Unnatural Presence and Swarms

Rules Questions

The Unnatural Presence trait allows Vermin to be Intimidated.

Would it allow you to intimidate a Swarm since they count as one creature?

Bump?

"A swarm is immune to any spell or effect that targets a specific number of creatures."

Intimidate is an effect that targets a specific number of creatures (i.e. one).

So, no, you cannot intimidate swarms with Unnatural Presence.

I would say Mplindustries is correct about Unnatural Presence. However, if you had the Unnatural Aura, then I believe it would affect swarms as well. I was not aware until very recently there was a trait called Unnatural Presence. I was confusing said trait with the monster/eidolon ability.

Unnatural Aura (Su)

An eidolon is obviously of unnatural origin. Normal animals do not willingly approach the eidolon unless the animal’s master makes a DC 25 Handle Animal, Ride, or wild empathy check. Source: Ultimate Magic

You are correct that a swarm of rats or bats or some other animal would not approach an Eidolon with an Unnatural Aura. However, the majority of swarms are Vermin, and thus would be unaffected anyway.
