Everything is above board and available for perusal on my character sheet, equipment is bought, char is updated and remaining gold is listed there. I have an awful lot to catch up on still and i'm out of the house most of my waking hours at the moment so i'd rather be given some benefit of the doubt that i've done it ok to be honest.

If it really is a huge issue i'll draw up the list sometime in the next few days. Its complicated by the fact that I drew some gold out of my share to buy mundane things before the big split, and carried some gold in that time from it too.

1. Can't see what break bonus Linah took (2k gold or +1 to skill etc as above). Khalid took moldspeaker ability, everyone else took cash.

Oh, i didn't know we could pick our own. Then i'm going to go with a +1 on Heal checks, since that's what Linah's been doing most of the time.

I've also finished my shopping scrolls (or scribing scrolls).

Benefit: You can create a scroll of any spell that you know. Scribing a scroll takes 2 hours if its base price is 250 gp or less, otherwise scribing a scroll takes 1 day for each 1,000 gp in its base price. To scribe a scroll, you must use up raw materials costing half of this base price. See the magic item creation rules in Magic Items for more information.

That basically means that i pay half price for the scrolls i scribe myself, correct?

If so, then here's my selection (all scrolls are crafted at lowest possible level):

2 Remove disease (325 gp)
2 Remove curse (325 gp)
5 Bull's strenght (325 gp)
5 Enlarge person (62,5 gp)
5 procetion from evil (62,5 gp)
5 lesser restoration (62,5 gp)

total cost: 1162,5 gp leaving me with 359 gp.

I hope it's correct. Honestly i'm crap at selecting equipment and it's by far the aspect of the game i enjoy the least. If you have any suggestions (or that something is plain wrong) i would be happy to hear it.

Yes, half price although I'd imagine the group would let you craft group buffs out of the group share. None of these are for Linah's personal benefit.

No its not a huge issue.

Sorry if I came across as hostile buddy, im still badly sunburnt and my girlfriend and her family are walking me around Odessa every day mercilessly (i'm about 131kg at the moment so its an effort!)- its incredibly good for me but I get back in irritable and grumpy atm.

yeah... but they free up her spell slots. that's a benefit :)

Sort of, but that's why we have a party treasury, we still have about 3000gp in it, we can us it for this stuff or just split it up and you will get about 600gp anyways...

+1 to using party gold to pay for Linah's scrolls. Of course, that puts Patrik back in the shopping mall, which he might not appreciate. :)

No offence taken I promise.

and another +1 party pays for Linah's scrolls.
Because it's not like we'll be able to use them on her! :-)

Spend the extra cash on Cloak of Resistance, or buff your shield/armour/weapon.

K, I will add the scrolls to the party spend and then let everyone know what is left. Maybe we should go ahead and just get another wand of CLW while we are at it, just thinking of the warning from the DM about time...

BTW Grall is going to pick up an extra common Falchion as his other backup weapon in case it gets lost/destroyed/disarmed/etc. Will deduct the 75gp...

Do it, ya. This DM loves to crit me.

Do I ever... wait did I say that out loud..

+1 to the cloak of resistance suggestion for Linah. A little better bonus to your save rolls always comes in handy. Looks like the best buy for her at this point, since she already has +1 armor and shield.

Male HP(104/104 or 125*/125*) Gnoll Barbarian 7 - Invulnerable Rager

OK I made the updates to the party treasury.

Linah, please add the following items to your character:
Scrolls of inviso purge-crafted 2
scroll of breath of life 1
scrolls of resist fire 2
wand of CLW (50) 2
Scrolls Remove disease 2
Scrolls Remove curse 2
Scrolls Bull's strength 5
Scrolls Enlarge person (2nd lvl) 5
Scrolls Protection from evil (2nd lvl) 5
5 lesser restoration 5

Please note I upgraded the 1st lvl scrolls of enlarge and bulls str to 2nd lvl.

Zeladiel:
Scrolls of Haste 5
Scrolls of Blur 10 (grall bought these for you)

We still have 1103gp in the treasury in case you think of anything else...

Just thought of something, what about buying Linah the haversack so she can actually use these scrolls?

