Temple of Pelor in the Free City of Greyhawk. Late evening of the 3rd Godsday of Harvester 595 cy:

A scream breaks the silence of the night. Candles are lit and two middle aged women dressed in robes that mark them as Sisters of Light come hurrying down a narrow hallway. They stop before a unremarkable door and exchanged worried looks. One says to the other, "this is the 3rd in a week.' The other nods and murmurs a short prayer, "Blessed father of light, please spare Sapphire."
Opening the door they are met with an now-all too familiar sight, a young women suspended in the air above her bed, her back arched, arms outstretched, her head back in a now silent cry. Her open eyes have become pools of gold, her hair has become as flame, and trails of light race beneath her skin.
One woman says to the other, "I will summon the prelate." To which the other woman can only nod, while the first hurries off.
A short while later the first woman returns, with an elderly man right behind her. He looks in the room and then begins to pray. The words he speaks have a melodic ring to them, for they are they the speech of angels. "Shia lucia, whi haila anen fine etsa cine".

Spoiler:
(Pelor, may your touch be light upon this young one).

He Then walks over to the young lady, and places his hand upon her. At his touch, her back straightens, her eyes close and she sinks to the bed. Her hair no longer appears to be on fire, but has become a reddish golden color and the light beneath her skin fades. To all appearances she is asleep.
Turning to the women, he says, "a third sun-touched? Let us hope that unlike the others she is strong enough to let us know what Pelor is trying to tell us. But only the dawn will reveal it, as we say. I have done all I can for her." Indeed, as he walks out of the room he looks five years older. "Please inform me when her conditions changes."

Temple of Pelor in the Free City of Greyhawk. Late morning of the 3rd Earthday of Harvester 595 cy:

The prelate of Pelor frowned, 'perhaps I shouldn't be so judgmental' he thinks after reading the scroll in his hand, 'after all Pelor is the God of new beginnings. But this one has caused so much trouble.' A knock at his door ends his train of thought. "Come in' he announces.
The door opens and a woman's head pops in. The prelate smiles and says, "Ah sister Heather, come to give me news about our young Sapphire, I trust?"
"Well prelate", says the woman, "I thought that I'd let her give you the news herself." The woman then opens the door and enters, followed by the young woman from the room. "Greetings prelate, I have come to thank you for your help, I fear the touch of the Sun-father was almost more than I could bear. But I have also come to share what our blessed Pelor had revealed to me."
"Indeed" the says the prelate, " I believed that Pelor was attempting to do something with you, and now seeing you I am sure of it. Please sit Sapphire, sister Heather I thank you for bringing her to me, but I must discuss things privately with her for now."
"Of course prelate," says the other woman who bows before leaving.
"Now, first let me say how delighted I am to see that you were able to pull through, Sapphire, "says the prelate. "I trust that whatever Pelor has revealed to you must be of importance for him to risk reaching out to you in such a direct fashion."
"I wish things were more clear prelate, " begins Sapphire "like my eyesight has become, for although my world has narrowed, what I can see is no longer impeded by darkness. The dreams that I have had are," as she freezes in mid sentence her eyes flare and her skin seems to illuminate. In a more husky voice she says:

An ancient darkness will come,
In order to bring about the end
It will extinguish the sun

To defeat a lesser evil in the north
The cambions right hand that was split
Must strive to redeem and seek to strike forth

Three from the temple shall go
Seek for the Mad Gods Key
In the old, the new will show

