Hi all, some of you I haven't gamed with before, some I have - so for the benefit of all concerned, I'll give a bit of general info out.

* The start date will be the kick off of GDVI.
* As I am in Australia, I am about 10 hours ahead of the majority of players, so we will be technically playing 'in the future'.
* As I am in Australia, a lot of the peak posting period is when I am in bed...
* This is fine, as I make sense of all the posts overnight and sort out my games over breakfast - and occasionally during lunch, and then again at night, and other random times. That said, I have some odd work patterns (one of those jobs) and this can be disrupted occasionally - like starting 1300 on one day and ending 1600 the next.
* As I post at least once a day, I hope you will too.
* If you can't post for a couple of days or there is a problem, a quick post works wonders. I am occasionally out bush (Crikey!) and there is usually no signal, but will warn you all out well before I do so.
* If you are MIA/AFK, you may or may not be botted along as appropriate, but this is made easier if you give us an idea of your likely plans (actions, spells, general 'vibe')
* Combats - I run the bad guys as a block. I'll keep you up to speed on who's turn it is and who can act. I'll take the actions IN THE ORDER POSTED (unless it really doesn't make sense)
* If I need something rolled (ie a save) please roll it in the next post as your FIRST roll.
* If you have any issues, feel something was missed or otherwise isn't right, a "Hey mate,..." works wonders. If it is a bit sticky then a PM is also good. Pathfinder is an evolving game, I don't pretend I know everything and am happy to be corrected :)
* My bias is in favour of the players, I want you guys to have a good time - and hopefully also a challenging and memorable one.
* I'm not OCD, but you'll notice I almost always post checks etc in alphabetical order unless the order of play requires them to be done otherwise (eg a Reflex Save, followed by a Fort Save).

Just to ruin my day, I will be out bush with work from the 25th-27th my time (Sydney Australia) about ~10 hours ahead of the US.

I will probably have 0 internet during that time.

The first post will go up in the morning before I head out, and that will give people a bit of time to check in etc, and with the time difference, really just represents a 24 hour delay in the grand scheme :)

Good evening (my time) I will be opening the session in 12 hours, and that will allow people no more than 48hrs to be checked in as a 'soft start', with us getting firmly underway 48 hours later.

* Initial post should be a bit of an introduction.
* Please ensure your current faction Icon is displayed on your profile (or mentioned in your opening post).
* Make sure you post in during the 48 hours, it lets me know I don't have to go hunt more players :)

The tiefling witch "Red" Devlin walks the storied halls of Skyreach, his prehensile tail scratching one ear. Where is Gauril Karela, I wonder? I miss my old faction leader. The Sczarni should have maintained their independence. Ah well, The Exchange thrives under its new management.

The rustling in Red's oversized codpiece reminds him that his familiar, Sting, senses his pensive mood.

A passing Varisian gives a double-take when the red-skinned, red-eyed tiefling offers her a subtle, secret Sczarni greeting. Desna bless the Frallino family of Magnimar for taking in my Kellid mother and for their acceptance of her strange infant.

And may the gods curse the demons of the Worldwound who defiled her and forced her to flee hearth and home. Red ponders his growing power as a warlock, ticking off the hexes and spells at his command. And if the gods are too busy, I'll curse the foul demons myself.

I'm not sure what our goal is at these social gatherings. Are we trying to impress, build rapport? Seek out and talk to useful contacts? Combo?

Welcome to the 'Sandbox' scenario - It's sort of over to you guys and where you decide to take it, and what you do in one social gathering may have a bearing on the next. I think at this stage you might be looking at them as a 'social encounter' to be resolved rather than an actual social event. At this stage, you appear to be a group of people who are attending the functions, dressed for the occasion, and some people may recall the acrobatic lady later on etc.

Some of these will have a hook, some won't. There are a few very explicit events though - such as being invited to a dinner that night.

I'll be out field again 08-17 Sep. I will have 'net access, but will be on at funky hours (ie when I get the opportunity to have a break). Will still be good to post etc, but I may be a bit patchy at times.

Folks, I just glanced at Shifty's slides, looking for a handout that might show the warrant. Not there (not needed), but I noticed I hadn't yet filled in the blanks with Red's Initiative, Perception, and other Player/PC data. You might want to take a minute and fill it out.

FYI friends, I have been blessed/cursed with a trainee at work until at least mid October. So on the days I work, I will be posting once in the evening when I get home. On days off, it should be like normal.

I'd suggest sending the missing players a PM. Sometimes the game threads stop showing that there are updates for some players.

Indeed, PM'ing them, the game updates (at least) daily though, so as a player I'd also be checking the thread.

I'll be in Ireland on business (Blue-Job Chrome Polish--check it out) and pleasure (34th wedding anniversary October 15) over the next couple of weeks.

I have my wife's blessing to post every day, but it'll usually be in the evenings over there.

I love my wife, so I'll probably not post at all on October 15.

We're in the middle of what's left of Hurricane Ophelia. We might lose power shortly, and no one knows for how long. I will continue to post as long as it's possible. If I lose connectivity, I'll post again as soon as we get it back.

We're in The G Hotel in Galway. There are worse places to be in a hurricane.

We're scheduled to leave Ireland and return to Seattle on Thursday.

We are (obviously) in the endgame, so I am keen to ensure all our paperwork is submitted on time and I can get you your chronicles done etc.

I usually purchase an oil of daylight for those times when my party members without darkvision forget to acquire one. Apparently I never managed to do that with this PC.

With that said, this game should be wrapped by then anyhow - pretty sure you guys will have this done in the next two rounds... surely!?

OK all, we are now in the last wrap up so I'm getting the reporting in order. I'll get the sheets 99% prepped so I can do an issue the minute the game wraps as it is better to do BEFORE I head away for the weekend - so we can do last admin and then issue up.