I've added the scrolls to Linah's inventory and updated my character sheet. I also took Joana's advice and bought a cloak of resistance +1.

hp 44/44; AC 17; Init +5 Male Elf Wizard (Evoker) 7

Scrolls added.
Once Zeladiel has a Scroll of Blur, he can learn it, then create all the other Blur scrolls for Grall at half price. I don't mind paying for the original full price scroll since I consume it and add it to my book. Or has Grall already paid for it?
Note, this isn't an issue with the Haste scrolls, since I learned Haste for free as one of my automatic spells, and can just start churning them out at half price. :-)

I bought it for you and then paid 1/2 price for the 10 scrolls assuming you would craft them for him. Don't worry about paying for it, you casting it on him is payment enough...

We have the haversack so we should just carry enough food and water to hold us over there and back to supplement any scrounging we need to do.

Cold weather clothing, a couple of tents. Mules could give us away pretty quickly, maybe we should just pack it all in?

Maybe get one of those Ioun torches in case we do any cave dwelling for you guys?

I'm a big fan of doing encumbrance and carrying capacity in broad (but vaguely reasonable) strokes.

Haversack holds 120 lbs.

3 medium tents is 90 lbs
30 days of trail rations is 180 lbs

Assuming Linah isn't delving into higher level spell slots to create food but your completely reliant on divine casters to create water (fine unless they all die) it looks like you could do it without animals. You've got 150 lbs excess that Grall and Sajan can split (and Sajan can carry a god awful amount). The monk will have a very bulgy backpack though.

Its going back a bit but if you recall I described the haversack as having tents and things pre-included so I'm fine enough with you saying we have x within the general tolerances of what you can carry.

K, so 2 tents (Large/Medium) (70 lbs) and some of the rations (50 lbs)in the haversack.

Probably need to get us MW Backpacks, otherwise I only have about 20 lbs of extra weight I can carry or 30 with the MW Backpack.

Of course there will probably be plenty of Gnoll meat once we get there? :)

Fair point, backpacks still only have 60lbs capacity.

So you and/or Sajan will also need to carry sacks of food. Probably not a lot of game effect though, you'll have eaten a third of it or so by the time you make it to Pale Mountain and will be close to cramming it all into backpacks at that point. Maybe a small effect on combat encounters on your way there.

You can probably see now why I threw the haversack in though.

A few more levels and Linah will be creating all your food and carrying will stop being an issue (unless someone wants to make an archer with their 400 arrows).

DM, when are you going to e-mail the webmasters and link up our IC thread with the OOC etc.? I'm trying to make it so I can browse all my games from just my campaigns section ;).

Load Sajan up with whatever, hes got at least 100 lbs spare before he hits medium load.

Edit: Linah just cast Ant Haul on Sajan every morning while we're travelling. Problem solved.

I've been avoiding it as I fear all uncertainty and change.

No. I've been meaning to do it, probably tomorrow.

Edit: So Sajan can carry 750 lbs on a medium load. Hilarious. Your at the point where he wouldn't be able to fit that many cubic feet of stuff around his body. Maybe he drags it all behind him.

Or, you know, there's the Tiny Hut spell. Which is actually an evocation spell and I was looking at it, but put it off. If there's a scroll in town and the party is okay with the cost (375gp) Zeladiel can have it in his book by the next day.
If not, I was probably going to learn it next level anyway.
It does consume one of my third level spells per day, probably the empowered magic missile.

Provided that the cash is there to make it happen, I'd be good with that. For that matter if the cash isn't there Khalid would be willing to donate from his personal wealth to make that happen. (Note: Khalid does not have enough to pay for the scroll himself, only about 2/3 of it.)

Should Nuveril pick up a few more javelins if they have some in her size? The number of flying foes we've run into already is above par. She's been fortunate enough to be able to retrieve any of them she's thrown thus far, but she only has 5 so there's not many to spare if some get lost. Then again, she also only has 10 lbs of leeway before a medium load.

I think that picking up a few more might be a good idea.

Ditto. Zeladiel can put in 200gp too. That's if Dan says there's a scroll about. I don't have a year to find one any more. :-)

I'll also buy another quiver of 20 arrows. Who knows how long it will be before we kill another archer? :-)

Availability of Small-sized javelins in Kelmarane, DM?

Sounds like a scroll an important trading stop could have. Let us say Felliped has one in her inventory.

Fine with you buying small javelins.

Oh I'll be looking forward to the roleplay when people try and convince Nuveril to move into the magical hemisphere.
