Help me make a catfolk ninja scout with claws.

Advice

I am starting out at level 8. What feats and in what order do I take them to take the catfolk pounce feat at level 14?

Grand Lodge

Point buy?

yes 25points

The only feat you need for claw pounce is nimble striker. So your build is pretty flexible.

I was considering a ninja/brawler(snakebite striker), though if I did this character I would probably wait for unchained on wednesday and use rogue if ninja doesn't get converted.

If you can wait for unchained it might totally change the character.

The build counts on the GM agreeing that cat claws are close weapons and then gets you brawler's flurry with the claws.

do i need the two weapon fighting feat for the claw blades?

You might as well grab lunge. Since nimble striker is a prerequisite, it removes the penalties entirely. So enjoy the longer reach until you can pounce (and it helps when you can't get a charge lane too, I suppose)

A- By level 14, it is not too hard to get the requisites for feral combat training (that needs a bit of fiating too to work with brawler's flurry, but much less so; also, you could just dip sohei monk instead and go with anything up to mithral breast plate)

B- No need. There is a reason why the claw blades, an item released at the same time as cat folk, goes out of its way to continue to call the claws the word 'claws', instead of simply making the claw blades light weapons themselves. The entire point of them is to allow you to use claw pounce with a 'light weapon'.

So that means normal iteratives, enhancement, and TWF.

So that might be a set of feats to look into. EDIT- yes, it turns your claws into light weapons, for both good (iteratives, ability to enhance the blades to improve your attacks instead of using AoMF) and the bad (need to use TWF)

Starting at level 8 I'd say brawler (snakebite striker)1/ ninja(scout)7. 5th level feat Dragon Style for charging over difficult terrain. Pick up Nimble Striker anywhere you have a free feat slot, though having it already when you start play means not having to worry about it later when going for Claw Pounce. Going 5 more levels of Ninja from there means at 13th level you qualify to take Claw Pounce.

As for stats, with a 25 point buy I'd go something like
Str 16, Dex 13+2, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 12-2, Cha 14+2 putting all level-ups in to Str.

As an aside, I would definitely grab Iron Will and possibly Improved Iron Will.

I too, suggest Feral Combat Training/Dragon Style.

Absolutely if you wear them on more than one claw, the claw blades change natural attacks into manufactured weapons.

If you have two claws, you could wear one set of claw blades and leave the second claw as a natural attack to be used after your full attack action (multiple attacks from your BAB with the claw blade) at -5.

If you are going with regular TWF feats, I would go with something like this:

STR: 16 DEX: 16 (14) CON: 14 INT: 10 WIS: 10 (12) CHA: 15 (13)

The dex is there so you can qualify for TWF feats, and then promptly forget about that stat. Add your 4th or 8th level ability score adjustment to dex so you can get Improved TWF. Then you have all taht you need for the TWF feats that matter for you (greater TWF gives a BAB-12 attack and it is questionable on a full BAB character with even more attack bonuses; it never matters for ninjas)

Anyway, after that, just focus on strength. I suggest going with this path since dex to damage for TWF is rather costsly, so just use the path that takes less resources (feats and/or money).