Sapphire freezes again, and returns to normal, except for her eyes which remain pools of gold. She inhales deeply and then, as if nothing had happened continues, "quite dark, and full of writhing shapes. I hear words I do not understand. Does this make any sense to you prelate?"
The prelate looks at Sapphire and says, "my dear it would appear that you have become a mouthpiece for Pelor, an oracle some call them. They are exceedingly rare, the last one who spoke for Pelor was over a hundred years ago. It is said that they are only created when light is fading but not lost, and they stand outside of the church."
As Sapphire digests what she was just told, the prelate pulls out three pieces of parchment. On the first two, he writes something, folds them shut and seals them with wax. He then writes something briefly on the outside. He then rings a bell on his desk. A you man enters the office and says, "what can I do for you prelate?"
The prelate responds, "take these to the person they're addressed to in all haste, Sampson. Thank you." As the young man gathers the letters, the prelate says, "and have a listing of the locksmiths in the city brought to me."
The young man acknowledges the request and swiftly leaves. Then the prelate writes the words that were just spoken down, so he doesn't forget them. He looks up at Sapphire and says, "tell me have you eaten yet today?"

Luciano and Thomas, you both recieve a letter requesting your presence at the prelate of Pelor's office ASAP

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Luciano recieves the letter and heads toward the temple. As he approaches he mutters a prayer to himself, as much to block out the stares of the passerbys as to soothe his soul.
"Divine Pelor, forgive my unclean presence in this house of Your Blessed Light."
He then enters and heads to the prelate's office, secretly enjoying some of the shocked stares from temple staff.

male Human Paladin 1

As Thomas is sitting in the main room of the inn, he is surprised as a messenger hurries in and hands him a letter. Scanning it, he quickly finishes his breakfast and heads towards the temple. He enters and heads towards the prelates office while looking around the temple and greeting the staff with a smile and good morning.

Male Dwarf Ranger 4/Wizard 5/Temple Raider 6

As you arrive at the prelates office, you are shown in, although perhaps with a bit of reluctance in the case of Luciano.
When you step in, you look around at a comfortably appointed office, although it is not lavish. A human male, perhaps in his 60's, balding but with clear blue eyes that bespeak of great wisdom sits behind a desk, and although you've never met him in person, you know this is the prelate of the Church of Pelor in the city of Greyhawk.
Your eyes also take in what you first believe to be a little girl, dressed in the robes of a initiate. But upon second glance you realize that it's a halfling, a halfling with most unusual eyes.
"Luciano, Thomas, I thank you for being so prompt", says the prelate. "Allow me to introduce Sapphire, a sister of the faith, with a most unusual story.' He points to some chairs. "Please have a seat and we shall delve into this little mystery. Would you like anything to drink?"

Luciano takes a seat by the wall.
"I do not enter this holy place lightly. I imagine her story must be intriguing to have called me here. I would like some wine to help he digest it."

Male Hafling Monk 1

"Hello to you two, and yes Pelor is using me at the present time. Well I will let the Prelate tell you...sorry. Could I have some wine too, please? And maybe some cheese?" She just sits there quietly and swings her feet back and forth(hopefully eating cheese and drinking wine) with a smile on her face.

male Human Paladin 1

Thomas pulled up a chair and glanced at the man next to him, quickly looking him up and down at his features and clothes, then he thought I wonder if i'll have the pleasure of working with these two, a paladin of my rank does not get called upon unless needed, somewhat joking with himself. Turning back to the prelate he said, "No i'm fine, thank you for offering though. So what is the mystery behind the little one?"

Male Hafling Monk 1

Raised eyebrow at "Little one" Thinking...dumb pretty boy is probably younger than me.

