Hobgoblin Help

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I am looking to play a hobgoblin in an upcoming campaign, and I was wondering if there are any "special things" out there for hobgoblins; Racial Substitution levels, Alternate Class Features, racial feats, etc.
Even an article in a KQ would help.

Its a 3.5 resource but I think its worth a look.

Reality Deviants, "A touch of evil 2 - Hobgoblins" by Chris Caran.

I basically play Hobgoblins like Roman Centurions in Orc Suits. They understand discipline and accept it. At the same time they're bigger and badder than almost all average humans. With a little inspired leadership they are very very scary.
They are able to overcome problems through teamwork and sacrifice and they are aiming to make a world where non goblinoids don't hold any power.

The 3.5 (or is it 3.0?) book Monster by Alderac Entertainment Group has a section on hobgoblins that I like. On the other hand, I really like that book overall. The section on the hobgoblin specifically isn't more than maybe a page and a half, but there's a lot of info scattered throughout the book. It's got tips on how to play monstrous races (and generally on how to play an outcast), height, weight and age, rules for half-hobgoblins, prestige classes such as Scavenger and Tribal Champion.

Also, there's some of the art in that book is great. While black and white only, they've really captured that gritty look I like in a book about (mainly) savage humanoids. The gnoll on p32 is pure love... Or pure fear, I get them mixed up sometimes.
