T-shirt for last Dragon mag or date and stuff idea

Website Feedback

You know; I would buy a T shirt that said "the day the world ended and had the date for the last issue of Dragon/Dungeon mag; or the day the world stood still or " a moment of silence and the date" or "NO MORE TEARS, last tear dropped on "date of last mag" or End of and Era; and the date; T shirt should be black; themed in mourning.

It would be awesome to get to do one more Dragon or Dungeon shirt, but I don't think Wizards of the Coast would let us do one quite like that.

So long as you didn't mention the magazine or anything, there is nothing to stop you from releasing a black t-shirt with a simple date and non-specific slogan like "The Day My World Ended" or "Gone but Not Forgotten" or "Remember." The problem would be, would you go with 8/7/07 or 8/29/07? Of course, I'm sure you guys want to play nice with Wizards, so it's probably not the best idea at this time. If I were going to any Cons this year, I'd make this shirt myself.

True enough.

yeah, would still be cool; generate some talk and let all us in the know give a all knowing smirk hehe; all knowing smirks are good for gm's ')

Well, could you let us know the official date for each; I am thinking to just make a shirt with the date stamped on it for myself and see who notices :)

I think I'm going to get new mileage out of my custom Spellfire shirt. Slogan on the back - "The Abyss just isn't what it used to be."

Personally, I feel that the date isn't the significant part of mourning the loss of the print versions of Dragon and Dungeon. It's good to have a spot on the calendar to remember people (and I guess things) that we've lost, but I wouldn't personally put it on a shirt. It's too arbitrary. (I mean, if we need to be told what the date was, the date itself wasn't such a memorable marker in the first place.) Issue number seems much more directly relevant here, as it is the real milestone of a magazine's lifespan.

I think a T-shirt with a poignant image of a dragon graveyard or fallen great wyrm, with the issue number and "RIP" somewhere on it, would make the point without the need for a calendar date. (But of course, the same content would work along with the date if you feel the date is significant and decide to include it, so...to each his own, really.)

Anyway, I do support this idea of a commemorative shirt, even though I'm continuing to do Maps of Mystery for the online version of Dungeon. They feel like two different entities to me, still, and I think it's natural to miss the print run and still enjoy the online version as it continues.

Is there going to be one for issue 151? Cause thats the only way I'm gonna look at it.

If there is can you give any hints as to what it might be?

I'll be turning it in today, so hopefully they'll be able to fit it into #151.

I decided to start things off with a new town map, in case anyone's looking for place to launch a new campaign. It's a frontier mountainside mining town with canyons, rapids, bridges, a quarry, mines, etc...

Ooh, I'll be all over that!

Are they making the whole issue 151 available for free? And if so when is it ALL going to be put up?