Male Dwarf Ranger 4/Wizard 5/Temple Raider 6

"Two days ago, you would have been correct with your statement, Thomas, but fortunately that mystery has been solved. Gentlemen, the small lady before you is an oracle." Seeing the blank stares, the prelate continues, "you may be forgiven for your ignorance because the creation of an oracle is an extremely rare event. Only when an time of great evil is upon us, does Pelor, or one of his proxies choose to speak directly to us mortals. An oracle is the mouthpiece that they speak through."
The prelate allows his last words to sink in before continuing. " There will be times when she looses control of herself, at those times you may hear prophecy. Heed those words well! For by them shall your path be illuminated."
There's a knock at the door and a woman enters, bearing a tray of cheese, fruit and bread, as well as two carafes and 4 goblets. She sets the tray on the desk and then withdraws. The prelate motions towards the food, "please, help yourselves."
"Now where was I, ah yes, her condition. An oracle is a very rare thing as I was saying and a very precious thing, Thomas, she is commended to your care. Of course as usual, the church's resources are spread too thin. So at this moment, there is little more I can spare, however I will expect regular reports. You will also have Luciano here with you, for no doubt your path will take you into dark places, and he is intimately familiar with such places. You may also find those of good heart to aid you along the way"
He hands forth a piece of parchment, "This is her last prophecy, were that I had more time and could aid you more in this endeavor. However, I have an appointment with the Lord Mayor in half an hour, so you'll have to excuse me."
At that moment the door opens and the man outside politely coughs. "Your eminence, the meeting with the Lord Mayor is shortly" he says.
"Fear not Sampson, I shall make it" says the prelate. "Well my dear" he says as he come over an shakes Sapphires hand "an oracle, I never thought to see one in my time. I fear this is both a blessing and a curse." He straightens up and looks solemnly at both Thomas and Luciano in turn "gentlemen" he says, "greatness is very rarely thrust upon us when we would choose. For now, your paths are intertwined, the failure of one is the failure of all. I pray that the Lord of Illumination shall be as a lamp to your feet. But remember the treasure you have with you."
"Now I must bid you farewell, her words are a mystery you must decipher yourselves. But remember, use what resources you have and be weary yet not afraid of those whom you shall meet on your path, for although the gloom is gathering the light has not yet been extinguished."

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Luciano turns his piercing gaze on the two of you. The yellow pupils analyze you both before he speaks.
"Already do I recognize some of these line. The second verse refers to the Cambion Lord, Iuz, and I fear that the right hand may be me as I once served him. It is not the first time that I have been the subject prophesy and I dislike the prospect.
I am Luciano, often called the Thrice-Damned. Well met the two of you."
Turning to the halfling, "I pity you, for the voice of the gods is a terrible burden. Whatever fate has in store, I pray you gain the strength to bare it."
Turning to the paladin, "I know of you by reputation. They say you are a warrior of virtue. I knew a great paladin once. It is my hope that our association bares fairer destiny for you than it did for her."

Male Human Inquisitor 1

"We should seek to understand the meaning of the Mad God's Key, unless one of you already knows."

male Human Paladin 1

Thomas listened closely, and looked at the halfling and gave a mental groan when the prelate said she was commended to his care. When he finished he returned Luciano's gaze, "How do you mean you once served as his right hand? You do not appear to be that old?" and turning to the halfling he said, "Hello, Sapphire was it? If you have not heard of me, my name is Sir Thomas Shineshield and I must agree with Luciano on this subject, the voice of the gods can be a great and terrible thing to channel, especially the voice of a god such as Pelor. However, while under my protection I will try to help relieve some of the stress of this burden."
Turning back to Luciano he said, "Once again I must agree, but I am afraid I do not understand the meaning of the 'Mad God's Key'"

Male Human Inquisitor 1

"Looks can be decieving. My extra years were bought at terrible price.
As for our mystery, we are at a temple. Perhaps someone here is more learned than ourselves. Let's ask around."
Luciano leaves and starts inquiring about the Mad God's Key in the temple.

male Human Paladin 1

Deciding not to press the issue, Thomas turned to the halfling and said, "If you'll excuse me Sapphire, I plan to start asking around like Luciano, perhaps with the three of us split we can find our information faster." Thomas then stood up and followed Luciano out of the door.

Male Dwarf Ranger 4/Wizard 5/Temple Raider 6

As you ask around the temple you find out quickly that esoteric knowledge is not the forte of Pelorites.
As a matter of fact after asking around for an hour or so, Luciano only comes up with one bit of useful info, a snarky comment by one of the guards, "if you're looking for a key you should be asking a locksmith" that somehow strikes him as profound.
Thomas has a bit more luck, with one of the temple sisters offering to go with him to the Great Library of Greyhawk and look for information.

male Human Paladin 1

Thomas will inform the others about the sisters offer, and when he will be leaving. If anyone wishes to come along, Thomas has no objection.

