Well im about to start this adventure path with my grou and im wanting some advice or sugestion's on anything I should alter due to the party makeup in all cases where they are available i am using the pathfinder classes and pathfinder race modifiers.

The party is as follows

A catfolk barbarian
A human fighter who uses several feats from the pschycic handbook
A Kobold rogue
A Kobold Bard
and a half/elf sorceror/rogue

I nerfed all non-core races when we started, but allowed some classes from WoTC's PHB2 and Complete series. All my players are either human or half-elf. We have a knight (city guard), wizard, rogue, binder, and hexblade.

Have you and your players read the CotCT Player's Guide or Guide to Korvosa?

Korvosa isn't Sharn. The vibe I and my players got from the materials is the city's population doesn't brook "weirdness." Your players will start at a disadvantage in many of the adventures that require parlaying.

I'm not suggesting that you can't pull this off, but it will probably require a lot more prep work from you.

well most of the part i can work around easily enough (I think) since im setting it in my own campaign world. My main problem that i can see is the half/elf Rogue/sorcerous who wants to start as an actual drug addict (a full blown addicat and not a recovering one). Anyone have any idea's how i can make this work?

There are drugs outlined in the AP, so they'd pick one of those to which they are addicted. You'd go from there. More than likely you'll have to develop the underground a bit in terms of drug dealers they'd associate with, and other addicts they'd know, and (for instance) they'd likely be at least passingly familiar with Eel's End at least as a place they could go to get a fix.

I don't really feel we have enough information to provide much that is useful considering you're putting it in your own campaign setting, and providing a very limited amount of information.

The thing that strikes me most about your party is the lack of dedicated "pure" divine or arcane casters. Yes, you have a bard and a multi class sorceror, but as your group goes to mid and high levels, the lack of dedicated casters (and their access to higher level spells) is going to tell. Try convincing one of your players to play a cleric, favored soul, or combination of classes that will provide divine caster levels. A wand of clw and potions can cut it at low levels, but not so much at high levels.

I will not give away spoilers in this thread, but the folks here at Paizo have a very good grasp of the 3.5 rules system and some of the combats can be brutal. Plan your group accordingly.

Well now the person who is playing the rogue/sorceror drug addict is also wanting to be a bit of a spy and just arrived home (him being my older brother) with a notepad asking me to provide him with a list of names for contacts and the like as well as suppliers of drugs and things. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like your players want to dump more work on you. I make my players come up with their own contacts and I nerf what I don't like. I haven't had to do that yet (as no one has picked the queen).

Point out to your players the rules on contacts found in UA & DMG2. A contact should be one of three types - information contact, skills contact or social contact. And the "higher" up a contact's social standing, the more difficult it is to see them.

As I mentioned in a prior post, you might want to get a copy of the Guide to Korvosa. Some of my players picked their contacts from this book.
