Blakros Matrimony Question

The scenario says most of the demons are dretches, quasits and babaus and that they focus on NPCs. I don't see where it says how many demons of each type there are, except in subtier 6-7, there are 3 babaus. Do the PCs only deal with the possessed Alistair aka Arastrax demon?

This is my first time running a face-to-face game. I've played the scenario, but am very nervous.

Also, our time slot at the store is 4 hours. The manager isn't strict about closing time, but I'm seeing people say this scenario can take 6 hours due to the role-playing. Is there a good way to keep that moving?

I found the GM aides that people have made for this scenario and think they'll be very helpful. Thanks!

The other demons (dretches, quasits, and babaus) that say they focus on the NPCs are "background baddies" ie they're fighting at the same time as your guys, but your players don't affect them and they don't affect your players. You simply tell your players that the bad guys on the map (Arastrax plus the other baddies that are listed in the encounter) are focusing on the players and the players need to focus on them. It makes the fight a little abstract, but they should be able to roll with it.

Many PFS scenarios have similar situations where your group only has to focus on the bad guys listed, but need to realize that everyone in the area is doing pretty much the same thing as you with their own bad guys.

Did I describe that well enough?

As for timing things... Some like to run it like a combat, giving each player an equal amount of time, and going in turns. You just need to be conscious that while you only have two fights, you also need to keep the roleplaying flowing quickly too. Don't skimp too much on the Roleplaying, as that can be the best part of the scenario.

Thank you.

Okay So I am running this adventure for my seventeen year old son and his Friends (20-17)My sons is playing a wizard and brought his pig familiar While talking to Alden (the curate of the Blakros) Museum) Alden pointed out he had brought his pig stating you have brought your porcine was that appropriate,. both my sons character and another players character took offense (the were not aware porcine meant pig)it culminated in DJ (not my son) saying speaking of Pigs where is your wife? U dod not want to give too much of the module away but I am little unsure of how to proceed.
I have three choices
A. Makes this a big deal and have strongly effect everything
B. Make the players squirm since Aldin and his wife do not get along just milk it
C. Restart from the ship and give them a chance to rethink their tatcis

there are three others players who are new
Both players consider themselves great roleplayers and believe that
a high charisma is a way to say whatever you want as long as you get a good roll

They are good roleplayers and generally are fun but this trend is annoying they both have been players for at least five years

what do you think

In my opinion, RP can give circumstance modifiers to the roll. If you expect to be friendly with someone and call their wife a pig... -20. Maybe -10 if they don't like their wife too much. Point is, it's hard to insult someone like that and make light of it.

In other words, the roll is to make sure you don't come off like a jerk. If they do so without the roll, so be it.
