Searching by "Users" not working correctly.

Website Feedback

So, if I use the search feature in the sidebar and select "Users" in the drop-down, or, when re-directed to the search page and choose the "Users" tab, it doesn't actually display the users I'm looking for.

This, specifically, has happened for "Steel_Wind" and "Duskblade"

It returns results, but it doesn't actually return the user I'm looking for, which is goofy:

Kinda funky. Using the proper case as they have their display names set (Steel_Wind vs. steel_wind or Duskblade vs. duskblade) makes no difference.

Aaaand, hey, here's a fun tidbit:

The reason I discovered this? Posts are kinda disappearing - i.e. you click on a post, and it takes you to the sub-forum where that post was made, not the actual post.

The only reason I can read this is because I go to my profile (or another user's profile) and reply from there.

The search function for users is working correctly, however, unless the person or alias has actually created a profile, they don't show up in the Users search.

About the posts disappearing, is it recent posts only? How are you navigating to the disappearing posts?

So, I have to reply to my post to see your post and reply to it, soooo...

Your first question: That is incredibly unhandy from the standpoint of wanting to find a post someone without a profile wrote. Is there a way you can do something that creates an empty placeholder profile, so that we can search by username for those multitudes of people?

As far as disappearing posts, this is one of them. I can't click on the title or replies. I have to go into my profile/recent posts, find my reply, and reply to it.

Same thing for the thread Duskblade made talking about taking back his turn, where someone referenced SGG's Time Thief - I had to find his not-a-profile (I manually entered "http://paizo.com/people/Duskblade" to get there) and then went to his recent posts, and then clicked "Reply" to his latest, and that allowed me to scroll up and read the thread.

This particular post is exhibiting the same behavior - it disappeared from the list of posts in the forum until I replied to it in the fashion I described.

And only appears to be happening in Chrome?

Just started today for me, noticed it this evening.

I can't replicate in Firefox or IE. Restarted Chrome, no change. I'll try restarting the PC.

Hrmm - haven't restarted, but it works now - as does the other post I referenced.

Thanks!!
