Really Useful

5/5

These (along with the spell decks) I find as both a GM and player to be really useful and well worth the price.

I have seen and heard complaints about each feat being on a single sheet and only being able to print one feat per page. Now there is a trick to this and personally I like this format so much more than if they were to put six to nine feats on a single sheet.

The trick is you have to tell your printer to print multiple pages on a single sheet. Now the reason I like this is that I can also tell it to only print certain pages.

So you can just tell the printer what pages (thus what feats) you want and to print them all on a single page or a few pages if you have a few feats.

Overall these are great and I recommend them to anyone who would like to have the rules for their feats handy. Pun intended.

ummm...

Perhaps printing multiple pages on one sheet of paper? That can be done on any printer...

Seriously?

1/5

Maybe I'm missing something...

There seems to be only one card per page. Am I supposed to be printing out this pdf and getting only one card per page? How about laying it out so that I can print out 9 cards per page, like the very well-done Simply Spell cards?

If I had known this was how the product was presented, I wouldn't have blown $4 on it. A sample page would have been nice...

Here is a little help that Donna Fitch used that you might find very helpful: I was so relieved to find these cards. They contain all the spells in the Pathfinder core book, one spell per page. At first I was unsure about how to print them out, but a little experimentation solved that. The one spell per page arrangement allows for maximum flexibility. Simply set your printer to the desired number of cards per page. I started with 9 per sheet, printing on card stock, but the letters were rather tiny. Younger eyes than mine might find them acceptable. I settled on 4 per sheet, which almost exactly fit to pre-scored postcard stock (there's a little overlap when they're torn apart, but that's okay). I hope this helps!

Hope this helps!

Liberty's Edge

Yeah, far be it from me to tell Paizo what to do with their website, but that review should be stricken from the record. A one star review caused by user error is pretty bad for a product.

Do they come with printing instructions?

It sounds like the decision was intentional but the user of the product didn't get the message on how they were to be used. Knowledge of printing techniques is not something your average gamer comes equipped with so if no instructions are provided on printing, I think the average user is going to be pretty miffed.

If instructions are provided perhaps they need to be more prominent somehow. The flexibility provided does seem like a nice idea.

Your right and I should have placed something in the PDF to explain that. Once again I "assumed" someone knew what I thought was common knowledge. See what happens when you "assume".

Will there be a feat deck released for the advanced players guide? What about for the monster feats in the Bestiary?

I also have a question about the spell and feats decks. Will we be seeing any decks made for any of the Pathfinder Campaign Setting, Player Companion, or Adventure Path books?

Yes

I have kind stock to the "core product" with spell decks, but if there is a big enough demand, it could be possible, so I will give that a strong maybe.

Thank you for the response. I can't wait to see what you come out with.

Yay!

How can I print these without having my name on all of them??

The Concordance RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I would love to see the feat decks, the spell decks, etc. sold as a bundle -- like, all feat decks in one bundle, etc.

All of our card sets have the water marking on the cards. Sorry.

When we release all of them as a bundle set when we are done working on the other feat sets.

I have just purchased these and am somewhat disappointed in the fact that they are not bookmarked! I have to scroll through the whole lot to find a particular feat.

Did the aforementioned feat 'bundle' ever get put together? or a spell bundle?

Maybe in the future when we get some free time.
