Strategically placed halfway between two important cities, the Riverside Inn is the must-stop of all the cargo ships sailing on the Great River. Many captains choose to make a stop at the inn to drink its famous stout beer and taste its delicious sandwiches stuffed with salted butter and salmon, and many captains and crews know about the hidden activity of the inn: a gambling house. Our Price:

Some call it “the Gateway to Hell” or “the Burning Prison,” and most common people conjure its name to scare children. Always staying between myth and legend, no one knows if the temple actually exists. Unfortunately, as often happens, legends are true, and far in the northern mountains, hidden to the sight of most, rises the Burning Temple. Common folks simply cannot access to the Burning Temple as it rises in the middle of an active volcano. The Temple sits on a fungus-shaped platform rising in the very center of the volcano.
A long bridge connects the temple with the edge of the crater where a pathway connects the bridge to the valley below. Physically, the Temple simply should not exist, as the magma should quickly consume the stone fungus and make it collapse, yet it stands against the centuries due to a divine intervention. The temple is devoted to an obscure deity named by local folklore “The Burning One."
The Burning One protects its worshipers against the poisonous gases and the exhalations of the volcano as well as from the heat. Still, the cabal of priests who run the temple need servants and slaves to work in the dungeon of the temple. The evil priests send their dark emissaries called “the Burning Angels” to the near countries to kidnap unwary people; unfortunately, these people are not protected as the priests are, so they quickly die by poisonous gases and exhalations making the priests always in need of fresh slaves.

The Bridge gatehouse stands much like a small stronghold at one end of a big stone bridge. This massive building extends for two levels in height and for one level underground. The bridge gatehouse mantains a well-armed garrison of soldiers, as well as a duty office which oversees the goods moving from one place to another. The bridge gatehouse may stand at the end of a river bridge or before a bridge leading into a great city, or even before a big castle.
On the ground floor, a double gate sealed by two sturdy iron portcullises allows or denies passage through the bridge gatehouse. The gate is flanked by a guardpost and by a duty office. Each caravan or cart crossing the bridge gatehouse must stop and visit this office before going ahead. Two big storage rooms on this level are used to store seized goods. Large corridors featuring arrowslits run along the perimeter of the bridge gatehouse, allowing many soldiers to easily defend the stronghold from every side. Two spiral staircases run through the gatehouse...

0one's Colorprints #5: Sewers Below PDF

Our Price:

Which sort of dangers hide in the sewers? Where exactly is that damned thieves' hideout located? Where is the temple devoted to that filthy deity? Where is that underground smugglers dock? And, finally, how can we avoid becoming hopelessly lost in that damned sewer maze? Find out in Sewers Below!
Can be assembled—in different configurations—into a 17x22 inch map!
Sewers Below presents four color maps you can arrange as you wish to form a larger map. You can event print more than one copy of the same map in order to craft a bigger map.
This Colorprint contains the following sewer-themed maps:
- The Maze
Many underground waterworks cross and connect themselves in this filthy maze. Some secret doors lead to mysterious chambers containing goods or to other places below the city.
- The Hideout
Nobody is able to find this hideout with a secret entrance hidden somewhere in the sewer maze below the city. A corridor encircles the whole hideout and leads to the actual entrance of the complex. Inside, a self-sufficient environment exists, containing a refectory, barracks, storage rooms, a fresh water well, and many other facilities.
- The Temple
Some whisper that the sewer's temple is devoted to a ratlike deity; others tell tales about unwary citizens drawn into the sewers and forever lost, possibly as victims of horrid sacrifices. The temple features a main entrance and secret side entrances. Inside are many other shrines, along with cells, the high priests' room, kitchen, larder and guardposts.
- The Dock
This sewer dock is well protected by two sturdy portcullises. A nest of rooms accessible via secret doors surrounds the dock entrance. The rooms are provided with arrowslits to defend the entrance. Only small rowboats can access the dock, due to the small size of the sewer channels, although it is said that smugglers can shrink larger boats in order to unload precious cargos of illegal goods into the storage rooms of the dock.

The Dwarven Excavation is an underground mining complex. It features tunnels and galleries dug for the sole purpose of extracting precious minerals, such as gold, silver, mithril and copper. But, often, the dwarves dig a tunnel they shouldn’t have dug, waking sleeping monsters, invading hostile territories and so on.
Can be assembled into a 17x22-inch map, in different configurations!
Dwarven Excavation presents four color maps you can arrange as you wish to form a larger map. You can event print more than one copy of the same map in order to obtain a bigger map.
This Colorprint contains the following maps:
- Mining Camp
The mining camp is the first settlement the dwarves build. A large elevator connects this camp to the surface world (or to the dwarven city). All around the elevator spreads the mining camp made of mining huts lodging the miners. Warehouses keep the materials and tools of the trade, and even an inn and a small chapel are found in this settlement. Many railroads for mining carts end their trail here.
- Mines
The Mines are a random excavation complex. Railroads go until it is possible, but many smaller galleries spread from the main railroaded tunnels.
- The Shaft
This large cavern hosts the largest excavation site of the entire mine complex. It is a large funnel going down for hundreds of feet. The dwarves didn’t feel discouraged and built a railroad winding down the shaft. Although it was a masterwork structure, mining carts often go off the rails and fall into the shaft.
- Military Outpost
Sometimes dwarves meet hostile underground dwellers that don’t allow further excavations. In such cases the dwarves set up a military outpost for the sole purpose of defending the territory. The military outpost is a self-sustaining structure with barracks, kitchen, forge and a well providing fresh water.

In the far reaches of the sandy desert, between hostile canyons and endless dunes, you can find the Gnoll Enclave. This settlement has been built over several flat-topped desert mountains linked to each other by bridges made of stone and bones. Led by a tyrannical packmaster, the desert gnolls are fierce foes backed up by a cabal of shamans and spirit callers.
Can be assembled into a 17x22-inch map, in different configurations!
Gnoll Enclave presents four color maps you can arrange as you wish to form a larger map. You can event print more than one copy of the same map in order to obtain a bigger map.
This Colorprint contains the following maps:
- Dwellings
On this plateau you can find the most basic gnoll settlement: dozen of gigantic huts made of hides and bones, mostly used for sleeping and to take shelter during the night or during the frequent sandstorms. A single well provides enough fresh water for the gnolls living there. Standard features of every gnoll settlement are the hyena fences, scattered among the huts. Several dump pits have been excavated there and there. The cabal of shamans erected a couple of totems and designated two spots as sacred ground for spirit calling.
- Temple of the Hyena God
A gigantic dome flanked by two smaller ones rises on this plateau. A single, giant statue of a mighty demonic gnoll overlooks a blood-spattered sacrificial altar. Bones of gigantic sand monsters form the ceiling of this impressive structure. A smaller dome is dedicated to minor gnoll deities. A single high priest surveys this structure at all times
- Slave Pen
This is where the gnolls keep their slaves. Mostly they maraud the desert caravans and then use the slaves for sacrifices or sell them to unscrupulous human bandits. The slave pen is built around a massive dragon skeleton dead from ages. The gnolls mount constant guard over the slave pen, looking through peeping holes made in the four corner huts. Hyenas also help the gnoll guards to survey the complex.
- Packmaster’s Palace
This massive structure is almost big as the temple. It houses the mighty gnoll packmaster along with his bodyguards and concubines. The packmaster hides a great treasure looted in many years of activity over the desert. The packmaster’s bedroom is full of looted furniture and treasure. A smaller building houses the elite troop as well as a packmaster’s personal larder full of fine spirits.
