh the big one is charging with backup!"

With no response from Joe, she shrugs. Then talks into her ring, "full retreat then, Artemis see if you can finish that one you have been pounding. Markas will take out whichever one charges him, then we will be back tomorrow."

She vanishes.... and you can see foot prints in the snow heading to the side of the pass.

Another of the trolls are vaporized by Markas. Which makes all the trolls stop... then he is gone as well.

The trolls stop chasing... end of combat for most, what do you do now?.

After Joe was happy everyone made it back, he sighed a sigh of relief. "Thank you everyone for giving your all. Let's return to the fort to rest and plan our next move."
The paladin king waved Artemis to either rejoin the group or meet back up at the fort.

Yes like disappeared. Though I believe you were running and couldn't see it... nor did your spellcraft check either.

As the three of you keep running you likely slow down with over 300 feet between you and the trolls. Markas appears and catches up.

Artemis:
As you switch between cold and acid each turn knowing you need to stop its regeneration and with Jellena's aid, on round 18 you put the troll down. You both likely hit it again with acid to make sure it is dead.

The five of you: Joe, John, Serill, Delman and Markas continue moving south towards the fort.

Artemis:

Jellena waves her hand to Artemis and points to the South. She checks the body of the troll and finding noting of worth, she begins to walk to the South, doing her best not to be seen by the trolls.

Soon enough the others are coming back, obviously given up the fight. She doesn't take a chance and quickly disappears again. No sign of her as the trolls come back to the bodies of their fallen. They quickly fall upon the bodies. The huge one just goes north and soon the other trolls follow.

What do you do Artemis, do you follow or return to the fort?

Anyone need healing?" Joe asks as The Night Hawks walk back to the fort. "I can Lay on Hands six more times today."


As eventually the whole group collects on the path back to the fort. Some may take longer than others to catch up. What do you do for the rest of the day assuming you are going to wake up early to start the day. Then you would have 8 hours to do as you wish, 8 hours to sleep and be ready for the next day. I assume with the early rise you might get in a run again... Please post what you do!

She would check in on each of you to make sure you are feeling well. In that meeting she would cast spells and cure any wounds you might have. She would also ask, "If you could use the wish spell what would you wish for?"

John do you have a ring yet from her?

She would spend the rest of her time doing situps, push-ups, jumping Jack's, stretches, and going for runs. Once her daily quest was done she would go look for a hot bath.


He would go and talk with John first. Asking about his special ability and what rogue abilities he has gained from it so far. Also adding, "Did you learn anything new today or will it all come together when you level up?"

Later he would join in on the exercising. Sweating profusely through the whole ordeal.

Next he would track down Serill and ask about his ability of his intelligence edge? "What can you use it through? Your rays or also through your magic missiles?"

Serill finds Markas when he reappears. "Nicely done destroying that troll. How did you do that?" When he is asked about his last wish that he made he says, "It (intelligence's edge) helps me defend myself against attacks and spells, and hit targets more accurately too." Does it increase damage from spells? Could I have been doing 1d3+2 acid splash? I'm not sure if I get extra damage there or not.

When Joe asks if healing was needed, "I'm ok. None of them hit me and the protection from Erastil stopped me from being burned." Temp HP we have

"Perhaps my spells were too focused on only taking the big one down. Is there a way to watch him? If we are lucky he will continue being unable to breath from the transformation spell I put on him and ultimately die." Serill suggests.

When Jellena checks in on him and asks him what he might wish for he thinks for a moment. "Right now I am not sure what I would wish for. I already have gained much more than I ever thought possible. I want to aid the Mistress in fighting against these dark souls as best I can. Was that large troll we fought one of them?"

"I could though there are limitations and possible curses that come with it Joe. Should you go through it you would have to sacrifice your seelie heritage and or something more to negate the curse. Ed sacrificed his freedom, his ability to learn a class, and still he may become cursed. Just the right conditions haven't occurred. Wish making is a tricky thing as we all have found out. Remember Artemis's first wish and the evil mini gun we got. You can gain the attention of an outsider. Even a good outsider can be jealous of you and we may be forced to fight an angel. There are so many possible bad outcomes. The Dark Soul wishes are pretty clear cut in comparison, you get what you wish for, with your intent in mind, for the most part." She relays to Joe but also to the whole party of Night Hawks.

"Yes Serill I am pretty sure the huge one was one of the Dark Souls. Frank had been learning about them and the Dark Soul of Greed was suppose to be a red fire troll with a massive second mouth in its stomach." She told him thinking about it as she replied.


"Thank you Serill. It is a little trick I picked up from Delman. You see the ability I wished for coming here was to mimic, copy, and use the abilities of other Chosen as my own. Of course it was much more in length and after finding out there are many Chosen here. Now I can't mimic Joe's as the wish was just to copy abilities. Once she catches up with Joe and Artemis joins the group she asks a very important question, "I have been thinking about this, since we have our new Familia and Night Hawk member, maybe this would be an excellent time to regroup at the Library? We could take Merlynn too. Now with three wizards I wonder what could be made. Castria could also whip up a few items. In under four hours we would be rested and better equipped to face those trolls again. What do you think?"

She gives Niversal directions to a temple with a bell in a tall tower. She is waiting for you with what seems to be new gear.

As you approach she greets Ed with a smile and a pet. Then asks, "Shall we go?" With a likely nod or agreement she starts walking beside Niversal, pointing out, "We will head over to the Temple of Death, then teleport to the rest of the group. How have you been, what spells did you learn?"

"The library would be an ideal place to regroup, and Mer;ynn would love it there", Joe admits. "I'm for the library".

She alludes in her sexy manner that you are used too, "Oh Artemis I have plenty of plans..." She leaves it at that as the group likely follows heading towards the waypoint now.

"To the fort to get Merlynn, check in with Lancelot, then we will be off." She states as if it will be that simple.


Unless there is some reason to stop the group moves to the waypoint. Just before leaving Ryada, Ed, and Niversal appear!


She dismisses her invisibility and lands beside the group, says a few arcane words, casting sending, then states, "Lancelot, Night Hawks done in the pass, we will be back in four hours. Trolls still threat, scouts only, double guard and be safe." Then she turns to the group and states, "Well that handles that. Lancelot should be fine, I believe the trolls are retreating. Once we get to this library of yours I could scry and use clairvoyanceon them."

"Hey! It's good to see you both! Come along I will explain on the way, we are going to the library!" She says excitedly, placing her hand on the crystal makes sure everyone is touching it before teleporting the group to a desert scene. The crystal is exposed to the sun and only the platform it resides on seems to be out of place in the desert.

As the group walks in the sand she explains, "To put it simply we found the repository of all Knowledge in this world, from Earth, and many other worlds. As we get in I will adjust the time dilation field so only seconds pass by in this world as hours pass inside of the library giving us plenty of sleep, rest, time to craft and so on. If you don't have a specific task in mind talk with the group. We had Frank doing research on the Dark Souls. Thus why I am sure that troll was one of them. Joe was searching for information on godlings. I was researching how the temple works, the time dilation field, and how to be a jedi. Yes info on Star Wars is here too! Delman was working on a gestalt bath, which some of you might be interested with. Ryada was looking at all sorts of things. Calistra is Delman's flame, and our main crafter here. The dilation field does need to get charged so while the Night Hawks are away time passes here normally.:


It takes the group about a half hour to get to what looks like deserted ruins, as you have climbed up and down quite a few sand dunes.

Luckily nothing moves in the area and you continue into the town. No one is on the streets. Many of the buildings are collapsed and or sand filled. One large building dominates the central square and opposite of it are three fountains that are working and have their bases filled with clear water.
