Animated Crossbow = turret?

today I got this total crazy idea of an crossbow turret for my dwarf.

I think of an animated crossbow.
If I'm understanding the construct creation rules correct but here's my concept:

Animated Crossbow
Small animated object
Modifications:
+6 Dex (15000 gp)
+1 HD (CR +1)
Ranged Attacks (2 CP = CR+1)
Extra Attack (1 CP)

HD: 3d10+10
AC 14
Speed 30 ft. (yes it can move!)
Attack: 2x +6 (maybe 7 if mw item is used?)
Damage: 1d6+3 (Base construct damage, Range 20 ft.)

or

Animated Weapon Platform (Drone)
Small animated object
Modifications:
+6 Dex (15000 gp)
+1 HD (CR +1)
Additional Movement (fly 1 CP)

HD: 3d10+10
AC 14
Speed 30 ft. (fly)
Attack +7
Damage 1d8 or 1d10 (based on the type of crossbow)

What do you think?


I would go with the Animate Object rules as a guideline. The base object is nonrelevant for its abilities. It can look like a bucket but it can have a range attack via CP.

We use a small animated object because it should flavor a crossbow.
Size: small , HD 2d10+10, CP 1, CR2
Str 10, Dex 12, Con —, Int —, Wis 1, Cha 1
Attack: BAB +2 ,+0(Str) ,+1(size) = +3 , 1D4

+6 Dex (15000 gp)
+1 HD (CR +1)
Ranged Attacks (2 CP = CR+1)
Extra Attack (1 CP)

We end up with this

Size: small , HD 3d10+10, CP 1, CR4
Str 10, Dex 18, Con —, Int —, Wis 1, Cha 1
Melee Attack: BAB +4 ,+0(Str) ,+1(size) = +5 , 1D4
Range Attack: BAB +4 ,+4(Dex) ,+1(size) = +9 , 1D4
You have one melee and range attack.

The prize should be (CR x CR x 500gp)+15000 = 21000gp