Male Hafling Monk 1

Well nobody touched the food, so in my pack it goes! Big grin on face and go to sister Heather for advice and any info she may have. As well as fair wells. Gather my gear and head towards the front door hoping to catch every one leaving. If I run into Luciano, I will tell him he too looks to be touched by gods, and if he would like it I would like to be his friend for we both are guided by gods.
If I run into Thomas then I will help in the Library. Mention to both that the profligacy said some thing about defeating a minor evil in the north, should we start there?

Male Human Inquisitor 1

"There is wisdom in going to the library. Sir Thomas, you should go and see what knowledge you may turn up. Sapphire, you should come with me to inquire with local locksmiths. You are from here i presume, and I don't know the area well. We can meet back up here at the temple later and compare our findings."

Male Hafling Monk 1

"that is Cool with me. Now what would a Mad person want to unlock, and then we have a starting point, well at least which locksmith we want, like witch level of complexity we need, you know a simple lock or a real hard one, just remember, they are mad so they may have the key and not know it, you know what I mean...oh yeah this way" and take Luciano to the nearest locksmith. Nibbling on some cheese.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

"Let me lead the way, you tell me where I am going."
Surely the sight of this small halfling walking with the Inquisitor, radiating malice, must be an odd one. Maybe not is the Free City though.
Luciano leads the halfling (since she doesn't see so well) through the city. Getting through the crowd is probably not a real challenge.

Male Dwarf Ranger 4/Wizard 5/Temple Raider 6

Sir Thomas- You travel through the streets of Greyhawk, with this younger lady, her name is sister Marie, attached to your arm. Even though your not entirely sure where the library is, you have a feeling that she's taking the long way, as the two parks that you have traveled through seemed to be much out of the way. And you find yourself wishing that you would just get there as sister marie's incessant bable has taken a decidely disturbing tone, you're pretty sure that you've told her three times now that children are not part of you immediate future, you hope.
In fact it seems that Pelor himself has taken an interest in seeing that you are uncomfortable, as his gaze seems to beam down upon you quite forcefully, and by the time you see the great library along the outer wall, you are quite drenched in sweat. Of course, it could just be that it's late summer, but you have the distinct feeling that you are forgetting something...
As you walk up the stairs to the library, you are eager to change the discussion to the pillars, carved in the shapes of scholars holding open books, that support the roof. Anything to not have to answer Marie's question, asked twice now, of if you have ever thought of leaving the church and starting a family.
It is with great relief, when you are stopped by two men, followed by immediate fear (yes even a paladin may know it) of a return trip, when they inform you that the library's closed today.

Male Dwarf Ranger 4/Wizard 5/Temple Raider 6

Luciano and Sapphire- As you travel through the hot and humid streets of the Artisan's quarter, hoping that you are in the right area, for several hours you learn that Greyhawk has many locksmiths. Indeed, it seems that the most interesting thing that would happen was Luciano being stopped by the watch, as they has a report of a "suspicious man who seemed to have abducted a little girl".
However, you find out, just before nightfall that there is one locksmith in particular who has a reputation for being able to open any lock. His name is Theldrat, and his shop is across the street from an inn called the Blue Dragon, down in the river quarter. Actually you get the idea from the locksmith you're talking to, a rather hirsute dwarf, even by dwarven standards, that the suspicion is that Theldrat must use some kind of magic in his business, as nobody "can open any lock that damm fast."

male Human Paladin 1

Thomas looked at the two men, then at sister Marie, then back to the two men, "Well thank you for the information. Let us return to the temple, sister." As they turned around, Thomas looked at the two men with a look that said "Help me" and started on the way back to the temple trying to remember what it was he was forgetting.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

"Well little one, let's see if we can find this Theldrat. If he is not at his shop, he might be at he inn. Otherwise, we must meet our companion".

