Need help finding a miniature for a male human / elven / half-elven Rogue

Advice

Hello all,

I'm trying to find a miniature for my (male) Rogue. It should look something like that (doesn't have to look exactly like the picture, of course - but at least the hood and the partial facecover should be included; I don't mind if it looks like a human, elf or half-elf; rapier/crossbow optional - can be a Ranger, Assassin, Thief, Rogue...) - here's a sample how it should look like

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Shed

Paint it yourself, or are you looking for a pre-painted plastic fig?

a few years ago i got over 20 for les then a doler via ebay. try there.

@Bradley: I don't care if it's painted or not.

@zza ni: Unfortunately so far I haven't found a miniature that looks like that. I found some at Reaper, but they are not quite what I'm looking for. Although I found some pictures of some miniatures that looked quite good - unfortunately so far those were custom made from different parts...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

www.heroforge.com $15 or $25 gets you a custom mini that you have huge amounts of control over. I bet you could get one VERY similar to that.

Perhaps this.
If it is prepainted the colors are wrong. And if has no hood/mask.

You might check out https://www.heroforge.com/ then, if you want to do a little customizing to him. Or Reaper's figure finder (https://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/03062).

I'm checking a couple sites for prepainted miniatures.

Played around in Hero Forge for a couple minutes.

Here's a picture

Here's the editor so you can change it

Nothing 5 minutes and some greenstuff can't fix.

Oh, Hero Forge! Well, that sounds quite promising!
Thanks for the tip, MeanMutton and Bradley! And also thank you for the sample, Mean!
Regarding the Reaper one - that's what I found already. It may be an option though, if I don't find anything else.

@Just a Guess: Looks good, thank you - except the colors of course.

@Edymnion: You're right of course. But I'd prefer to find a miniature that hopefully looks somewhat like what I'm looking for so that I would have to fix as little as possible.

Just a bit of reference for those that normally dont like conversions but dont mind painting, Reapers new bones line is amazing for customization. Plastic is soooo much easier to convert then metal. I wanted a natural weapon human ranger, and it took about 30 seconds to take a harpy's claws and glue them onto a 2 weapon fighting warrior with a bow (valeros' bones pathfinder iconic). Weapon swaps are literally trivial with that plastic, and if you are careful you dont even need to green stuff gaps.

Note that at that scale, the face covering should be doable with paint...lay it on a little thick to simulate cloth obscuring the details.

BLACKJACK!!!

Thanks for the feedback again, guys!
Blackjack, yeah, that also would be an option - I thought about that already. ; )

But I played around with Hero Forge yesterday and was impressed - the model looks almost exactly like what I was looking for. And since I only need one or maybe two miniatures, I'll be willing to spend 40 $ on it...
