why is everything so messed up now?

log on last night everything is fine, log in today and everything looks weird and non of my links work

There was a significant update. There was a warning about it on the top of each forum page for about a day or so. No specifics, just that there would be a big update. Not all of my links work either, I think that means they changed the way things are connected together on the site.

Same here. The layout of the forums is totally bad. Before we could just scroll down the front page and find the topics and threads we had been following easily. Now it's follow this link, follow another link, and then have to hunt for the topic you want by using the search bar. And where is the private message icon??

If this is the "maintenance" the boards were down for today it's a pretty sad excuse for an upgrade, IMO.

Unannounced change of the site, looks like. I don't like it either. Fortunately my bookmark to the pbp campaign I am on still worked, but now... you cannot browse threads... you have to itemize each subject line you want to search on.

I foresee MUCH LESS TRAFFIC and player/fan content as a result.

At least my bookmarked PRD's are still good.

Use the address of http://paizo.com/community/forums and it should look mostly like it did before, just with a big header at the top of the screen.

I agree. This is not a good change. I'm afraid it will drive the users like me (I spend a great deal of time here, possibly more than many, many others except the mods) away. I'd hate to lose contact with many of the friends I've made here but I'm afraid people will dive off this new format like rats off a ship.

Might have something to do with Google and other browsers requiring https (secure) sites to appear on their searches or you get a warning before linking that "This website is not secure."

Heard about that on the news last week.

Mostly I say. The bottom section that Gamer Life / Entertainment / Artwork & Crafting is missing from that page. My posts are still there, but I don't see how to navigate to it.

The problem I have is the 3" margin on the left and right of the screen. I'd rather it take up the full screen please.

Looks a lot like the new industry standard (for example, the FFG forums look a lot like this now)... not wild about that- but they also said over on Facebook that there's going to be some tuning for a little while yet. We'll see.

I can't say I like the change. The print seems harsher on the eyes and there are no links on the side anymore [PRD, FAQ, ect].

The print doesn't bother me so much, really. But I do miss the sidebars.

Sign me up for the "This is pretty naff" crowd.

Losing the most recent forum wide posts is the biggest loss imo. Sifting through each individual sub for new stuff is frankly a pain.

Other than the font/layout and there being more posts per thread page I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference.

I appreciate the update. Looks much cleaner and more modern. Even then, it didn't change all that much.

well the dots on all posts are gone as well have to manually go threw and see which forum titles look familiar and see if you been posting in them