Male Hafling Monk 1

"Sure, I know where the Blue dragon is, this way and don't worry about the guards I think they are just jealous of how determined you look, and I am not a little girl, I am 24 for crying out loud, these guards take their jobs too seriously they just need to relax, hey those look like good apples and I bet they are in season, well the green ones are the red ones are just a little later, I am getting one, do you want one, there good, I got some of the wine from the prelate's office, you want some, well lets get going, why you dragging your feet, and stop rolling your eyes, do you think I talk too much?" lead Luciano to the Blue Dragon.

Male Hafling Monk 1

Hey John how do you change the font and color on this thing? Is one copper fine for 5 apples? that is what I would like to buy from the vender and give one to Luciano and eat another.

Go to the play-by-post discussion thread for instructions on how to roll or type out of character, etc. One copper is fine, and the apples are luscious this time of year too! But I need a knowledge local check or a diplomacy check to gather info, for you to find your way to the blue dragon

Sapphire easily learns the directions to the locksmith from a kindly old gnome.
"Well my dear, are you sure that this ruffian isn't giving you a hard time? Humph, well I guess you know your business. You know I used to be quite the sculptor back in the day, unfortunately the knuckelgout has done a number on my hands."
"Oh sorry, I digress. Yes you're looking for Theldred right? Well you have to head back out to the main road, you know I remember seeing the Old Mad Mage on that road one day, crazier than a loon he was they say. But of course nobody could deny his power."
"Oh sorry about that, well anyway you have to head north on the main road until you come to riverside road. They used to call it Robilar's road, of course that was before he turned all evil and betrayed his companions they say. I'm not so sure about that, it just doesn't smell right, I saw him one day you know, flying high above the city on one of his dragons."
"Eh? Oh yeah directions, where was I? Oh right, riverside road. Anyway head down riverside road until you get to the watch building. The rumor is that the building used to belong to the thieve's guild, but that for some reason or the other the watch sized it. If you ask me, that's kobold crap, there ain't nothing that the thieve's guild ever took in this city that it just gave back. No ma'am, there's an ulterior motive there, mark my words. I heard rumor that some new group was thinking to start up and challenge the thieve's guild for control. So my thinkin' is that they're probably based somewhere down there in the river quarter and the thieve's guild figures that by givin' up a building down there they probably can get the watch to eliminate the competition."
"Hmm, seems like your friend is a bit impatient here. You know, that seems to be a common problem with the tall ones, well except the elves, and of course, they take forever to get anything done. Anyway take a right at the watch station an travel on a few more blocks, but make sure that you don't travel over far or else you'll end up on the docks, Lot's of unsavory types down there, reminds me of your friend here. You know, I fought in the war, reckon I saw a lot of things a gnome just shouldn't have to. Things like your friend here I think if my memory hasn't faded too much. I was part of a pesant levy raised up from Veluna to fight to Evil Ones forces. We were in a small town called Firewall in northern Furyondy, when the Old ones forces came rolling though. We couldn't do much to stop them, the orcs and dead things and the demons. Folks just ran, I would have too if I hadn't caught a spear in the knee. But there I was lying on the ground and listening to the screams all around, when up comes a man on a horse, dark as night he was, but I'll not forget his eyes. Eyes like your friends here, eyes that look like they belong to some hells spawn." He pauses for a moment and then continues.
"Anyway he says something in a language that I don't understand, and all around me folks just start getting up. But the problem was them folks was dead. Well I don't much know what happened after that, guess I'm musta passed out, but eventually I came to and found a place to hide and when my strength was enough I made my way back south. Trip nearly killed me, I reckoned it would have if I hadn't been found by some friendly folks. They got me to a cleric of Rao, who got me patched up. But there was no way I was gonna go back north again, not for any price. That was close to a hundred years ago, and humans don't live that long, but this fella may be related to him, and so if I was you I'd be mighty careful miss."
"Well just before you get to the gate you'll see the Blue Dragon, it's a mighty fine inn, and across the road you'll see Theldred's shop. You'll probably be wasting your time if you go now though. He generally closes up right after nightfall. And at rate I don't think I'd be wanting to travel down in the river quarter at night with this fella around, but your business is your own."
"I'd best be going now, no doubt my daughter's wondering what keeping me. You have a safe evening."

