I'm curious about how people have liked latest starfinder season so far :O

I really do like the "three story arcs for tier 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12" idea, it also does help to have "breather seasons" where it doesn't feel like world is about to end each year or that starfinder society is just on constant crisis all the time. I do kinda wonder though if any of three story arcs tie up with Four for the First voting scenario's description of Ehu's aim though... I get though that First Seeker vote wasn't specifically about plot arcs and more about spirit of the year though(of focusing more on exploration), but I do think it would have been fun if one of the story arcs was specifically about the idea of discovering past leads and continuing to follow up on that. Though I guess Fleeting Truth might be that since its follow up to the "In Pursuit of the Scoured Past" scenario. Still though, I do like them overall, though I do have individual comments on story arcs.

I've been pretty disappointed that none of story arcs follow up on Ehu's Four for the First scenario's discovery in the library because that plot hook about cover up was really cool :'D Frozen Ambitions scenario seems to be most "episodic" of story arcs with plots being connected only by Shimmerstone(and being being set in Veskarium of course), Vast Experiment is pretty linear story about building up new starship(with each scenario being recruiting or gaining different help to build it) for society and Fleeting Truth is high level trilogy. I haven't had luck to get to experience most of them myself because I'm kinda stuck in gm chair lately, but as said earlier, I do like them all overall x'D

I'm also bit confused about how first seeker vote works, like is this going to be yearly thing now? Luwasi and Jadnura got basically 2-3 years to use their faction, so I'm bit worried that if first seekers are going to be yearly now, you need to play with same character a lot to get the higher reputation faction rewards unlocked with them :'D That and bit hard to get used to first seeker if they change yearly now.

We haven't seen the final scenario for Fleeting Truth, so who knows, maybe the big reveal about the data that high-level characters have been hunting all season will revolve around the Hidden Colony Cover Up that Ehu Hadif was talking about!

Bonus points if it also ties in to

3-00, 1-38, Fleeting Truth spoilers:
that weird heavily augmented fallen Starfinder we fought while escaping Datch's base? We know the Fleeting Truth data is about "Singularitism," likely to do with advanced AI...that could relate to the incredibly advanced tech that that elf was packing. Heck, it could even tie in to Historia Prime, who we know is still hanging in the breeze somewhere, and is all about hidden data!

I'm also very curious about how future First Seeker elections will take place! It's not the kind of thing that happens by surprise - there's blog posts, notifications to new First Seekers candidates, etc. We haven't heard of anything happening so far IRL, so presumably the earliest it could happen would be a scenario in Season 4 like 2-07, and then we'll get a new First Seeker in Season 5? Man, just thinking about it gets me hyped again :) Season 2 was awesome.

The last thing I wanted to comment on for Season 3, at the risk of beating on a dead horse: it's kind of a bummer that there's no boons or acknowledgements for a Character playing through an entire story arc. It would have been cool to see a sort of (less powerful) Capstone boon for those who played through an arc in 3-15 and 3-16, like you often see on Chronicle Sheets for the final book in an AP.

...and I just realized that 3-15 and 3-16 aren't the ends of those arcs :D Whoops.
Looks like that Missing Colony may come back into play after all...

I mean, could be? Bit hard to say if drift beacon dealio is unrelated thing or not since both are vast related but on otherhand I don't think plot line has played up that plot hook much

But yeah, if voting takes place in next seasion, but each first seeker essentially has two whole seasons to them, that could work great yeah.

I think that's been the biggest criticism of these arcs—not knowing how many episodes each entails ahead of time.

But I think the Boons will be available later this year when Starfinder transitions to AcP.

I've been feeling 'disjointed' and 'disconnected' from a 'main story' because the only 'story' arc I've been able to follow is Frozen Ambitions (due to a combination of scheduling, character levels, personal health, etc).

And I'm getting an increasing sinking feeling that it's going to be like Season 0-1, where once the 'cool kids' that got to play through things on the first run the scenarios are rarely if ever seen or heard from again.

Now, this may just be overly pessimistic, but hopefully there will be a resurgence of the 'mid-high tier' of S0-1 scenarios for those of us that have many characters to 'feed' experience to and not nearly enough fires to throw them at. :P

Being able to potentially *finish* Frozen Ambitions in the season it is in is a massive Boon, though.

It took a while for SFS to gain traction in my local area, so my third-ever scenario was The Scoured Stars Invasion at a mini-con. There's still a decent amount of Season 1 that I haven't played yet, but our group is now running the Scoured Stars-related stuff with the intent to have everyone who is even newer than I am to get a chance to play that special with more advance preparation. And I've started to read through some of the other lower-level S1 stuff that I (and others) missed out on to help me gain more GM experience, and work my way up through higher-level stuff.
