GenCon 2010

Paizo, I am already worried for you guys. I mean, with this big of a blowout at this year's GenCon, What ever are you guys going to do for NEXT year????? You are going to have to come up with something WAY over the top. Maybe dancing Monkeys acting out the top ten Pathfinder Chronicle Tales. You barely have a year to come up with the "NEXT BIG THING" before GenCon 2010 will be on you. Looks like even more sleepless nights & long weekends ahead for you. HEHEHEHEHE

hehe dancing monkeys. No a bad idea.

Now that Pathfinder is out, I really think it will take a year for people to digest it and appreciate it.

Tonight we had a Grand Melee, 9 players. 4th level characters. 10 rounds. AMAZING how much has changed. Just subtle number differences, or flavor changes, or new combinations of feats and affects. This isn't just a rehash of 3.x, it really is different.

Then, personally, I would just like to see Paizo do what they do best, step back and write super quality adventures and products for the hobby.

I would LOVE to see Paizo expand beyond fantasy, but I doubt that will happen anytime before 2012 (and then it doesn't matter cause the world will burn-baby-burn!). I'd LOVE to see Paizo tackle Pulp Adventures! but that won't happen.

So, I'll settle for them doing what they do best. Write adventures and products with SUPER HIGH production value.

Let's face it, in this industry THAT is something new and different.

I'm hoping for a more low-key Gen Con next year, one reflecting a maturing system. There will surely be sassy new releases and some special Pathfinder stuff, but I'd rather not see the company kick it into a new direction like they did this year and two years ago. Hope that makes sense.

2011 can kick it up a notch again. But you have to bring it back down once in a while :)

Darn right. These last couple of years have taken a toll on me. Ready to chill out and just play.

But now that I think about it... Pathfinder Modern, or Pathfinder Gothic Horror sounds pretty cool... hmmmmm

GenCon 2010, Paizo acquires D&D from Hasbro.

OK, Planescape would be enough ;-)

You know what I would like Paizo to have at GenCon 2010? A GIGANTIC ROOM to play PFS in...one with good acoustics so that we can all be loud and having a great time while being able to hear the GM at those intense moments. I saw more than a few empty tables in a room that fits the bill...I wonder if that room will be up for grabs. ;-)
