Also opened up gameplay and discussion thread for "dotting" and discussion, respectively. Please don't start role-playing in the Gameplay thread until we're all ready to go.

If you want to hash out any pre-existing relationships etc in the Discussion thread feel free.

Great thanks! I will create my profile and finalize my background today. Will also look at other submissions to see if I find Amy links that make sense.

Thanks...looking forward to this one!

Yeah, super excited! I'll get more info on my sheet soon.

Realize I missed the formal recruitment, but if you'd like 1 more (taking your party to 6), I would be happy to put forward a Halfling Cleric of Brandaboris (Halfling God of Misadventure), who'd been drawn into the Mists from Faerun. That's it: a street urchin with a heart of 'sullied' gold who picked the wrong pocket, and before you knew it, the back alleys of Waterdeep's South Ward had given way to the gloom of Paridon.

Mechanically, he'd lend the group some divine power and a healer, two useful things in the terrifying reality of the dread domains. Fluffwise he would be a quick-witted rascal, trying to hold strong against the overwhelming gloom of Ravenloft.

4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 2) = 16 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 3) = 14 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 5) = 16 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 4, 5) = 19 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 6) = 19 = 18
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 4) = 16 = 14

...I hope the Mists have claimed one more. I await your response anxiously.

Go on then, I'll let you in, make us up to six.

Alright, I've got my monk finished, although I may be changing the image at some point here. I'll try to get a brief backstory up in the profile by the time we start.

Sovereign Court

Ravenloft? Well, I bet Mr Bon'varovich is going to have fun! Would there be an assault on castle ravenloft point in the game?

Running Hour of the Knife first, I do have the pdf's of Castle Ravenloft sitting on my computer though...

The Mists of Ravenloft seek to envelop a new adventurer.

I am looking for one replacement Player for a 5E Ravenloft Campaign - Hour of the Knife.

I will keep recruitment open until the 18th and 11:59 PM. Please refer to earlier posts in this Recruitment Thread for character creation guidelines.

What's already in the party? Is it still 1st level?

3rd

The characters are currently 3rd level.

The party mix consists of:

A Human Noble Soldier,
A Half-Vistani Wizard Gypsy,
A Human Monk Acolyte,
A Human Rogue Assassin, and
A DMPC Human Bard Sage.

The character who has dropped was a Halfling Cleric.

Hey Jiggy - It's Filios - I play the Rogue Assassin. Come up with something good!

Come to think of it Jiggy we have played to together in one 5E Campaign that fizzled out [the Lost Mines of Phandelver] and we currently play in one that is ongoing [Castle Caldwell and Beyond: (A 5e Campaign) - The Wrecking Crew], I play Victor.

I was in the Lost Mines with both of you, as well, I believe.

Hm, looks like there's room for some divine magic. What do I need to know about the setting/premise?

The Ravenloft Realm in which the story takes place is based on the Victorian Era of the setting sans guns. So imagine a dark London without gun powder but with magic in the 1880's.

What about the pantheon?

EDIT: Ooooh, you know, I had a concept for a Pathfinder game I ended up not playing in; maybe I can convert him to 5E. He was a magus, so I might be able to swing a fighter1/warlockX build, maybe? He'd be human, with a backstory that he likes to travel the world, meeting new people and collecting souvenirs. Being a traveler would probably make it easy to get him into the campaign, I imagine. How does that sound? I probably couldn't work on the conversion (or any character building, actually) until the weekend, but if you want to get a better idea of the concept, his Pathfinder self is HERE.

EDIT2: Oh, I guess you'll have to look at that alias's post history for the description; looks like only his stats ended up in the profile. Still, his personality is reflected in his starting gear as well (Tien armor, a Varisian scarf, Osirian tepache, etc).

Sure, the Mists pull the unwitting in from any and all lands.

I'm noticing the fighter only gives either light or heavy armor to start, but I kind of picture this guy in medium armor. Mind if I switch out?

EDIT: Also, are trinkets in play? If so: Trinket: 1d100 ⇒ 68 A 1-inch cube, each side painted a different color.

EDIT2: I feel like I'm asking a lot of questions, but how would you feel about a custom "Traveler" background? Outlander is a bit too nature-ish, and there's not much else in that vein...

I thought we could buy guns? I have been totting one for most of the adventure

Hmmm. I suppose then the answer is yes, as I took this game over for the old DM had completely forgotten about that. I don't think one has been fired in game yet.

That's a yes to guns then. :-)

Jiggy go ahead and switch out the armor.

Sure do the Traveler mix and let's see what you come up with.

Here's a mostly-finished version of Jiggy's character. I won't be able to finish the skills and equipment until I get back to my book, but most of the stuff is there.

Okay, I think everything's ready now. Let me know what you think. :)

Looks good to me Jiggy, I will introduce you right after the current scene is over.

You are coming over from Golarion through the mists or did you want to be a native of the Demiplane of Dread?

I don't know what that means. Maybe... coming over from Golarion? That way I can justify my lack of knowledge about this setting. ;)
