Dungeons & Dragons is no mere game to Richard, Scott, and Elizabeth, the people profiled in the documentary The Dungeon Masters. Against a backdrop of crumbling middle-class America, these three adults have devoted themselves to the storied game. But their baroque fantasies are at odds with their mundane real lives, and they find it increasingly difficult to gain satisfaction from the imaginary triumphs provided by D&D.

In The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu, average-guy Jeff (Kyle Davis) learns he's related to world-famous "weird fiction" writer H.P. Lovecraft—and that he's the very last leaf on the Lovecraft family tree. He gets drawn into a plot to keep an ancient artifact out of alien hands. If he fails, the nefarious Starspawn (Ethan Wilde) could harness the relic's power to summon the alien god Cthulhu. And if that happens, the whole universe is at risk.
