You can certainly look for them, back to 2 hours though until you vent atmosphere.
As to modifying the suit for Malt, you'd need a full on functioning workshop with raw materials. It's sort of like trying to modify chainmail for a human to fit a four armed pixie.

We should decompress ourselves in the Pinnace while the atmo leaks out too. So we can hit the ground running when we land to get a med bay powered for Dev.
In the spirit of moving forward:
Cycle in and split into two groups:
Group Warren looks for tissue containers
Group 2 looks for loader
Start bleeding atmo before cycling out
Start decompression.
reenter spacecraft and move fuel for pickup

With the imminent approach of Christmas, I am going to be out-of-touch from the 20th-27th. My brother-in-law is treating my wife and me to a trip to Disney World so that she can see the Christmas decor before her vision is completely lost. To that end, I will be unable to post during that time. If I am in your game, please bot me as necessary. If you are in my game, I will try to find the time before Wednesday to make a brief post, but the game will be suspended until Dec. 28th. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a very Happy New Year to all!
Scandalous
while scandal is not science minded, others are. The best bet in my mind is:
Move the nuclear material to the old imperium ship. Since the fuel system is up and running, we can fill one of the bays with purified water, maybe even heavy water, and use the service bots to refit the fuel for the Phoenix.
purge the water into the lake, package the fuel and fly it back to the Phoenix for fitting.

I'm back and will be spending today and tomorrow catching up. If you ever get the opportunity to do the Ultimate Disney Christmas Package, take it! For roughly $800/person, we stayed at a moderate resort (Coronado Springs), attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, got extra hours in the parks, attended an exclusive Christmas dance party, had an exclusive holiday buffet with live entertainment (and the food was fabulous), and received a special gift in our room on Christmas day that contained a picture frame, serving tray, chocolates, cookies, and much more! All-in-all, a wonderful vacation at an excellent price! BONUS: Because our resort was undergoing construction, we also received three exclusive Disney trading pins featuring Donald and his amigos with construction tools!
I was able to do most everything I wanted to do, with the single exception of Avatar Flight of Passage (my shins were too big), but my wife and brother-in-law did experience it and they thought it was a lot of fun! If you don't know, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is an exclusive event with limited attendance where you spend the entire evening in the Magic Kingdom, riding rides, seeing shows, and getting free treats!
Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled adventure...

actually I can learn recon and flying while helping with food gathering ... but not electronics. I'll need a partner in crime, so I think EAVE and I can handle it.
Everyone else can do repairs or learn a skill. Hopefully we'll have a variety of meat snacks we can turn into Slim Jims
Please ignore my mechanics roll ...or use it for gathering food or whatnot
EAVE
Then after the first week of learning to pilot, EAVE will go steal the other ship with ETERNAL POWER, and fly away. KTHXbYE
But seriously, EAVE learning to help with piloting is valuable, as is remote operations so she can Aid pilots or aid warren when they're necessary. I don't care which weeks she does so on, but she'll gather food on the other weeks.
mdt
Add up all the ranks you have, that's how many weeks it takes to level a skill up 1 level (or get a 0 in a new skill). That's for humans. For androids, I'll have to look it up when I get time.
Scandalous
Do you think it could be possible to streamline the skill rolling process? Not that I don't enjoy the game, but it feels like we might not get to interact with any NPCs for another 3 months or more.
If no one else is bothered then I will absolutely refrain from further comment. I'm just worried the game is winding down, which is exactly what I don't want.
mdt
Sorry, GM is sick, so not updating as often as I'd like.
I put all the rolling information in one big post, assuming people would make multiple rolls in a post to do as much as possible in one post. I'm not sure how else to streamline it other than for me to do all the rolls. I can do that, but some players get upset if I do that.
There's nothing that stops you guys from making dozens of rolls all at once, you know how many units you can salvage from the other ship, what the target numbers are, and how many units you need to work on the phoenix.
I don't mind doing all the rolls in one big post, but need you guys to ok that.

To my games,
I'm on steroids and antibiotics. I've been cycling being well and sick since Christmas, and it appears my lungs were trying to develop pneumonia again. So bear with me and apologies for not posting as regularly as I could have, been a lot more tired/distracted than I realized.

Get better MDT sending good vibes to you!!

It would appear we've lost Malt and scandalous. :(
Almost back to normal, but catching up on work and going on vacation tomorrow, so likely Thursday before I have time to do updates.
mdt
Hi all,
Feeling better, which is good, because I leave on vacation today. Getting sick the week before vacation sucks.
I'll be driving all day today, but will begin vacation posting Thursday. Going to be a bit of a boring vacation (visiting in-laws in the boondocks, so not much to do). Should be able to post frequently.

Con season is upon us, and in just two months, I will be running the game room for CoastCon (Biloxi, MS - March 16-18 if anyone is interested). This does mean that for the next two months, my life is very hectic and gaming must take a back seat. I'm not dropping, just giving warning that my posting may be slightly curtailed (more than usual). If I'm holding things up, just go ahead and bot me if necessary, though I will try to check in at least every other day (except weekends, most of which I will be busy).
If you're in one of my games, I'm apologizing now for any unnecessary delays. Just hang in there and we will plug through.
mdt
I think we may have lost half the players.
Can everyone post and let me know if you're still here? I was thinking about Botting anyone who's gone that can do the J-Drive and M-Drive repairs to get us back on track, and possibly hitting the recruiting list again to see if we can add in some people, but need to know who is still here.
mdt
I think we've only lost 2 (Scandalous and Malt). I'm hoping everything is well with Warren's son.
Assuming that is the case, I can look into calling on our next two backups, which would be :
Ancient Dragon Master : Je-Gan Techstrider, Darrian Renaissance Man
Infernal Zero : Beholder, bodyguard robot
Kobolum : Keeth Blackstone, Retired Imperial Star Marine, Imperial
MadCaster : Gabriel Li, Retired Imperial Marine
Havocprince : Character finalized NEEDS TO BE IN CORRECT FORMAT
Any feelings one way or the other from everyone about which two? I think pulling them in would be better to do after you get the ship out of the current hitch it is in, yes? :)
Warren Connery
My son is doing a bit better thank you. I'm lurking in most of my games now as he is eating up more time. I haven''t been to work since he went in the hospital other than super bowl. Typing one handed is a pain.
I'd say no more robots and a military man (ground) might be good as I don't think we have any of those.
Dev Vorn
Here still!!
EAVE
Beholder is still my top pick, but I don't know if they're still around as much :(
For in character reasons, I'd prefer another Darrian buddy... but 'Stern' is always problematic for me to play with.
Havoc Prince's was never finished, but I loved his Robopower to the Robopeople background.
As I tend to prefer personality over background and such, I'd probably lean towards Keeth over Gabriel.
Overall, that looks like - from want most to want least (no offense to everyone!): Beholder, Keeth, Je-Gan, Gabriel, Havocprincebot (who would be much higher if complete)

1 person marked this as a favorite.
As we already have a robotic character, I am afraid more would simply dilute the trope too much (sorry). Also, most of the others are almost specific built for combat, which we are finding is something we are not doing right now. Perhaps hold off until we get the ship spaceworthy and then let us look for more crew as we jump around the sector...who knows who you might pick up in port...maybe a priest who actually was a spy, or a doctor and his sister who is wanted for being biological experiments...the choices are endless...lol
