When, where, and why was this nerfed/errata'd?
I recall for months having d20pfsrd inexplicably with the ability removed w/o any reference as to why, but the PRD entry still having it. Now neither do.

All I see is JJ's "easy fix" suggestion of removing it. Which is both draconian and...totally not official. So...what happened here? What blog/FAQ/errata entry did I miss?

I would assume it was removed from the spells because actual earth elementals don't have the push ability. They lack it in my first printing Bestiary.
Therefore, there is no reference to tell you what attack the push would go with or how far they push. It's easiest to assume it's inclusion in the elemental body spells was a typo.
Yes, I realize that was a problem. But still, where is the errata where it was actually removed?
Removing it is certainly easy. You could strip all sorts of things straight out of the game and make it "simpler." Doesn't make it best, though. They could've just ruled it how my DM did -- 5 ft push for small/medium, 10 ft for large, 15 for Huge. Or it could've given bull rush feats like the actual elementals have.

I guess I'm not sure what you actually want to happen. The ability being there was a typo. It's as if using alter self to turn into an orc listed that you gained an orc's darkvision and breath weapon. Orcs don't have a breath weapopn, and it wouldn't be at all wrong just to remove the incorrect text. Earth elementals don't have push. If your GM wants to make up rules about it, and you're all having fun, go for it.
The removal probably should be in an errata document, I concede that.
So I take it then that it is not mentioned anywhere?
That's a very odd case, then. Even if it was a typo, such errors are usually at least addressed somewhere before they go rewriting the PRD...
