Free RPGA mod VS ACG Play Test Document

Risen from the Sands (Free RPGA day) vs the ACG play test document -

Risen from the Sands introduces 4 of the classes coming out in the ACG. The Bloodrager, Investigator, Swashbuckler, and WarPriest.

My question for the PFS -
I'm expecting to see some differences in these 4 classes in the module when compared to the play test document. How is PFS going to handle these differences?

Looks like a typo in your title (RPGA) makes it sound like it's about a WotC thing.

I don't know for sure about the Free RPG Day Scenario, but if it's anything like past modules you'll be able to use the pregens inside or one of PFS pregens or your own character of an appropriate level.

The changes from playtest to module will be used for the pregens, but not for other PC's.

Risen from the Sands includes pregenerated characters, not the full rules for those classes. For that module (only) you may use the characters and mechanics as presented on the pregen sheets.

Pregens included with a Free RPG Day module are legal for that scenario only.

Think I wasn't clear, plus there might actually be no significant change.

I understand the classes in the RPG Day Scenario are pre-gen. What do we do if those pre-gen rules for the classes are in conflict with the ACG playtests rules?

Just tossed this out as I'm expecting to see some changes from the ACG playtest document and wondering how this would effect people playing these classes.
Do they keep using the playtest document or do they convert to changes that are shown in the pre-gen characters once the RPG Day Scenario comes out?

You won't convert your characters until the actual ACG book is released. If it's anything like previous modules, the pregenerated characters will include all new rules required to run them, so they shouldn't have any effect on other PFS characters of their class.

Now, I can definitely imagine a scenario where there is a Bloodrager level 1 pregen and a Bloodrager level 1 player-made character playing in the same scenario, and in that case, each player will have to use the rules laid out by their own version of the class. If Bloodrage is written differently for the pregen, the pregen player must use that version of the class feature, and the player-generated character must use the playtest version.

Pregens use the rules on the pregens sheet.

ACG Playtest characters will still follow the rules laid out in the additional resource page.

Since we can't be clear on whether a change on the Risen From the Sands pregens is actually a change or an error. When playing the included Pregens in the Free RPG Day module follow the rules as printed on the pre-gen sheet.

The rules included with those pregens do not affect any characters currently using the ACG playtest. Unless Mike or John includes an update to the additional resources page or the FAQ.

Is there any info yet on when the ACG will finally be released? I haven't been this excited for a book since... well, since my 3.5 days. I love the classes and I am dying for some archetypes and feats for them.

Thanks, was wondering how that would be handled.

Was just thinking about what would happen, sitting down at a PFS table with someone using one of those classes from the ACG playtest rules and someone else say "That's not how I saw the class played on the free RPG day."

It has been stated for awhile that it will be Paizo's GenCon hardcover release. So, August 14th, as that is the first day of GenCon this year.