Male Hafling Monk 1

"Well thank you sir, you have been very helpful, I do hope your old war wounds so not bother you too much, as a citizen of the good lands and Greyhawk I thank you for your service in the name of all that is good, may the Lord Pelor shine goodness upon you and Garl Glittergold give you good humor and wealth, tell your daughter I, Sapphire, said hi and blessings upon her too, you take care of yourself and have a good night."

Looking at Luciano,"Boy he was sure he had seen you before...oh well the past is the past, now lets head for the Dragon and get a drink, and something to eat as well, I think the first drink will be on me, provided they don't make a stink about me being a Halfling...lets go, do you think we should send for Sir Thomas, I bet he is waiting at the temple, if I remember the Library is closed today, Earthday, you know he may be hungry as well"

Another apple goes into her hand and down her gullet.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

As they walk away, Luciano is quiet and introspective for a good amount of time. Suddenly he turns to Sapphirem and, in a quiet voice, begins to speak:
"It is true, he did see me that day, for my life has been unnaturally long, and like a fool I filled the extra years with horrors and atrocities. I remember his face, for I allowed him to live in order to spread his tale. I believed then, as I do now, that fear is a powerful weapon and always sought to let it do my bidding. Of course, now I turn that weapon on more deserving enemies and to greater purpose.
I raised all of his comrades to un-life that day. Twenty miles down the road, we encountered the walled hamlet of Stone Inn. They had sealed their gate and set themselves ready to defend against us, so I had those same zombies catapulted over the walls. The poor defenders were forced to endure the attack from horribly blasphemies of those they had once known in travel and trade. It was more than they could countenance. When we breached their gate, I had them all rounded up and sealed in the inn with their undead kin. I then had it set alight. It was a horrible end for such brave folk, and one of many foul deeds for which I shall face torment in my time.
I tell you this story not to brag or intimidate. As we travel together, many such tales may be heard. I have much to attest to in the afterlife, but until that time I serve the task which Pelor has set before me. Judge me as you will, but I pray that you will continue to join me in this destiny we obviously share.
Meanwhile, I am indeed hungry and could use a glass of good wine. Let us set ourselves towards this inn and rejoin with our third companion"

Sir Thomas- It seems that no help is forthcoming, and you begin to wonder what have failed to atone for, when the bells begin to ring on the temple of Pelor in the distance, at least you hope it's the temple of Pelor. When you mention it to sister Marie, she stops and exclaims, "Oh blessed father! I did not realize it was this late, I have enjoyed myself so. I must go now, I hope to see you soon."
And with that, sister Marie runs off. Allowing you to retun to the Blue Dragon in relative peace and quiet, given that many folks appear to be returning to their homes at this time.
By the time you enter the taproom of the Blue Dragon it is already packed with regulars and out-of-towners alike. Fortunately for you, the breeze outside off the river has picked up and with evening falling the temperature has gotten comfortable outside. You order an ale and decide to head out to one of the tables outside after letting the barkeep know that you'd like some mutton stew, warm bread and fresh butter sent out to the table as well.

Male Dwarf Ranger 4/Wizard 5/Temple Raider 6

Luciano and Sapphire- Well the old gnomes directions were clear enough. Which is fortunate since even though the lamplighters have got the majority of lamps lit there's still a great deal of the city in darkness, especially in the river quarter. At times it feels like eyes are upon you, and coupled with the darkness and the river fog that seems to be blowing up the streets, Greyhawk takes a decidely different feel at night, you think.
But soon enought you are in sight of your destination and oddly enough, Sir Thomas is outside at one of the tables enjoying an ale.

