As I pack to head home from GenCon, I wanted to say thank you to the PACG people for making it another success. Tanis, Mike, Vic, Liz, Gaby, Keith and many other Paizo and Lone Shark people that put in a ton of hours and made GenCon fun for the attendees that play the game we love. And to Micah and Pirate Rob and so many others for volunteering their time to help marshal, administer, run, and demo the game both in the Sagamore Ballroom and downstairs in the exhibit hall. I know the hours they spent at those tables, smiling and helping people play. And the support people getting water for them and making sure everything was covered.

And an additional thanks to Tanis and Keith for working so hard on the Open to get that off the ground. They were both very, very busy and it payed off.

It was great to meet so many other VOs and connect names to faces. I hope to see you all again next year.

Thanks to everyone that helped GenCon remain a successful venue for the PACG for the many, many people that come play and demo the game yet don't realize the amount of work it takes to pull it off.

ps-Avoid the con crud!

Here, here! The Paizo room (Sagamore.. how much better named could it be...) was hopping every time we were there or walked past it. Total blast. Thanks guys!

It was a great deal of fun.

The demo at the dealer hall was extremely well designed and highlighted the unique aspects of Wrath.

And it was extremely rewarding to be able to run a demo for some extremely enthusiastic newcomers, then to later join them for a Guild scenario while playing Arushalae ;)

So I never asked for Board names so I have no clue who I met... ;)

Edit: I was the VL in the Green Shirt mostly in the Demo area.

I only managed to stop by to play the ACG once (on Saturday night) (because they stopped playing at by 6pm and I was playing other games on the other days) but my group loved being able to demo the new class decks! :D

Yarr!

Silver Crusade

I'll say the same thing. Thanks everyone for helping out. Even though I didn't play a single game of cards while I was there, I think everything went great and feel like it was a great success. I'm glad I got to put some names together with some faces.

Special thanks to our demo volunteers—especially those who stuck around after their shifts ended on Sunday to make sure we were fully covered! I'd estimate that in the neighborhood of 1200 people got to try out the PACG this weekend thanks to you!

Hey, and I wanted to thank the Paizo and Lone Shark crew that helped sign some special souvenirs for Hawkmoon and Andrew Klein.

Pic 1 and 2

They both got their care packages so it's not a surprise anymore.

Hawkmoon and Andrew Klein definitely deserve those given the amount of time they have put into these boards.

I still don't believe that Hawkmoon is human. I firmly believe that Paizo has become the first company in the world to create a fully formed AI. The Hawkmoon AI is so advanced that it grades other AIs in the Turing Test.

We should have that option for our badges. Next year you should join Scribbling Rambler, Cosmo, Tim Hitchcock and I for some Werewolf.

And this is Noel from the past seven years.

By this time next year I hope we can discuss how amazing The Force Awakens was Vic.

Yeah, last minute I had a thought to somehow put my board alias on my badge. But it was too late to do it nicely. Next year.

Yup, it will make Myfly very jealous. LOL

Some time we will have to get a picture of him up. IRL he looks a bit like Tom Vasel without the glasses and beard.

Although I realize in saying this that it will encourage your theory, as the first thing a board / card game AI would do in creating their cybernetic form would be to make themselves look like one of the most well-known fans in boardgamedom.

Maybe Hawkmoon is Tom Vasel and he just adds the glasses and beard for a bit of cover! I mean, have you ever seen the two of them in the same room at the same time?

Uh oh. It appears that the Hawkmoon AI has advanced to it's next stage of evolution:
