Nope, that's a relic of 3.5. Pathfinder did away with any oblong spacing.

Seems your right. The Bestiary just says Space: 10', not 10' x 5', must be my Character Sheets that are out of date. The Stat Block for my Horse definitely came through with 10' x 5'; I will change it.

They can still squeeze into 5' wide spaces, though so it's not totally counterintuitive.

I'm no expert on horses, but if these are not war-trained mounts (and I suspect they are not), fighting could cause them to start trying to escape. In an enclosed space like the courtyard, that would result in rearing and bucking and general chaos; they will be lashing out at random targets until such time as there is an exit (i.e. the gates are opened again). That could mean letting some bandits escape.

Of course, the horses would return back home, (which presumably is the bandit camp), leaving an easily folowed trail...

No, I got that wrong. The stat Block says Face/Reach: 10'/5'. Apparently, I just can't read, lol.

Nope, still not quite right :P That means that a horse's space is 10'x10' but it only threatens 5'(adjacent squares).

Last post in our group (frontier Kingdom) was on Monday). Dunno about the other groups.

I checked the other groups. None of them have a more recent post, so they are all in the same situation, except noone is wondering where the DM is. I have a friend in one of the other groups, I will ask if he knows anything.

I'm in Sir Egon's group. I checked all katataban's games last night, Jan 30 seems to be his or her last post, including as a player.

Hopefully, katataban is well and returns soon...

hmmm....I'm already running a few tables so I was hoping for this to work out. I'll give it a week and see how it ges then.
