Modiphius, publishers of Achtung! Cthulhu, have launched their Achtung! Cthulhu kickstarter. This kickstarter is all about the Investigator's Guide and the Keeper's Guide to their Achtung! Cthulhu setting.
So, if you've ever wanted to bring the horrors of the Cthulhu Mythos into a World War II setting, then you might want to take a look at the kickstarter.

If you haven't checked out the Kickstarter for Achtung! Cthulhu, I suggest you do so ASAP. Not only have full color versions of the two main books (Investigator's Guide and Keeper's Guide) been unlocked, the Guide to the Eastern Front AND the first two installments of the Shadows of Atlantis campaign have also been unlocked.
That's not all, though. New stretch goals have been announced, among them another campaign named Asssault on the Mountains of Madness. I'll just let that title sink in...
Disturbingly coo, right?
Here's what we get so far:
- Investigator's Guide to the Secret War (enhanced, in full-color, and with Savage Worlds and Realms of Cthulhu support)
- Keeper's Guide to the Secret War (enhanced, in full-color, and with Savage Worlds and Realms of Cthulhu support)
- Guide to the Eastern Front
- Shadows of Atlantis Parts I & II (Achtung! Cthulhu campaign)

My fear is that the ambition of this Kickstarter has far far outstripped its ability to be delivered in anything even closely resembling a timely manner. Especially given that the estimated delivery is August 2013. Six months for a crap-ton of sourcebooks and over 600 pages of adventure? I'm sorry, but it's not gonna happen by August. I doubt the ability to have it fully delivered on by August 2014.
I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but one of the biggest problems with RPG Kickstarter projects is that many of them give delivery estimates that are extreme best-case scenarios, and then they keep on piling on add-ons and stretch goals that make the delivery absolutely impossible to achieve even if everything goes absolutely smoothly.

My concerns in that regard has been somewhat lessened by Chris Birch's explanation that much of the material is already written and that they have different teams working on the books. Also, it's my understanding that the August 2013 estimated delivery refers to the PDFs of the two core books (Investigator's Guide and Keeper's Guide). The actual print copies will be ready a couple of months later with the rest of the books being relased incrementally.
That said, yes it's absolutely a massive volume of Cthulhu goodness that's been unlocked and it is going to be interesting to follow the development, including delays and such. I'm optimistic.
