Wyvaran question.

Advice

Sovereign Court

Looking at Wyvaran. Want to improve Fly maneuverability. Is there a way?

Maneuverability doesn't work the same way it did in 3.5.

For the most part, all maneuverability is controlled by the Fly skill, and the maneuverability rating you have just gives you a modifier to it. If you want to be able to do better things while flying, invest into the fly skill with Skill Focus and Acrobatic.

A bat familiar gives you a +3 bonus to fly checks.

Also consider the Signature Skill feat on the Fly skill, since it lets you do more things without sacrificing movement or speed.

I know in Race builder there is a way to pay for improving the maneuverability rating, and thus lessen the penalties.

Wyvaran start with a clumsy rating. -8 is a lot to overcome. To even be able to get it to average would be enough.

You can't, all you can do is improve your fly skill, in 3.5 there was Improved Flight and Improved Maneuverability.

You can check out this and if you like it then you could also buy this book

And also check out this

Taking the evasive maneuvers alternate racial trait improves your maneuverability to average.
Taking Skill Focus (fly) and Graceful Flier improves your maneuverability by one step and your speed by 5 feet, as long as you don't have medium or heavy armor or loads.
Finally, casting strong wings (probably through a wand) can increase your maneuverability by one step and your speed by 10 feet for 1 minute/level.

Other than that, you'll just need to boost your fly bonus.

Where is Graceful Flyer? I did a search and come up empty.

Strong Wings is interesting to look at...

Yes. Race BUILDER. Which only comes up when building races.

This is a published race. Might have gone through the race builder, but it still has stats, bestiary block, etc. Heck, even an alternate trait from inner seas races (which does in fact improve their maneuverability, as has been noted).

So overall, the race itself is set in stone as official, although it is a side thing. The use of the race builder is mostly for GMs to make races for home games. It is even more of a house rule for you to use it yourself to dummy out parts of a race you don't like.

I am not sure of your intentions with your reply. I hope I am not reading it right, because it seems like you are reprimanding me for asking.
