My group's new shaman class

Homebrew and House Rules

Me: I have been playing TTRPGs for more than 40 years. I retired from the US Navy. Afterward, I completed a BS in CIS with a major in Cybersecurity and a minor in software development. I now work in the IT field.

One of my gaming groups has a pair of published authors. One is a major contributor to Modiphius Entertainment's Star Trek Adventures. The other is a novelist with contributions to multiple Green Ronin, White Wolf, and CCP projects. His work includes significant contributions to the Song of Ice and Fire RPG. Once complete, I plan on asking both individuals to proofread my work and possibly act as editors.

I am creating a shaman class for Pathfinder 2e. The reason for the class creation is based on specific flavors and thematics a druid or witch cannot fill. NPC shaman will fill a tribal role where needed. The NPC class will be found on islands and in the Mwangi Expanse. The class vision is based on Native Americans, Native Pacific Islanders, and indigenous people of Brazil's Amazon.

My players in a 2nd group, have asked me to turn the shaman into a playable class. This has turned my project into something much larger. It has also forced me to expand on the class's 3 paths: medicine shaman (think medicine man/woman), spirit guide, and, skinwalker; this section is complete

All spell slots, starting skills, skill improvements, feats, and stat increases will be mapped out from level 1 to 20; this section is complete

Class feats for all three paths will have a complete description. This will include the appropriate game mechanics. This is 90% complete.

The project is sitting at 16 pages. It will require at least 2 more pages to flush out class-specific details. There may also be a page or two added after a rule review and technical clarification. Of course, there will be a significant number of grammar changes.

If there is interest in any of the above items I will continue to update this thread until the project is complete.

Thank you, Paizo for making things like this possible.