Male Human Inquisitor 1

Luciano finds a server before taking a seat and orders food and wine for himself and the others. He then heads back to the table outside, trying to find a seat where his back is not exposed. Inquisitors tend to pick up habits like this.
"How have you faired Sir Thomas? Our own endeavors bore only some fruit, for we have located a person of interest but must wait until tomorrow to seek him out."

Female Halfling Oracle/1

After Luciano's confession..."I am not one to judge, that is for the gods, I am sure that was the past, and you work for Pelor now, of course that may be why you work for Pelor now, as a way to make your after life a little easier, well I hope the best for you,we halflings never really understood fear, well my dad and I have always woundered what the big deal is, trust in the gods and if it is your time then nothing you do will change that, and that being said you must have something big to do to live so long after your normal years."

After getting to the Blue Dragon..."Well we do not have to go get Sir Thomas."

Head up to him "So how goes it brave Sir Thomas? We went all over, I grew up in this town and I did not realize how big this city is, we ran into a nice Gnome and he helped us get here, why are you sitting over there Luciano?"

"Come on Sir Thomas lets go sit with him, what did you do today, did the sister get you into the Library, I thought they were closed on Earthday."

Getting to the table "Luciano did you order drinks, remember I am paying for the first round, and did you get me some food too?"

After Luciano speaks "Speaking of fruit have an apple Sir Thomas, they are very good, I got them on our travels through the city, Luciano already had one, oh you got Lamb Stew, gee that looks good, has anybody ever tried to poison you, you know I could test it for you, but you do not suspect anyone trying to kill you...well no okay, maybe next time I will be happy to help you out"

Male Human Inquisitor 1

"Ironically enough, they have only tried to poison me since I took up my current occupation. I also prepare such precautions these days. As for the drinks, I grew up amongst vinyards and must admit that I am a bit of a connoisseur. When I saw this vintage I decided to try it. It is good, but the previous year's was better. However, so as not to impune your honor, I shall let you get the next round.
Here Sir, you may have my apple. I kept it safe. Due to an unfortunate accident in my youth, which incidentally has no evil story behind it, I find myself unable to handle apples or dates without them rotting in my hand."

Female Halfling Oracle/1

"Is that why you are single, every time you have a date it goes rotten, don't worry you will find some one someday." She smiles and waits for her food and booze

male Human Paladin 1

At the sight of Sapphire, Sir Thomas suddenly realized what he had forgotten, he had forgotten his charge! Inside he tore himself up but on the outside he did his best to keep his composure,"Ahh, a person of interest? Good work my friends, unfortunately, my searches did not bear such fruit. As Sapphire has said, the library was indeed closed causing sister Marie and I to have much more conversation than I had anticipated," Taking the apple, Thomas said, "Thank you Luciano, how unfortunate, you have not had the pleasure of a fresh apple in such a long time? You truly do not know what you're missing." With that, Thomas took a bite out of the apple.

The three of you enjoy your evening and your meal before heading to bed. The next day dawns clear, if perhaps a bit hazy, it doesn't take an oracle to tell it's going to be a hot one!
Luciano, one odd thing comes to mind after sleeping on it, yesterday was Earthday and the library should have been open. It's today, Freeday, that most businesses are closed, including the library.

As you're having breakfast and enjoying the rather quiet morning, since most businesses are closed today, you glance across the street at the locksmiths shop, thinking that you're going to be out of luck since he's probably closed today. But you notice to your excitment that perhaps Theldrat is in today as the door to his shop is slightly ajar.

Well then I must check this out. Leaving the door open is an invite to unsavory types. I must see that he is not just being robbed.

Watching Sapphire leave and stroll across the street, Thomas stood up and said, "This little one is going to be a handful, eh? Would you like to come Luciano, im sure it is nothing, but on the off chance there is something sinister in there, it could never hurt to have backup." With that Thomas strode out of the inn in pursuit of Sapphire.
